Hi I want to use the recovery disks, but it neither parts... can you help me

Hello

Have you checked the disc for a few scratches?
If the recovery CD doesn't work so you can order a new one from the Toshiba partner in your country.
It s not very expensive.

    Hello

You want to replace the CPU?
    Do you think its faulty?
    How did you check that?

To be honest this A50 is truly oldie the CPU that was used is Intel Pentium M 725 (1.60 GHz, 2 MB Cache, 400 MHz FSB, L2)

I'm not sure that this chipset was built in but generally if you want to use the new CPU, ensuring that the chipset would support the new processor.
But even if the chipset would support the new processor, there is always a question regarding BIOS support it might be possible that BIOS wouldn't treat a new CPU.

  • Re: Can I use the other Satellite U400 series recovery disk

I have Toshiba Satellite U400 121. My recovery disk does not work may be due the scratches that I see in it. I took the laptop to the Toshiba Center service and I got a negative support of them. They said, they can't put the Windows Vista because the recovery disk is not there, and they have put Windows XP inside and handed to me.
later I got to know that Windows Xp is not Geninue one. :|

I can still see one of the Partition 'D:' with folder HDDRecovery inside.

So can I use Recovery Disk of all PC model Toshiba laptop other than the Toshiba Satellite U400 121 recovery disk.

In fact, I tried with the other model recovery disk, that at boot with this disk, Recovery Wizard starts up, but since I'm not sure about this one I stopped there and brought out.

Please one of you let me know if you have valuable contributions on this.

    suggestions are welcome!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I don't know Mr. which series Satellite U400-121, it is, but you must use the recovery disc designed specifically for this series of laptop!

Another recovery disc cannot be used because the drivers and tools that have been implemented in the image of Toshiba are not designed for this series of laptop!

By the way; You can order the CD from recovery from here:

  • How to configure the BIOS to boot USB on Satellite A50-110?

    Hello.
I own a Toshiba Satellite A50-110 and I have a USB bootable Flash drive, but I don't know how to boot from the USB key.
I guess I need to access and configure the BIOS. How can I do? Where can I get information on this subject? What are the steps to perform this task?

    TIA

    Hello

As far as I know in the BIOS cannot be configured anything. As much as I now on this old notebook you can use just USB floppy for boot drive (U key at startup), but not the USB flash drive.

Enter BIOS settings with the ESC key at first upward and check that all listed bootable devices.

  • The batteries are compatible to that in Satellite A50-110?

    Hi all

I have a 110 SA50 Satellita and realize I need urgently replace the battery, and of course, I want to upgrade, if I have to invest, of to maybe 6600 or even 8800mAh 4400mAh. However, when I browse the various shops online, I can't find any offer to my laptop SA50-110 model, which seems to be somewhat exotic for a reason unknown to me. Instead, I find a lot of offers for other models, as for SA50-100 or - 105.

If I search for the specification of the battery (PA3356U-2BRS), I have similar problems, find a suitable replacement.

Can someone help me out here? Can I buy battery for a 100, that will fit the 110 for example? The thumbnails I found look quite promising, but of course I can't count on that impression.

Can I find a list on which battery packs are compatible to PA3356U-2BRS somewhere out there?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can point me to a link appropriate.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

You have laptop not exotic, but the description of the model is not SA50 but Satellite A50. To find information about the compatible options is very easy and you can get it in just one minute.

Please visit http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > devices & Services > Accessories & Options > Options and accessories homepage. There you can choose your laptop model Satellite A50-110 and see all the power options with the complete list of all compatible batteries.

    Good luck!

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300 - recovery disk will reinstall Windows OS on the new HARD drive

Hard drive of my Satellite Pro A300 failed. It has now been replaced. I ordered a recovery disk.
This will allow me to reinstall Windows Vista OS that is installed initially?

Also, I get this message "BOOTMGR MISSING". The recovery disc will fix this problem too?
    Thanks in advance!

    > I ordered a recovery disk. This will allow me to reinstall Windows Vista OS that is installed initially?
    Yes. Without a doubt.

New HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS settings?
    If so avoid any problem.

Moreover, A300 works perfectly and much better with Win7 32 bit.

  • Satellite A30 - 203 - recovery disk does not work

    Hi all

I have an old Satellite A30-203 and have a problem. I tried to format my laptop but the product recovery cd does not seem to work in deletion the data on my disk, its becomes blocked during loading files of ntfs? Now I am not able to retrieve a windows session would I need a new product recovery cd and would be able to get it?

    Thank you

    Hi dimation,

It is difficult to say what is the reason of this but made is either it s a laptop problem itself or the recovery disc (e.g. scratches) causes this problem.

In my opinion the best way to check this using a Microsoft Windows disk. If the installation completed successfully, you need a new recovery disk. As a result, you can ask a service provider authorized in your country! :)

  • Satellite L505 - 10K - recovery disk contains only Windows 7 32-bit

    Hello, I have a question.

I bought a Satellite L505 - 10 k a month ago. It came with Windows 7 x 64, 3 partitions (I don't know why, 3? seriously?). I tried to install Linux, delete the last partition, called 'Data' and I screw them completely. I used the recovery DVDs to bring the phone to default settings and I discovered the system recover is Windows 7 x 32.

