  Just got a new laptop Satellite C660-PSC1LA-00J001, which initially had 2 GB of ram in the shop, but has been improved with another 2 GB to 4 GB (upgraded in-store).   The battery time depends on usage and what you do. For example if you run a large number of programs and work with a high CPU utilization low autonomy and requires AC adapter / CC soon. Also surf the Internet needs battery power.

  Not sure if I can help you but I would like to give you some advice.

  (1) check if your BIOS is up to date. If Toshiba driver European page provides a newer version, then update the BIOS. In addition, set the default BIOS by pressing F9 and save modified pressing F10.
  (2) try to calibrate the battery. To calibrate the battery you completely discharge the battery and charge it again. Repeat 2-3 times in the line.
  (3) remove the battery and the AC adapter and press the power button / stop (30 sec long) and then connect the two parts and check if the LED begin to blink.

  Finally, I think that the laptop needs to be tested using new, good battery to work. But if the issue still persists, then I guess that your motherboard might be affected.
