Satellite A30 - portable computer turns off

Hello
Ive hada satellite a30 for about 2 years now.
A few weeks ago, I reformatted the laptop and now whenever I watch a DVD after that 30 minutes, the laptop turns off and then used charging for a while.
In my view, it is an overheating problem but im not sure what is causing it or how to fix it.
Anyone has any suggestions would be accepted greatifully.
Sincere greetings
My

Hello

Well, of course, it could be an overheating problem. If the temperature drops to the critical limit for the operating system stops the unit. It is a thermal protection of the portable Toshiba.
Well, the overheating problem is a very serious problem. I recommend to check for dust cooling fans. Try to clean it with the vacuum cleaner.

Good bye

  • Satellite A30 554 will turn off by itself.

My Satellite A30 554 for a reason any began to turn off on its own after working for a while or even during startup. This happens both in Win XP and SUSE 10.0. I used the CD recovery to format the entire hard drive and reinstall the system and even during this computer just turned off, so it's sort of a problem material I think. Suddenly, this thing started to happen as early as last week. I have also had problems with before starting - just get a black screen instead of system startup, but usually remove the battery and put the rank or start once helped. Computer two years ago, and I think the warranty is over. What may be the cause of the problem and what can I do now to solve?

    Hello

Sometimes the notebooks closed because of overheating problems. There are a few reasons why units overheat. One of the reasons is the Sales cooling fans. Fans don property t work because of dust inside the laptop. In this case, I recommend to check the ventilation openings and clean it. You can use the vacuum to suck up dust.

  • Satellite A30 PSA30E suddenly turned off

My A30 satellite seems to work ok as long as the air can move freely under the fans. When the power is low and you plug it in, it turns off after about 5 minutes. You must charge the battery and remove the sector so that it works without going out suddenly while you're busy using it. All solutions? or the reasons why. Did the last update of the BIOS.

    Hey guys,.

Maybe you should do the following:

Take a can compressed air to an electronic market, blast, some air trough the vents of your laptop and try if your machines are chrashing... sometimes simply it s one with cpu clobbed dust fan and and a clobbed cooling system, causing problems like yours.

    It s worth a try...

  • Satellite A30 heats and turns off automatically

    Hello
I love my computer laptop satellite A30 with part number as PSA30E. Recently, it has developed a problem. the laptop GET closes after a bit of time if connect us the power supply external source.but the work of the laptop very well if the battery is fully charged. It is not warmed up quickly because it works with the external power supply. However I noticed that the machine gets very hot after a short time, then the pc stops automatically. is that someone can help me please...

    Hi stephanie,.

This soundslike a case of overheating caused by the heat sink of the CPU obstruction with dust and lint sucked up by the cooling fans. You will find this described in the following link:
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaA35/satellite-A35-fixing-overheating.htm

You will find that it is easier to use a vacuum cleaner pipe placed on the grids of air intake based on your laptop computer, since it is very effective and doesn't involve any dismantling of you A30.

    Kind regards

  • How and when the computer turns off automatically?

Listen to internet radio, Sys Pref > saving energy on the default setting, wake up and radio program cut.

This is great... .buth how and when the computer turns off?  When I reopen it wifi comes back, I'm correct when she stops she also turns off wifi?

    Hello allan299,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

According to your post, I see that you have any questions on how and when your computer shuts down, and how the WiFi on your Mac is affected. I know it's nice to be able to properly manage what happens when your computer stops and starts in mode 'sleep'. I'm happy to help you find the best resolution.

You're right, when your computer stops completely it will turn the Wi - Fi. If you enable the wake for network access, Wi - Fi remains lit, and you can access shared resources on your computer, such as printers or iTunes shared playlists even when your computer is in "sleep". Definition of a calendar closing and start on your Mac can also be useful.

Check out the following resources that will help the set options that control the energy use of your computer, sleep, and wake-up times for your Mac and the calendar from your Mac to turn on or turn off or go to sleep:

OS X Yosemite: energy saver Preferences

OS X Yosemite: set sleep and wake up on time for your Mac

OS X Yosemite: A schedule for your Mac to turn on or turn off or go to sleep

    Best regards.

  • My Satellite Pro M70 itself turns off in the middle of the secuence of startup

My Satellite Pro M70 itself turns off in the middle of the secuence of startup

After turning on if it passes the test post and enters the menu grub (Linux + Windows) or BIOS
without problems, but most of the time after the start of the BONE found in the start - up, suddenly it powers off the power.

The problem becomes bigger and bigger as punishment I can boot any operating system

As seen on messages more soon as I cleaned the vents of CPU with a spray suddenly sure I wasn't a problem of overheatting.

Someone has an idea of what can happen?

    Thank you

Hmm, the laptop passes the MESSAGE correctly and it stops during the initialization of the operating system. Is this good?

Well, in this case I would exclude the RAM to malfunction.

I put t also think that it's an overheating problem because the laptop should work a little longer until it would be closed due to high temperature.

What about the HARD drive malfunction? Are you sure that the HARD drive is ok?

In my opinion, you should check the HDD and maybe try another.

