Anyone have any ideas for this grace.

Hi mate,

Normally, you can get all the spare parts to an authorized service provider:
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com > locate a repair center

Alternative as a boarder wrote that you can look on eBay for second hand parts. They are cheaper but not new. ;)

I have an A135-S2326, one day he started to go black screen when I was on it... I would like to close the lid and reopen and it would be back on after about 20 seconds if it goes black again.

I thought that it was done with, then I switched the rear screen and I noticed that the computer was still on, you can see the desktop icons and can still run the laptop itself for some reason that the backlight is out. It would be an updated driver, relocation, or is the screen just didn't pull any more? When I plug in an external monitor it all good im.

I was going to try to do a system restore but last year I brought my laptop cause usb not working, they inturn screwed my motherboard trying to fix them. So they replaced my motherboard with what they said, it was the same characteristics as the former, a few months later went to do a recovery and the disc when I put pop up would be on screen system does not recognize. Called the toshiba repair place they said something about something reset to make the drive work, which i have no idea what it ment.

    Hello!

    > When I plug in an external monitor it all good im.
Looks like a problem with the inverter LCD or FL.

I think a recovery facility will not solve the problem because the external monitor works without problem.

In your case I go for a local ASP and ask for a technician. They can check your laptop.
On the Toshiba site, you can search an ASP: http://www.csd.toshiba.com

  • iPhone 6 screen goes black randomly. Hard reboot solves the problem temporarily

    Hi all

My iPhone 6 screen goes black randomly (usually during sleep) and when it happens, the fact response to touch or no sound. I know that the phone is on because I can always call another phone and it sounds on the line, but as I said the iPhone does not ring. Hard reboot (press home + power button for a while) will not solve the problem immediately after the restart, but after some time (hours or days), it goes black again and I have to do the same thing.

No idea why this is happening? Is it a software or a hardware problem?  I'm really curious to know how to restart the phone resolves the problem.

I am not able to take it to the bar of the kind of these days because of my busy schedule. I wonder what they need to replace when I take it to the store.

    Please, share your ideas.

    Thank you

Sounds like a problem of software for me, especially because it forces is a troubleshooting step software, and you say that solved the problem (of least temporarily).

However, I still think that the Genius Bar would be a good idea. They have access to diagnoses that are not accessible by the user, who can easily identify which applications or processes are causing the problem. I think that they can also do this by phone, but I rarely call support so I am not sure.

  • Spectrum x 360: screen goes black randomly when on battery and some energy-saving options enabled

    Hello everyone,

I bought this fantastic machine called spectrum x 360 and I love it.

Unfortunately since the early days I'm facing what I think it's a problem of driver/software (not the related material).

This problem only occurs when I'm on Windows, not in the bios or at the startup. JUST IN Windows envinroment, especially after the login, and when the computer was turned off. Sometimes when I use it after a while, randomly.
This occurs only when the spectrum is on battery. The problem does not appear on AC adapter.

Problem: the screen goes black randomly for a few seconds and then reappear, sometimes the entire image on the right slide and there is a part that looks like yellow and corrupt, then goes black and reappears.

Windows Version: I'm on Windows Home 64 bit, build 14393.321 10 (update of the anniversary).

The entire screen works fine for normal operations, no artifacts.

    Replication of the problem
Initially, I was able to reproduce the problem with the driver build 4360 (which is the version of the driver from the HP site). Whenever I loaded the home page of youtube and the banner has started playing on the screen went black sistematicly.
Then I updated the GPU driver through the Device Manager, which has improved my GPU driver to 21.20.16.4494, as of July 25, 2016 and the problem happens much more rarely.
Now I am facing this problem again but Edge works correctly and is not the cause of the problem, it can appear even when I don't do anything with the PC.

I noticed this problem appears when saving options are enabled for the Intel GPU (I'm trying to translate this to English because the GPU driver Panel is in Italian):

    -update panel houses;
    -advanced mode; energy saving

If I disable these options, the problem does not appear or, better, for I've tested so far, he could not displayed when options are not in market, but I have not tested this very long to be sure.

In my opinion, there is a bug in the display driver, or some customizations made by HP causes problems with the driver.
The rest of the computer works correctly.
Any idea to solve this problem? Or should I keep these options turned off power saving?

    Hi, thanks for your help.

I have a passion for COMPUTING and ex-computer SCIENTIST, I am familiar in surveys on hardware/software questions and hope that this post will help some users get rid of this problem.
Black screens and screen corruption has been issued by the option called "auto refresh Panel" energy saving.
I did a lot of hours on battery (condition where this pop ups problem) in these days and the problem didn't show when it was turned off.
To verify that I tried to activate "Panel options self-identity" in certain occasions and, at random, on the first boot of the machine (after being turned off) the problem arises again.
It certainly is a problem with this energy-saving option.
    Now everything works fine.
If the problem appears again, I will post more information.
    Thank you for your support.

I think it would be useful to stick this post on top in this section of the forum, to be useful to other users and being more visible.

  • Satellite P100 - the screen goes black

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100 and randomly, the screen goes black but the system continues to operate. I downloaded the latest drivers from toshiba, all power options the maximum support, run ccleaner and driver Sweeper to remove the old entries driver, re-installed the login screen of the mobo and nothing seems to work.

The screen goes black sometimes when using windows but STILL turns black as soon as the ramps of gpu for example of playing a video or comparative analysis of the graphics card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Model: Toshiba Satellite P100-PSPA6A-02NO21
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200@2GHz
GPU: Nvidia Quadro nvs 510 m
    Chipset: Intel i945PM
    HARD drive: Fujitsu 148GB
    RAM 2 GB
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 operating system

    Hey,.

