Satellite C-50-questions of TouchPad

Hello world.

Yesterday I bought a brand-new C50 of Satellite. Everything works fine, except the TouchPad allow me to scroll. Time scrolling with two fingers and a finger on the side do not work. I tried to update the drivers etc, but apparently they are up-to-date. I don't know what else to do. It's really annoying.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Have you checked all the settings and options of the touchpad?
Please do. try changing different parameters, including the option of scrolling and check the functionality of the touchpad.

I have a portable P-50 C and since I upgraded to Windows 10, I had problems with my mouse. If the needle touches accidentally any link, it locks automatically, without my volition. It's particularly irritating when I leave just apage unintentionally because the pointer was pointing in this direction. I don't know how to solve this problem. I'm not an expert in computers and want a simple cure for this.

I have the same laptop with the same problem - I knew not that it was linked to windows 10 but if it is, then it has not been resolved with the last anniversary windows update. Unfortunately the drivers for the touchpad seem to lack the possibility to reduce the sensitivity or disable the tap to click function.

  • Satellite X 200-219 - the touchpad does not work as it should

    Hi all

I recently bought a 2nd hand Toshiba Satellite x 200-219. Had some problems with it that I have overcome now, except one... The touchpad does not work as it should. I think that the cable has been damaged at some point.

So I'm wondering if I should use the same ribbon cable to connect the keyboard to the motherboard or can I get one of a different model of PC Toshiba laptop?

I tried searching on the net for advice but have resulted in nothing so thought I would try the forums.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee

I think you can use the items to the satellite X 205 series since this seems to be the same series as X 200:
Found some related parts the touchpad:
    Satellite X 205 / X 200 touchpad Board with cable: reference number: K000047950
    Satellite part number for the TOUCH PAD FFC X 205 / X 200: K000047980

But why you n t come into contact with a Toshiba authorized service provider in your country and order the part necessary and compatible?

  • Questions of Touchpad on Satellite A30

    Hi all

Recently, I sent my Satellite A30 for repairs because the touchpad is dead. Since I had 'fix', his erratic behavior. Sometimes, I lost all the horizontal movement, with only the operation of the vertical direction. Sometimes during a windows session, I lose the feature full touchpad (including the left/right button).

I also noticed that a fresh windows session allows me to use scrolling (side of the touchpad) and also rear ease in web browsers. However, after a few moments, windows stopss recognizing the scroll and the b/f gestures (even if the touchpad in my tray icon highlights the fact that I use).

I've updated my ALPS drivers to the latest version, but that didn't fix it.

I'm guessing that it's a software issue and not a hardware fault as a reboot solves these problems temporarily. I don't know if there is a hardware problem that confuses the software. I have no idea.

If anyone has any ideas or has experienced this before, please let me know as it's more boring.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

It's not easy to say why this touchpad problem.
Questions sometimes very strange occur due to overheating. I noticed that if the temperature goes down to the critical level of the operating system stops, the laptop crashes or many strange issues occurs as a malfunction of the touchpad. In your case, I recommend that you check the cooling modules and try to use the vacuum cleaner for cleaning. Maybe it helps.

The second possibility is that the touchpad has a malfunction. You know, it has been replaced in the past and it is possible that there is something wrong with the hardware.
You can contact Toshiba service partner and explain the situation after the replacement of touchpad.

    Good luck

  • Satellite 5200: Question on TouchPad scroll function

My Satellite 5200 Series has a scroll wheel PHYSICS to the title of the two touchpad buttons 'the mouse'. I found a useful feature heavily but cannot find all the current models that have preserved it.

    It was rejected?

Is there another way to scroll with newer machines?

I would rather not add an external mouse because it blocks a precious USB port AND I actually use my laptop outside on my KNEES.