No idea why the systems are different?

It's just a minor issue, I guess, the only bad thing is that the x 32 system recognizes not the 4 GB of RAM. I use now only 3 GB of RAM.

    Hi Cabo_Nobbdy,

I think you should check your user manual and the specificaitions of your laptop first before starting a question. I founded the following information:
    + Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery) and Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - bit (Toshiba-Recovery DVD) +.

This means that the recovery for Windows 7 64-bit disk, you need to create by * you *!
The DVD that came with your laptop recovery contains only 32-bit Windows 7, and normally, you can create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc creator. I put t understand why you didn't do it because after the first start, you get this message:
    + Important INFORMATION +.

+ your system is equipped with a hard drive recovery system. If you need repair.
+ your computer in the restaurant to original factory State, you can do it directly.
+ HDD (press F8 when you start your computer, choose "Repair your computer" +)
+ and follow the instructions in the menu) or create a media drive bootable recovery to that end. +.

+ Toshiba recommends you create recovery disk medium uses the "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' to ensure the +.
+ Hat you are able to restore your computer to the State of origin, installed at the factory, even if your computer +.
    + Gets severely damaged.

But now it s too late for that and you have to order a new Toshiba recovery disc yourself:

  • Satellite A40-151 recovery disk problem

    Hello

    I hope someone can help.

I bascially bought this new laptop altogether earlier and until recently he works very well, but a few weeks ago the hard drive, I think that then, it happened to the extent where everything would load and then the pc would lock or it would freeze on the windows loading screen.

Now, I did a little research and from what I could gather my HDD disappeared.

I then bought a new hard drive for this the same exactually that I had same model, same brand etc and even same GB, which is 30 GB.

I placed in the new hard drive and went to install windows xp on the recovery disks, but now I get a problem it starts and tries to install the os, but about 15% in the disc stops spining and I get an error 437 that the file cannot be run or something like that.

I did something wrong? do I need to buy a whole new operating system? I hope someone can help

    Thank you for your time

If you have purchased this Satellite as new and quite while ago why you pay money for new hardware? If one of the pieces of equipment is defective warranty will cover the costs of replacement.

As far as I know that satellite A40 is old enough laptop model, and I guess that it takes more than two years. Anyway, if possible try to install the OS by CD Microsoft facilities to determine if the OS facilities can be completed. Maybe faulty recovery CD is (some scratches).

  • Satellite U500-1DV - recovery disk does not work

    Satellite U500-1DV
When windows starts up the first time, and while Toshiba request is things installation and system configuration, Windows crashes and restarts the system.
What can I do? It happens every time.

    Thank you

It may be the laptop computer hardware problem or recovery disk.
You can try to start the installation using another disk installation disc for example clean Microsoft Win 7.

If the installation would be functions, then your laptop s material should be ok and the problem is with the recovery disk

  • Satellite A100 - loop recovery disk

I have a laptop 19Y03Q Satellite A100 PSAA8A that I bought in Australia and I brought vack to Singapore.
Currently I'm trying to restore my computer laptop back to factory default, but the recovery disk displays a black screen and a cursor before restarting whenever I tried to recover.

My hard drive disk and restore works very well. And I have the original drive hard toshiba came with the computer. (I had cloned the original on a larger hard drive)
My drive was working 2 days ago and used it to wipe my laptop of unwanted files. But for some reason I had to restore again.
The recovery disk would not go to the screen to select the method of recovery and keep restarting. I tried reformatting and the old hard drive cloning today, but the disc does not always (even if the clone was able to boot and run as I had left it your old hard drive). I checked the hard drive for errors found nothing and also led an installation of windows 7, which has been a success.
I would not lose money by going to buy a new recovery disk and hard drive because both work well. I also do not alter the drive within two days.

Thks in advance and I would appreciate a response.

FOR INFO. I'm running the cloned from your old hard drive image

    Hey,.

    > My hard drive disk and recovery works very well
How can you be sure that the recovery disk works well?

To be honest, the story is a bit confusing, but I think that it s a problem with recovery disk if you have checked the HARD drive for errors and Windows 7 installation succeeded.

You should ask a certified maintainer for help, maybe they can swap the disk recovery but an alternative, you can use a Windows disc. All the drivers and tools that you can find on the page of Toshiba.

    Model Satellite P200-144 PSPBGE

    Hi all

Today I received a 2nd recovery disk mail via UPS directly at Arvato distribution GmbH

Yet once there not in the exact same place as the 1st disk that I received but returned and they replaced.

My original recovery disk was lost around the House 3 months back, which I am now myself kicking on.
Reason for restoring factory default settings was that I wanted my pc to be clean like a cell phone factory default as it was full of registry errors.

In any case on the problem, after that 67% of image recovery happens with the corrupted file, here is the installation proc.

My thoughs is that the image is corrupt.

The error that you declare, is a fault with the Vista disk image cannot be applied to the hard drive.

Which you used 2 recovery discs of different product, which would indicate that there is not support for product recovery but a defective hard drive, possibly bad sectors on the hard disk.

If the laptop is in it duration of warranty, then give Toshiba a call for the book on deposit for a repair of the equipment.