    > ALWAYS goes black as soon as the ramps of gpu for example of playing a video or comparative analysis of the graphics card.
This means that the graphics card is defective

Theoretically, it could be an overheating problem too. Higher time can also cause a black screen. You should try everything that is possible to clean your laptop using the jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans.

If it doesn t help it seems to be a hardware malfunction but seriously a point would be interesting: have you noticed the same thing with preinstalled OS (Vista) Toshiba?

  • Satellite U920T - the screen goes black when you drag the keyboard

This morning, I turned on my U920T-10 days but the screen remained black.

At first, I thought the screen was broken, but in mode 'Tablet', the screen became. Now when I slide the keyboard the screen goes black again.

How can this problem be solved?

    Hello

For me, it looks like a bad connection somewhere between the screen and the motherboard.
This could be possible reason for failure to display while sliding in and out.

I guess this can be resolved easily and I think that it is a job for a technician (authorized service provider). I recommend you contact the service technician in your country to get the laptop fixed. I hope that the warranty is still valid in order to repair for free.

I hope that this can be corrected. I keep fingers crossed.

    Hi all.

    I'm new to this forum.
I bought my new Satellite A210-19 has a week ago and I have read many things on computers laptops tohiba and saw that there are models with this problem: the SCREEN SUDDENLY GOES BLACK and all you can do is push the button restart.

This happened to me yesterday and I am worried about it.
Maybe I just pushed something or done something wrong because I don't want to believe this new laptop could have a problem with the screen.
Do you have experiences with this screen problem?

Y at - it a update of the Bios or fix or something? I read that I should put up a processor at 100% and power to TOP LEVEL management, but that may not be a fix!

    Hi Tomas

I ve read in some computer magazines on the bugs in Vista and this problem could be linked to the question of Vista
I recommend the Vista update to the last State. All fixes and patches must be installed on your laptop.

In addition, you should check if you can update the graphics driver and BIOS.
Everything you will find on the page of the Toshiba driver.

  • Screen goes black randomly and the mouse resumed normal functions

My screen started to be empty at random. It seems to do a quick fade to black as if the power manager is turn off the screen. The PC stops not is and shake the mouse he brings.

I checked my video driver, malware, power settings (currently any screen power off or power off is disabled). Went to powercfg and checked last wake-up factor, but it does not list everything. If it's just a removal of the power management screen, not sure it would be listed here because it is not a full power down.

Is there a way to tell if it is the power Division of the screen Manager and if so, what is the cause of do?

I begin to suspect my keyboard although it's just a hunch. It's an old v1.0 MS Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000. Keys become a little sticky, although there is no any button power on this issue (like the old buttons suspend) and from the keyboard Manager, he was very much tied to her. According to me, it came with a mouse since I replaced it with a mouse Spawn CMStorm. Perhaps there is an intervention of the strange?

Original title: off dead zone screen

It doesn't seem to be a thermal problem of graphics card. Seems not be related to what application is running, or at room temperature and it seems to come back with the movement of the mouse (and stay off without moving the mouse) this is why I suspect something to do with power management.

    Any suggestions?

It looks like the mouse driver or firmware causing trouble...

With regard to the problem of black screen.
You must visit the page of the Toshiba driver and must download and update to the latest graphics card driver.

    1. you hear the music when the blackscreen appears?
    2. did you last changes made before the problem started?

  • Screen goes black whenever I move my Equium A200

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200, my screen goes black whenever I move the laptop, I do the screen before the screen lights up again! No idea why this happens?

    Thank you very much.

    Charlene.

It is not easy to say with certainty why this happens, but I guess that there must be a contact between display and motherboard problem.

  • My screen goes black, but is still on. My computer shuts down everything he does and I have to restart so that it become operational.

I said the video card is corrupted or is overheating.
The screen goes black randomly. Sometimes 2 minutes playing or until hours later. Sometimes it will not.

Connect the computer to another monitor. If the problems are gone, replace the original monitor. If the problems persist, then you have hardware problems on your computer. You can troubleshoot the hardware yourself:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

This includes exchanging the video card for a well-known work.

On tests of hardware failures often alleged swapping parts by parts checked. If you can not do the test yourself and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276, I bought 2 years ago. It worked fine except the clock which has never kept the exact time since I bought it. I turned it off Sunday night as I do regularly. • Satellite L405D-11V - freezes and the screen goes black when you watch the video

OK, so I have the Toshiba Satellite L405D-11V, I had a breakdown, basically, the computer freezes at any time and the screen would go black, with the fan and lights still ongoing, this could be at the start, or a few hours using the laptop, so I decided to ring Toshiba technology support and they arranged for my laptop to collect and be expelled for repairs.

I was able to track repairs online via the tracking service and was able to see what they were doing to my laptop, he said that they have ordered a part, it was underway and the repairs are completed.

However, I got the laptop back today, I turn it on, all right, I start using the cell phone that everything is fine, so I decide to watch a video on youtube, and it freezes again, so I turned off now pressed the power button, hoping he wasn't that a large, I turn back to and load the video once again it freezes and the screen goes black again, after that whenever I am watching a video or a game, it causes the computer to crash and freeze as before the repairs. Its still under warranty, I bought the laptop from the Comet, but I really don't want to send the laptop for repairs again and find it comes back with the same fault, is it interesting sending distributed, maybe see if the comet will replace the laptop as its still less than a year to buy the laptop, or it'll just be useful to save all the hassle and buy a new laptop? If this fault happened to someone else, I could use you some help, and if someone could shed some light regarding what could be bad?