    Hi Tatterdemalion,

Most modern laptops using a touch pad have a scrolling function software (which can be disabled if you wish) to control automatic scrolling. This is very useful for navigation text in Word documents or web pages etc., the technique (when enabled) is to set the top left or right of the touchpad to 'activate' and by touching this area temporarily, it will change the pointer of the foam to indicate the auto scroll option. Then only, drag the pointer slightly down and the screen starts to scroll until you tap the key again.

A manual scroll mechanism is also available and can be used simply by stroking the right side of the touchpad (down to scroll down and up to scroll to the top) and the bottom of the touchpad to scroll left and right.

I find these features useful, but I know other people who find them extremely irritating. It is useful to check.

    Kind regards

  • Questions of Touchpad on Satellite A100

    Hi all,

My name is Bill, and I bought a Satellite A100 6 months.

I am facing a strange problem with my touchpad. More precisely, the right button does not respond. Sometimes it automatically snaps and other time she made a left click unlike my settings that I put to right click.

Usually, I use a USB external mouse and I do my job all of a sudden the right button is clicked without clicking.

The most interesting is that I sent my laptop to my local service and they had replaced the touchpad with a new, but after a while (about 1 month) the problem reappears.

Can - what someone knows something about this? I gather that maybe the motherboard is responsible, but I'm not sure.

I want to note that I checked almost anything on software problems (I used the recovery CD, I installed new drivers for touchpad, I watched updated touchpad and so on)

    I think I'm very unlucky.

    Kind regards

    Bill

    Hello

a solution would be maybe to send your machine to your servicepartner once again and to quote the problem persists.
If they ask you, then tell you think so it may be something with the main card. Then they will check it properly.

    :)

You know, if you have already checked everything, this may be a hardware problem.

  • Questions of Touchpad on Satellite P10-304

    Hello

Recently, my touchpad started to malfunction. If I move my finger on it constantly when starting it works fine under windows, but inactivity for a second round causes freeze it. If I close and then restart apoint.exe, it works as long as there is a constant activity on the pavement.

First of all, I uninstalled the drivers, then installed the latest versions. This does not solve the problem. Then, rather excessively I formatted the hard drive, the reinstalled windows and drivers, it does not solve the problem.

I would say that it was clearly a hardware failure, but it works perfectly, as long as there is a constant activity, and when it does not freeze, restart apoint.exe sorts it until the next idle!

    Help, please

I think it would be only a malfunction of the equipment.
After the new installation of operating system and drivers of Tosh the touchpad should be activated without touching them.

  • Satellite A210-14s: Question about DDR2, ATI driver, Touchpad Dualmode speed

    Hello

I just the A210-14. All in all a laptop very well I can say so far :)

Got three questions/problems with it if:

    1. even if it should support the memory DDR2 - 667 Mhz, memory works only to a maximum of 600 Mhz, even when parameters are activated with High Performance and running with... quite strange food, necessary fix BIOS?

    2. the screen turns white everytime some time and a message appears that the ATI driver should reset itself. New ATI drivers necessary? As far I can tell the most recent is those who come with the book...

    3. in the activation of the Dualpad, it will not turn off. By pushing the button, it stays in Dualmode :(

Suggestions, confirmation or info, ongoing work would be much appreciated.

I am trying to answer your questions, maybe my knowledge how can help you...

    1. How do you measure it? Perhaps with memtest or with cpu - z? Would be interesting because these tools do not support very well mobile chipsets. The other thing is that any level of performance, you, the frontsidebus is likely dynamically, but I'm not an engineer intel, so I can't give you a 100% response.

2 hm, would be nice to put some new drivers on your platform. I suggest you try this site works fine for me:

  • Satellite on L9W Mini - B - questions on: touchpad and battery

Having bought just a ClickMini to replace my trusty booklet 100 there are a number of things that I hope that other users or experts of the forum can help me with.

    (1) does anyone know how to DISABLE (OFF) tapping to click on the ALPS "mousepad". Having served in a "nipple" and appropriate, click bars this 'feature' doesn't quite work for me, giving of false activations more often than I like. Note I looked at the properties of the filling in the Panel, and it is from this that the plate is not active (which is) or that it cannot be changed. Also note that the ALPS driver is updated after downloading from the Toshibs site without effect on my problem.

