Satellite C660D recharge after recovery

Hi, just bought my laptop a above, dtr in September 2012 (if not too happy!) and a month or two ago there was a problem of "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL", so advice had to reinstall Windows and all drivers.

I tried a few re - installs but ultimately just did a full restore (F8-Advanced boot-Repair your computer), and although I can login in safe mode, I can't log in normal mode. He crossed the first Setup screen of Toshiba ok (loading the drivers etc. 35/35) but then when it says finish installation it will just hours and hours. I tried to go back to the advanced boot screen (F8) and maybe make a re - repair windows, but now the guest 'Repair your computer' does not appear on the screen.

I was told that I probably need the recovery discs (she forgot to make!) but not happy about having to pay 35.90eurs in the age of the machine head and the duration of use it had! Needless to say that there is no product more Toshiba in this household for a while...

Any info of an irritable limited knowledge would be much appreciated...

I agree with Timox, most laptop manufacturers don t provide recovery disks, but you always have the option to create this disk using the preisnstalled software.
On Toshiba laptops, you can find the software called Recovery Media Creator.

However, I would like to say a few words about the error message:
+ 'DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL ' +.

In many cases, that this error may appear because of driver compatible problems but also a hardware problem might be the reason why this error message. I guess this error message in relation to Blue Screen Of Death.

On devices such as the video card, sound card, network card, USB key, etc can be the troublemaker. In such cases, it of necessary to perform a clean boot material to isolate the device that is causing the problem.

You would need to disconnect any external devices and to start the system in safe mode.
In Device Manager, you must disable all the mentioned devices.
Then you could start Notepad in Normal Mode and could try to allow the unit a check which device is causing the problem.

  • Wireless on Satellite C660d-14W after clean instalation of Win 7

    Hello

I bought a toshiba satellite c660d-14w off the coast of a friend and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7 x 64.
After installation, the laptop does not recognize any material (graphics, wireless network card, sound) so I slowly tried to install all the drivers for all.

However, no matter what I install for the wireless, it just doesn't seem to work.
Installed the driver from realtek RTL8188CE, driver lan wireless on Toshiba website and have set the network connections service car and restarted it and still nothing.

In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, I have two entries:

    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
    &
    Realtek RTL8188CE WLAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Suffice to say that they are working properly and have the latest drivers but I have no wireless access, does not display the icon in the status bar, and I just get a generic windows error message when you try to configure it manually.

    Help, please!

Yes, the wireless network card seems to be properly recognized in Device Manager.
The Satellite C660C-14W supports the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan chip.

You said you do not have access to the WLan
    Did you check the availability
Control Panel-> network sharing Center-> the settings of map (left)

Here, you should see the wireless network card
    Is - this visible?

If Yes, go to properties and uninstall the TCP/IPv6 protocol and use only TCP/IPv4

  • Satellite C660D freezes after startup

    Hi all
I've had my C660D for a couple of years now without any major problems arise. However, a few days ago I turned on all normal loading (the office completely), but the fan became very strong and the laptop froze and was insensitive.

He continues to repeat this problem, it is usable for the best part of 2 minutes and then freezes again. I have managed to do the system restore and even taken apart to clear the fan on, but the problem still persists. I tried safe mode, but still get the same problem.

    Help, please!
    Thank you

Hmm recommends to test the laptop as part of new memory modules.
It might be possible that the gel is related to the problem of memory.

Also a high temperature may cause issues such as
If you didn t clean cooling in the past fans, do so using the jet of compressed air.

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop, Satellite C660D-1CU.
When I initially and then all the programs and Toshiba, and Toshiba recovery media creator this message is on display:

It is impossible to create the recovery media.
Can't find file recovery HARD drive on the second disc of the first hard drive. This computer has no valid environmental restoration of the hard drive.

Can someone help me because I really need my pc back to factory settings because I have too many bugs.

    Concerning
    Nicolas

Message was edited: assignment has been translated

This problem occurs if the Toshiba Recovery creator tool cannot find the recovery image on the HARD drive. There are several reasons for this. Recovery image can be removed, deleted or structure of disk partitions HARD maybe changed. Just with the original settings and their State of origin HDD it will work.

Unfortunately now you will be able to create a recovery media or the installation of HARD drive recovery.
What you can do is a new and original for your model of laptop recovery DVDs and it is possible on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    Hello John

Recovery installation is very simple and you can do it whenever you want. Important is that your laptop to factory settings. Simply follow the link posted by Feliks.

If you've changed something else or clean installation of the OS, it will not work and for the installation of recovery you must use the original Toshiba Recovery DVD drive.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Partition lost after recovery - Satellite L30

I had two partitions on my HD (Satellite L30-114).

I used the Toshiba recovery Cd to restore windows back to my laptop. The CD has not offered me a full mode or an Expert as written here http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ350072001GR01.htm he has just recovered without any input on my side!

After recovery, Windows does not see my second partition. I used the disk management utility, and it is said there are 17 GB of disk unassigned space (this is my second Partition!).

Can and how can I restore it?

    TX a lot!

    Hello

It seems that the L30 comes with a new version of the recovery cd.
I think that the recovery procedure is a bit different than the old with 2 different recovery modes (standard and expert)

I know a little new recovery procedure because a friend of mine bought a new Satellite with this recovery CD. He asked me for the installation of the laptop and we checked.

It seems that you must press the setting button after the language selection.
If you n t use the button setting for the configuration if the recovery procedure will be remove and erase everything on the HARD drive. I think you didn't configure the settings and therefore all the partitions have been deleted.

Unfortunately I think that there is not much to do. You the partition has been deleted and it of not possible to bring back the lost data.

How can - I'm restoring my wi - fi connection?

  • Satellite C660D (PSC1YE) black screen after BIOS update

I tried to update my Bios on my Satellite C660D portable (psc1YE) last week (big mistake).

Something went wrong during the update and now when I power on I just get a black screen (LEDS and fan).

After reviewing, the conclusion is that I damaged the BIOS that must now be blind flashed.
So I got the hand on a 512MB memory stick, formatted using FAT through windows XP and used Wincris to create a startup disk after you have added the file bios.rom (renamed Bios.wph) which I extracted the last update of the BIOS on the Toshiba site.

My memory stick has three visible files on it, Phlash16.exe, bios.wph and minidos.
I plug laptop with battery, DVD player and power disconnected to stick, and hold Fn + B re-connection cable cable, turn it on.

The fan whirs at full speed, and the USB lights up and flashes then for a minute, as if being read. No matter how long I let on, the fan will continue whirring and the USB is on and when I unplug and put in still works a black screen.

I tried different sticks, (up to 4 GB with FAT32 format), programs of different startup (for example, the HP utility) drive but still no luck.

Can someone tell me what I do wrong? I tried to look for a newer version of Phlash16 just in case that was the problem, but can not find one any where (mine is version 2008)

All advice would be greatly appreciated even if it's just to tell me that I'm wasting my time because the pc is not repairable.

I can't tell you if you waste your time or not because I n know if the motherboard ROM module is OK or not

In most cases, it should be possible to reflash the ROM module using the BIOS crisis disk but this disc is available to authorized Toshiba service technicians and as much as I know reflash this methods is not always the same

However, in some cases it might be possible that the mobo could not be fixed by disk crisis, it would be the worst case

I recommend you to contact a certified maintainer Toshiba to check guys would be able to use the crisis disk and could test whether its possible to reflash the module ROM
Is it not would be not possible well in this case you would need new motherboard :(
But lets hope do ' t you need...