  • Satellite 1900-703: Swithces turns off

In the end, the computer turns off when you
    (a) I'm trying to install Adobe Reader 7
    (b) I have try to use SystemSuite 5 tools or virus check
In addition, although I followed all the correct instructions, the bios upgrade is not successful. I had a bad experience when after that I inserted the required disk and upgrading the bios has started, the computer has been cut and I could get it back that using the Windows XP boot floppies I had fortunately created.

I recently completely cleaned the computer and reinstalled everything, including MS patches and so forth.
Otherwise, the computer works fine, but in my opinion, the system is very fragile, somewhere.

    Any ideas?

It may be that the system is fragile, somewhere. From experience, I know that the OS can be unstable, only if the OS is installed without using the restore CD. I have the same unit at home and I had no problem with no software installation in particular not to use Acrobat Reader. You wrote something about self made WXP boot disk. Can you tell me more about this?

I also did my own (self-image) discs using the Norton Ghost software.

  • Satellite A210-17 itself turns off!

At my little laptop less than a year and he turns off itself. I can work away at the office or on the net and suddenly the screen is blank and the computer turns off - all the power buttons are not lit and when I press the button to try to turn it back on it goes to the recovery page of the system where I start windows in normal mode... Its happened 3 times today and its so frustrating. The battery is fully charged so I know this isn't the issue. Do you think that there is a hardware failure?

Maybe its overheating? Have you checked the inlet for dust? You can blow off the dust with compressed air in a CAN.

  • Satellite A200-1FL randomly turns off

    Hello

I have the problem that after I moved from the Spain to the Thailand now my Toshiba Satellite A200-1FL randomly turns off.
This only seems to happen when it is connected with AC - with battery I have it is not happened again although I can't rule out it.

After some time of work (sometimes only 10 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours) the laptop just shuts off-as if I would unplug the unit without the battery inserted. It is certainly not an overheating problem because the CPU is at 55º c most of the time (a year before the cpu fan was dirty and he has sometimes increased to 90º - but which caused no stops).

I don't know about electricity here in Thailand - but it seems 220V and they do not use the Earth (at least at the point where I am).
I use the original Toshiba AC adapter.

What could be the problem here - is there any solution or the solution to this problem?

    Thanks for any help,
    vitaminx

    Hey,.

As stone I n not know electricity of the Spain and Thailand, but if you have only this problem with the AC adapter / CC, there are a few differences between the Spain and the Thailand.

In your case, I will ask the local authorized maintainer in Thailand. For example just give them a call and ask a technician for help. I'm pretty sure, they can give you an answer if you need a new power supply or another outlet.

    Good luck! :)

  • On the start with progress bar page, after that it becomes a little more than half, the computer turns off.

MY MacBook Pro is frozen and I had to turn off get out of the frozen page and when I pressed the button to turn it on it makes the departure noise and then the progress bar lights. When it becomes a little to Midway, the screen goes black and the computer turns off.

The progress bar that starts from the left end appears when your startup disk is too damaged to mount. The illustrious progress is the functioning of the equivalent of disk utility (ERD). He is never more than half before taking a decision.

If your drive CAN be mounted, start-up continues normally.

If your drive cannot be mounted, your Mac stops, because there is nothing productive that it can do.

If your Mac is trying to start and crashes, which can produce always different results, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

I recommend that you start in recovery and run utility disk (ERD) until it comes clean or is hopelessly.

    What document you worked on?

Have you worked on all office applications?

  • My computer turns off during an update to windows xp and now windows xp will not load.

My computer turns off during an update to windows xp and now windows xp will not load.  It gives me the option of last known good configuration and safe mode startup and normal startup, but it just goes back to the loading screen then flashes a blue error screen then back to display boot options.  I don't have a recovery disc as the laptop does not have a CD-ROM drive or a floppy drive.  I have the product key, but I don't know where or how repair the operating system.

Contact the manufacturer of your laptop as there must be a way to restore the computer. There may be a hidden restore partition.

  • Why my internet accounts automatically get disconnected after that my computer turns off by itself?

I have a Compaq PC with processor Dual-Core AMD Athlon X 2 5000, and it runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium... In my view, that is running Service Pack 2. I use the computer to check my e-mail, my YouTube and Facebook accounts (and possibly other accounts spread I connect to).

I usually use Internet Explore to browse the web. Sometimes my computer turns off by itself due to overheating. But whenever when this happens, when I turn my computer back on and return to the use of the Internet, I've totally frustrated to find that all my accounts were automatically disconnected!

Even when I check these boxes to keep me connected to these accounts when I turn on the computer again after a successful stop, my accounts still get disconnected!

It only seems to happen when my computer turns off by itself without stopping... mainly due to overheating. When I turn on the computer again after a successful regular stop, my accounts are automatically saved on once again, due to activate me "Keep me connected" by checking these little boxes. But after a situation when the computer is off all the time (either by himself for a reason, either by me with strength to turn it off when my computer crashes), my accounts do not remain.

How can I prevent my accounts automatically be disconnected so that whenever I start the computer, after it turns off by itself, my internet accounts turned on? There must be a patch for this embarrassing situation here on the internet.

Perhaps because an improper shutdown / forced can inpact on different parameters.

Your must not PC in all cases be having heat problems, you need to fix this (heat) before it turns into something terminal