    (2) how to view the status of the battery 2 in the section of the Tablet and that in the keyboard dock? Several folk being, or seems, in the discussions below but I can't find any way to do it. Your help and advice will be assessed.

Finally, although new on this forum and with a new machine, I am far from being a novice in PC computer having bees using compurters in various forms since before the IBM PC was invented. If I am far from inexperienced and unable to read between the lines of an instruction manual, in fact I wrote a lot myself!

Go to the Windows classic desktop (not the tile-GUI modern), look for the battery indicator in the taskbar at the bottom right, double click it to expand, and it shows the status of the two batteries.

  • Satellite A100 - buttons on the touchpad enabled without clicking

I have a laptop pretty old (Satellite A100).
My touchpad is upward - the left keeps activating button that no one touch.
Is there something specific I should do to fix this?

I tried updating the driver and restarting the computer several times - no luck so far. My knowledge is pretty basic, so I would appreciate the simple answers in layman's terms... Thank you very much!!

  • Satellite Pro A100/P100 - compatibility touchpad

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 and I saw pictures and videos on the internet of people have these keyboards LCD that illuminate blue and have shortcuts but only touchpads I can find like that correspond to the P100 and ino models some of the parties each other as I was ve documented but I can t can't find if the touchpads do or not but I think that s what other people I saw someone do any ideas?

    Thank you to

    Hello

The two models of laptops are old enough, is not easy to find some useful information on this subject. I remember that some P100/A100 and A200/P200 / X 200 models were offered with these keyboards.

I m not a technician but I think these keyboards with keys have two cables must be connected to the motherboard and keys touchpad without buttons have a flat cable only.
(I also believe that models with and without this touchpad have different numbers) model numbers) so it is possible that they have different mothers.

What you need is a professional help with this. I mean, if possible, try to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and ask for help. They have access to the database of Toshiba and can check the specification for your laptop model but also data base for all hardware components of portable.

They may be able to help you with this.

  • Satellite Pro S750: No gesture touchpad

The S750 Pro Satellite is specified as having a control of the gesture touchpad. Toshiba has replaced my Satellite A660 with a S750 Satellite Pro, and I thought it was a don't drive test... no gesture control. I visited the driver page, and there is no driver for the synaptics touchpad. Instead, a pointer ALPS driver device is displayed. I tried to download it, but he warned during the installation I was replacing a driver for that which is identical.

Is the description of the control touchpad gesture simply a mistake? I am the only one without it?

    Hello

    You might be right.
I visited this page http://support.toshiba.ca/support/isg/center/en/index.asp, but found no information in the user manual that gesture control would be available otherwise that there is no synaptics driver to download.

But you can visit the Synaptics page to download the latest driver:
    http://www.Synaptics.com/resources/drivers

Thanks for posting comments after installing this driver

I have the Satellite R850 2R laptop with win7 on it.

Try to check if Windows update has installed something today and roll back the OS to an earlier time (if possible to return in two days) using System Restore tool.

I put t know if this will help but you can try it. Several times I saw this update of the synaptics driver is offered by the windows updates option.

  • Satellite Pro S300-ez2502 - sometimes touchpad stops resonding

    Hello

I use Toshiba Satellite Pro S300-ez2502 with Windows Vista Business.
Sometimes my touchpad doesn't work for a couple of seconds at least 1 time a day.
It becomes a bit annoying, because the mouse pointer move by moving the finger on the touchpad.
Can someone please suggest a solution? Hoping to hear from you soon.

    Thank you
    Adil

    Hello Adil

Apply for solution is simply but it will be interesting to know when that will happen. Usually, if the mouse is frozen it can be because of a background activity or HARD drive busy.
Have you noticed the HDD activity (HARD drive flashes) when this happen?

I mean when you wrote sometimes that's not easy to say why this happens and what you can do about it.
