  I recently bought a Satellite phone from second hand from a friend (a little more older Notebook - from 2004.) When started in a virtual environment and run anti virus applications (memory) and diagnostic (Everest and Memtest etc.) tools, everything seem to be functional and in good condition.   For this model of laptop, it is quite complicated because the STRANGE is from both sides.   I put t understand why this happened, but check the HARD drive in a laptop or in an external enclosure.

  Maybe the drive is defective and must be replaced.

  First of all the S60 satellite does not for me and I think you mean Satellite A60.

  Well, as you said the best way to fix this is a Toshiba Recovery disk because it contains a picture of the factory settings. This means that the operating system (Windows) with all drivers and Toshiba tools installed. Thus, you will save time compared to a disc of Microsoft.

  The recovery disc can t be downloaded, but you can ask an authorized service provider. Maybe they can order a new one for you.
