  This is my first thread so I apologize if I am doing something wrong and for my bad English. :)

  Just bought a Toshiba Satellite A660 - 1 hl with two adapters, integrated and a GeForce GT 330 M. The integrated works well, but when I go to the dedicated I encounter problems. The non-adjustable resolution in optimal mode and windows in the operating system (windows 7) delays when moving. I can't get info on the map in all kinds of temperature programs or dxdiag and such others.

  I tried to install the drivers from nvidia, Toshiba and windows update with no improvement. I can't run Windows expreince index because I get an error message or of any average games do I encounter error messages there as well. I begin to doubt that the drivers installed even.

  I hope you guys can help out me :)

  You should test the RAM (memory) for problems using the Test of memory of Microsoft or the www.memtest.org (bootable CD).

  To confirm that this is a hardware problem, you must save your documents and run recovery.

  If the problem still occur on a new image, then the laptop should go to an ASP (Toshiba Service Center) for repairs (possibly a motherboard replacement).

  You cannot start after installation of operating system HARD drive recovery clean facility more.
  You can do this via recovery DVD only.

  Did you create this disc by following the advice of Toshibas rappelling recovery or document s user manual?

  If you have this drive please use it for recovery image installation. If you n t have it you have a big problem today.

  I have a Satellite A660 and my battery won't load... it sticks to 0% and when I unplug the power cord, the computer shuts down. After many computers restart and do not finally understood what the problem was. The problem was my BIOS which is Version 1.20.

  When I try to install the BIOS, I always get these three mistakes:
  BIOS version plus 2.00
  Battery capacity over 20%
  AC is attached

  When you start your laptop without battery and put the battery in place when the OS is fully charged is recognized correctly battery? Start load or the problem persists?

  Hiya

  I was wondering if someone can help me.

  I had no end of problems with my laptop with one thing and another, and for these last months, I had a problem with my windows install. I can not install, download or update anything because it says that there is an error with the installation program. I tried various things to try and fix this, but think that the only thing for me to do now is to do a factory restore.

  The problem is its asking me a password that I don't have. Is there a way to get around this?

  If you use the Windows login password, use the same. If not, put your account without password name and click Next.

  Hi, I'm a poster first. My computer knowledge is empowered moderate, so please cut me some slack! I hope someone can help me, I would be very happy.

  I have a Dell Inspiron laptop computer and the operating system Windows Vista 32. I recently tried a factory restore. I wish that I would have looked at this site before I tried.

  I finished the factory restore, but I think that I made a mistake. I have saved all the files except my music files, because I didn't think anything was important. I'm stoopied. Now, when I try to use my computer is a few things wrong with it.

  1 there is no way to connect to or even to recognize a wireless network. I have one in my house who previously worked a lot with my computer.   OK, the factory restore (takes 10 minutes) is less work because everything is done and you do not have to load drivers or utilities. In any case, it is easy to do and you have all that on the drivers and utilities CD. There might be a few steps on the CD, but you can download Dell.   I had a problem of partition, that I am not well read this but I used to be able to do a factory restore. In fact, I did one around 2010 and after that Feuary not go. I can't create a set of factory retore because vista says I did.  It will not read the game I did when I first set up the computer. It seems good not it won't load no scratches. any help would be great microsoft will not respond with a direct answer they continue around and never come to the point of this question. I need a restore I am flying blind with this inability to restore is not cool at all. Thank you

  Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, you will need to contact your system manufacturer for instructions to correctly restore your computer to the factory settings.  This process is different from system to system manufacturer manufacturer and each has their own way of doing things.

  Here's my Situation:

  I have a Toshiba Satellite L505D-s5695 laptop, and I had to put a new hard drive in it, but not before I have copied files on an external drive recovery partition.

  So I have no recovery disks and no original hard drive.
  For this reason, now '0' in starting or F8 options to restore or enter recovery toshiba utility no longer exist.

  Is it possible to use Imagex or some other utility to restore the laptop to the original image with the files that were originally paritiion of recovery?

  I am currently playing with imagex controls and the. Files of stormwater management,

  After reading this, I must say that this will not work. You can't simply copy these recovery filed on another installation of HARD drive recovery and start. It will not work.
  Either you can start installation of recovery following procedure of Toshiba how to start HARD drive recovery facility or you must create recovery DVDs and use it for the installation of the OS.

  This recovery DVDs can be used on each HARD drive. With other words, you can replace the HARD drive with new and use the recovery image installation DVD.

  Following your logic, each can simply copy files and use it on some laptops. It will not work.

  My laptop does not boot to windows 7, after that an Ipod is plugged into the USB port. Message "If you have recently attached a device to this computer as a camera or a portable music player, remove and restart.   Startup Repair fails, have tried Safe Mode and go back to a previous restore point but get the message "you must login to access the system recovery. I however have no option to the Log In screen.
  I have not created the backup hard drive disks, still the machine is only a month.
  I tried a copy of Windows 7 and tried to access the system recovery, but still get the message that drive C is accesslble without logging.
  Anyone has any ideas thanks.

  Recently I replaced the HARD drive in my A500 1 2 with WD5000BPKT with Advanced Format. When I try to restore the system of system restore Toshiba dvd I created, restart the computer after the installation of recovery and error message gives:

  I have a satellite A660 a year already and I experienced a few freezes where the PC and I am unable to do anything, the sound still works for a few seconds and them it change to a scratching noise. The question as always been here, but given that it only happened once a month or less i thought it was a windows freeze or an overheating problem but for some time happened much several times, in four days happened to 8 times. Then I tried to update the drivers and nothing change until the BIOS drivers that I can't not to update because I get the following error (Firmware has no support of flash (AFUWINGUI)).
  I don't know if the update to the BIOS so that solve the problem or if a must send the PC to the guarantee.

  Have you added extra RAM for laptop? Maybe the RAM is not compatible or has a problem. You can test the RAM with Memtest (bootable CD)

  Windows can get damaged over time due to bad judgments etc... It may be a good idea to save your documents and run Toshiba Recovery to restore Windows back to its factory condition.

  If the RAM passes the test and the gel is always held on a Windows factory installation completely fresh, then it is probably a hardware problem.
