  I have a Toshiba Satellite C50D - B - 11 portable X. He was about 6 months, and had nothing but problems from day one. Really wish id increased for the next. But stuck with it now.

  I have internet wifi which is very fast and reliable in my area. However as the months have passed, the laptop has gone in and out of the internet reception and is gradually degraded.

  All of a sudden does not connect to internet, sometimes for a few minutes, but which a strung out to several hours sometimes now. I went on the site of toshiba and updated all my drivers etc.

  And I was using aid cable directly from the internet area of sky to the portable computer, which worked a treat for a few weeks but now is doing the same thing. Internet works for a little while, then refuses to do anything. Said that there is no internet connection at all times. But there isn't...

  There is absolutely no problem with the internet, im typing this on my work laptop partners that is connected via wifi and NEVER has problems with internet, works perfect contiouusly and still works 100% even if my lapop Toshiba immediately next to it has a fit of anger.

  What can I do?

  Can you confirm that the problem of internet connection is displayed using LAN and WLan connection?

  Have you tried to connect this laptop to another WiFi in your area? IE test connectivity in relationship with the neighbour s WLan.

  In case you have the same problem with LAN and WLan, I think only one kind of software (some of the antivirus or security settings) which is always preinstall on this laptop could cause the problem.

  In my opinion, you should recover the laptop back to factory settings and should test the functionality of the laptop once more without any 3rd software installation part.

  Check the internet connection by using different browsers like IE, Firefox and Chrome.

  I'm not too IT literate so need to pick up some brains!

  My partner has just bought a new laptop, Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-138.
  Everything worked very well, the kids have been on it more than him!

  A day has started up as usual, tried to access internet through Explorer with no luck.
  Wireless is on, the connection is our broadband.

  I guess you are trying to connect to the internet using the WiFi connection.
  What happens if you connect the laptop to the router using the LAN cable?

  Do you have problems using other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox?
  Please check this box.

  Just above for laptop and really disappointed that it is so slow. I did not put new software on it but just loading internet is a real drag. I need only to basic internet surfing and create word documents so do not have a high performance computer, but it takes all 30 sec - 1 min to load a Web page. Is this normal?

  A lot of people on this forum topic reports similar. You must understand that for laptop with factory settings is not optimized, and each of us must make own configuration of operating system.
  For example, new notebook will do the automatic updates of Windows. With other words when Windows detects new updates it will download and installed in the background and that you know something like this running in the background. This will slow down the activity internet and laptop performance quickly.

  I recommend to install all Windows updates and change the settings in Control Panel > windows update > change settings. Use the option check the updates but let me choose... in the future you will be informed of the updates, but you can install them when you don't need machine for your work.

  As you have probably not known different laptops of different batteries.
  There are 3 cell, 6-cell, 9 cells or even 12 batteries which lasts much longer and provide more power.

  I found on the Toshiba page specs of the Satellite C50D-A00L and it looks like its battery 3 cells.
  I guess that the L850 was equipped with a stronger battery.

  Trying to upgrade my Satellite L300 - 29V Vista Home Premium to the Toshiba provided Win 7 Home premium with the help of the upgrade DVD Toshiba. I tried this many times now with no success. On each attempt, I get the message "* logon process initialization failed - the Interactive logon process initialization has failed. For more details, please see the event log. "*.

  At this point, the mouse is active, but none of the keyboard keys control apart from the pointer appears only on the area of the event, enter and esc.   I have a Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-133 with 8.1 in Windows that cannot start and ends on the preparation of the auto repair and fails and restarts. I tried to restore using the 0 key, but don't go to the boot partition.

  (1) If you want to install the system using external media (floppy or USB flash ill) you will need to change some settings in the BIOS. The secure boot option should be disabled.

  (2) in addition if you want to install Win 7 it must switch the CSM mode UEFI boot mode.

  With regard to the problem of system startup:
  I think that the system is confusing to the top where the automatic repair option does not solve the problem, and that would mean that the operating system must be installed from scratch.

  I just bought a C50D Satellite with preinstalled Win8 but my application software is not compatible with Win 8 and it may be 12 months before a new version is coming. I want to downgrade to Win7 (32 bit) but are struggling to find the necessary drivers.

  Satellite C50D-A00L has been published in Australia, that's why pilots should be available on the Toshiba driver page in THE:
  http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/download

  But I guess that the drivers are still not available because this series is very recent market.
  In this case, you will need to search the drivers of your own hands.

  Many built in features have already been used in other series, so you can try to use the drivers Win 7 of the other models by Satellite.

• Satellite C50D-B-120 seems to be slow

  Has anyone else had problems with this laptop model?

  Mine seems slow but on further review that this is indeed the parties stop and start intermittently and not all at once.

  The keyboard and touchpad are more obvious because the cursor seems to stutter on and often typed letters do not appear on the screen for a few seconds.

  It is the common procedure in case the laptop doesn't wake up no more.

• Satellite L300 - power fail

  I have two Satellite L300 (2 different models), but I had several failures of the supplies provided.

  The first computer laptop power supply has failed in the first week, the replacement, the supplier sent me (Ebuyer) did not work at all. After several weeks of disputes with Ebuyer I gave up and bought a replacement on Ebay. One failed after a week, but the replacement of one still works fine (after several months).

  First, the second power supply for laptop does not have after 8 months or more. It was very easy to get a replacement that I bought this laptop from Currys and thetechguys support was very good. However this replacement power supply for failed just before Christmas, only a few weeks after the warranty of 1 year has ended.

  I was extremely unlucky, or there is an inherent problem with feeds and L300 laptop computers.

  Any ideas of what I should buy to try to avoid more power power failures?

  Interesting what s announcement mate but I can't agree with you. I m using the Satellite L300 too but for 1 year. I use it every day to check e-mail, Internet, etc.. I never had a problem with the laptop power or power. Everything works correctly and nothing has been changed because they.

  I think in your case you didn't have the chance. Normally after so little time you can get a replacement free of charge of an authorized service because it s under warranty. From Toshiba Web site displays a list of authorized service providers and the guys are friendly and always try to help you.
