Satellite C660 - 2 4 - LAN and WLAN driver issues
Hello. My name is Alice.
I have a Toshiba Satellite C660 - 2 4 laptop and I use Windows 7-32 bit.
I have a small problem when you install the LAN and Wireless drivers. I chose the correct drivers, but after their installation, nothing happens. It stills shows an exclamation sign on the network controller and the PCI of Simple Communications controller (which I believe it is the wireless network).
Please advice. Should I install a different Windows?
Best,
AJ

Satellite C660 - compatibility between motherboard and hard drive internal
Hi, I have a problem with the compatibility between the internal (1 terabyte) hard drive and installing windows 7 pro.
I broke my old internal hard drive (320 GB) and I bought the new hd (1 tb), but during the installation it says that w7 cannot be installed on this new hard drive. Can my pc motherboard (serial number: 3B071014k) support the new hard drive (serial number: wd10jpvx)?
and if the answer is 'yes', how can I make it work?First of all the question has nothing to do with the motherboard and HARD drive compatibility.
If the HARD drive is visible in the BIOS (first page), the HARD drive is supported by the BIOS and HARD disk controller.
In the case where the drive HARD isn't recognized, you will need to replace this HARD drive with another. I guess the smaller size of the 2.5 SATA HDD THAT would be taken in charge (500 GB)However, in case the HARD disk is visible in the BIOS, you should be able to install Windows 7.
Before starting the installation, you must format the HARD drive and should create the system partition.
For this procedure, I recommend to use some tools such as partitions for example: GParted
GParted is a freeware Linux tool.
You can create a bootable USB key in order to start the device using GParted:
http://gparted.sourceforge.NET/LiveCD.phpThen, you should be able to format the HARD disk and create partitions.

PS, its windows xp professional
Hello
Ethernet controllers are card LAN and WLan card.
If you install the Wlan card driver and the car LAN driver. The European driver Toshiba page provides all the drivers and they work for you.
Check again the European driver of Toshiba page. Choose your model of laptop, choose the XP and download the LAN and WLan driver!
The drivers can be installed also in Device Manager.

Hello!
First of all, you should tell us what Satellite a notebook you exaclty and what OS are you using.
Also can you please explain what you mean with your LAN and WLAN didn't work? You have yellow exclamation points in Device Manager or can connect to the router?
I always download latest drivers on the Toshiba site. Did you do that too?

Satellite C55T: Win 7 does not recognize the card, LAN and WLan
I have a problem.
I ve downgraded my Toshiba Satellite A5222 C55T for Windows 7 64 bit and it does not have many pilots.
Windows does not recognize my network connection and it didn't install my wireless driver.Maybe I need a chipset driver, but I found no drivers for windows 7.
Please help me!
If Windows 7 has not recognized the LAN and WLan card, you have not installed the proper drivers.
A5222 C55T satellite is the portable American model.
The drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba help page we: [Satellite C55T-A5222 | http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200005866]Choose here the drivers / updates & filter by Windows 7 64 bit (left)
Now you should get all Win 7 64 bit drivers for Satellite C55T-A5222 -
Satellite L300 - 145 (PSLB0E) - missing graphics, LAN and WLan card
Hello
I have recently reinstalled windows Vista Home Premium but now I have a few missing drivers.
The graphics card and Lan and WLan are missing.
I download and installed the Lan and the controllers of the graphics card but I can not find the right WLan.The problem is that the USB WiFi card is not reconnized and shows as "unknown device".
I looked in the property inspector and I found this product shows 2 id values: USB\VID_0BdA%PID_8197&REV_0200 and USB\VID_0BA & PID_8197 and at Port #0006Hub_ #0007 also, under the name of fisical object I find it \Device\USBPDO-9.I am not sure that this is the Wlan card, but since is the only thing that works properly, I think it is all. I tried intel antheros and drivers realtek, allways relocation previous no conflict would happen, but still nothing happens and windows still doesen't reconnize itm so
If please, what is the name of the card and where can I find the RIGHT controller for her?
Hello
First of all really get you all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversThe drivers are pre-tested so I can't imagine that none of them work.
On this site http://www.pcidatabase.com I tried this vendor ID but I can t find anything. Only with the device ID 8197, it shows a Realtek WLAN card so I guess you have to use this driver.
Please check again! Make sure you have installed the SP2 at least and before you install the WLAN driver again, delete all other versions and clean the system using CCleaner.

Re: Satellite PRO 4600 and WLAN driver
My old Satellite Pro 4600 connects with networks wireless unsecured very well but has a problem with WEP - Gets an error message immediately to connect command, never reaches the authentication dialog.
I would try to update the drivers of wifi card, but where can I find them? This site does not recognize not my serial number.
Can someone please?
Thank you.
-Kari-
This along with the serial number reorganization probably works with new laptops only.
Go directly to the download section Toshiba > http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and under archive try to find your model of laptop and WLAN driver. -
Satellite P205D-S7802 - LAN and WLan has stopped working
Hey all,.
My problem is that all of a sudden all my network interfaces have stopped working. I don't think that my operating system is the problem because I run linux as well as windows and it does not work in any of the 2. Both my local network and my wireless lan doesn't work, please help.
It's really rare that two devices; LAN and WLan stopped working and in Linux or Windows, you can use these cards.
In my opinion, your laptop is OK, but I think that your router to malfunction.
It would be the most simple and plausible explanation.
Did you check the configuration of the router?

Equium A210 - 17I PSAFJE - Lan and Wlan don't work running Windows XP
Hello
I recently received this A210-17I (PSAFJE) for Christmas, but to my dismay, it was not compatible with most of my computer games, I decided to downgrade to Windows XP, after reading about how I could do this, I decided to do it myself.
So far everything works great, with the exception of 2 factors.
The controller Ethernet and RTL8187B_WLAN_Adaptor, which appear as unknown devices in Device Manager.I installed ALL the drivers for download from Toshiba for this specific model page and I have operational including graphics and sound rest.
The WLAN adapter is strange for me, I downloaded this driver: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=1&PFid=1&Level=6& Conn = 5 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & downloads = true (the bottom one for Windows) and it seemed to install OK with the provided setup.exe. But the device is still unknown, and it will not install if the folder "Update Driver".
I have no idea what to do about the Ethernet controller :(
Thanks for reading.
* EDIT: Fixed; D *.
Looks like you have already decided to install a compatible driver of LAN and WLan.
Am I wrong? It of good to know that the problem is solved

Satellite C660 - how to activate and use WAKE ON LAN?
Hi all
Previously, I posted asking about the use of Wake on Wireless LAN and was very helpfully informed that it was impossible, so I started to explore the Wake ON LAN option.
I have a Toshiba C660 PSC0LE-00500JEN and helped Wake ON LAN in the BIOS and have connected a LAN cable between my router and the laptop, which recognize each other, if the cable looks ok.
However, if I use an app to WAKE ON LAN on my android, or I use a site online "wake on lan via browser ', the laptop stay asleep.
Can someone advise?
Thank you
James
Hello
Wake Up on Lan option would work if send you a magic packet to the remote machine (laptop).
I have no experience using the Android app, who knows if it works properly
Try the other method. For example, using software such as wake on Lan for Windows (GUI) graphical user Interface
Google for it to download this software.
In addition, go to the device-> LAN card Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab and check here if the WOL is activated too

Satellite L300-245 - LAN and WLAN does not work
I bought a laptop L300-254.
I installed the LAN and the LAN driveres wireless, but none of them works. What is the problem?
> I installed the LAN and the wireless LAN drivers, but none of them works.
What does that mean? Are card WLan and LAN card not recognized in Device Manager? Are there near yellow exclamation points mentioned cards?
Or maybe the WLan and LAN card are recognized correctly, but you cannot connect to the internet through WLan or LAN?
In this case, you should check the router settings and configuration!
For me, it looks like the issue of the router if the two connections (Wlan & Lan) n t work! -
Satellite C660-1J2 - about speed of Wlan
Hello
I have a Satellite C660 1J2
Win7 Pro 64 bit 8Meg Ram
Driver Realtek rtl8188ce 19 wifi / 420/1005-2011-20/04/2011My setup is a router linksys wrt54gs + wre54g amplifier and the toshiba uses wifi, through the amplifier when I start the tosh every day, the connection is always big 5 bars, but speed is always moving between 18 to 36.
The amplifier is 3 feet distance and in line of sight. If I push the disconnect and re connect speed to 54 and rest until I have shut the tosh at night.
I got a sony vaio before and not issue however the wifi card was only the b - g card.
Is it a no number or you think has something to do with the ariel is a reason for updating the driver in the latest version on the website of Realtek 28/1005-1006-2011?
If you think an update is guaranteed can you confirm it is correct for my tosh and it says auto install, what I have to do something to install or
can you suggest anything else.
It seems as if the tosh cannot see the amplifier and when I do a disconnection and reconnection, he can see the amplifier.
Thanks for any help
Tony Miller
> Is it a no number or you think has something to do with the ariel is a reason for updating the driver in the latest version on the website of Realtek 28/1005-1006-2011?
I recommend you update the WLan driver if new version is available.
It is possible that the compatibility between different routers and modems would improve with new versionHowever, I also recommend to check the power of Win 7 options and disable WLan Card to save energy.
This power save can save the battery, but affect the WLan functionality. -
Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless n and the F8 function key does not show
Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless works sometimes, but mostly not. Wired connection is ok. When does not not Fn 8 does not appear and the wireless card does not appear in the devices.
Pilot was handed in place.Have tried reset default and many other things - yesterday was working - light today and not...
Help!
Hello
If the wireless network adapter does not work or its lack in the device, the FN + F8 key combination Manager would not work.
So the problem is your wireless network card. The WLan card driver is missing or malfunctioning of the WiFi chip.
The device uses the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
Have you installed the chip RTL8188CE WLan driver?
Make sure what you've done!Otherwise, if the WLan card is not listed in the Manager (no unknown device or Ethernet controller) devices marked with yellow exclamation point I guess that the module is faulty.
