    Hello

Have you tried to update the CD/DVD drive?
You could go to the Device Manager and could remove the reader of CD/DVD from the list of devices.
Then, you must restart the laptop.
After restarting again the Windows operating system will recognize the new device as the CD/DVD drive and will initialize and reinstall the driver.

Then try using the new CD/DVD drive

Sorry, you can not. A CRC error means that there is a serious problem with your drive. You need to replace it.

  • MP3 player via the USB port (no matter which), it keeps coming back as the "Drive is not accessible. Access is denied. "

    Hello

So, here are the problems I encounter, and what I did to try to fix myself.
Whenever I try to connect my MP3 player via the USB port (no matter which), it keeps coming back as the "Drive is not accessible. Access is denied. "  This same thing happens everytime I try to put an SD card in the SD card slot.  However, despite this, I can plug my USB mouse and use it, as well as the keyboard and it records only.  I can also use the HDMI port to use my TV as a second monitor and, also, to record that.
What I did to solve the problem, it is to restore the system to the previous times before that happened, did not.  I also went into the Device Manager and uninstalled and re installed, USB and SD card drivers.  I also tried something in the sense of taking control of the files via a right click on a folder and go to properties and then security and to the 'advanced settings', the problem with this situation is that I can't in readers at all.
I am currently running Windows 7 (64 bit) on a laptop Lenovo, the computer itself is actually only a few months.  If someone knows something about this, please let me know.  Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    1. What is the number of brands and models of MP3 player?

2 are logged in as an administrator on the computer?

    3. are you able to use this device on another computer (not Windows XP)? The MP3 player or SD card already worked on this computer?

    4. Once you get this error message? Do you get this error when accessing the mp3 player and SD card on Windows Explorer?

Run an antivirus with Microsoft Safety scanner scan and make sure your computer is virus-free.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    Hello

No one knows what may be the cause of this problem - when I put a disc into my laptop to install the new sotware - I see the following error message:

    "D:\ is not accessible."

The request could not be performed because of an i/o error. "

    Thank you

    Kristian

I can provide a possible solution that has worked for many others:

Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Then start the registry (regedit) and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After that, restart your machine and windows will install the drive again. Check if it worked for you.

    Hello

This behavior is noticed by many users on various forums, and it is obviously not new. If I understand you right reading CD and DVD is not the problem.

    Hello

If you're still guaranteed then it would be necessary in your case bring/send your machine to a local toshiba for a hardwarecheckup servicepartner. But even if Don t you out of warranty you should do it because your questions sounds like a hardware failure.

If you need help finding a service partner so I can give you a link where you can find one that is closest:

I'm not 100% sure but I assume that you have problems with ODD (optical disc drive)? Am I right about that?

  • Drive external drive is not accessible, access denied.

My computer (Win7 Home Prem) ran chkdsk after an update of windows, probably triggered by ccleaner or glary utilities. My external hard drive was plugged during the update, reboot and chkdsk. The chkdsk command probably checked my coz external HD, I can see folders/paths that were there. The next day I couldn't access my HD due to a mistake, saying: it was not accessible and access is denied. I searched online potential solution and tried the following without success, and they have been applied using an admin account and an admin cmd.

    * Change the permissions and ownership, but the property always says it's impossible to determine the owner.

    * Changed the share permissions.

    * Do you have 'takeown' and a 'icalcs' has changed owner but same error.

    * Check the disk management, drive seemed ok with the letter drive and all.

    * Ran chkdsk /F on both of my C: drive and external hard drive, both completed successfully without error during the analysis and not found bad sectors.

    * Program of Unlocker used to check if player was running another process, found nothing.

In my computer, it shows the letter drive and NTFS, but not bar showing free space. Properties would show 0 free space / used. Here I can go to cmd and access the content from there. I used the function of 'Explore disk' of glary Utilities and I could see the content and even run mp4/avi files in the player. So I guess the drive and its contents is ok, just that I can't access it through normal means.

    Thanks in advance!

    Rob

    Hi LeBlanc,

I apologize for the late response and can certainly understand your concern. I appreciate your efforts. As you mentioned that you are not able to access the external drive, and you receive the error of access denied when you connect to your user account, I suggest to try to create a new administrator user account and then try to access the external drive.

To create a new user account, please follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/create-user-account#create-user-account=Windows-8

Please let us know if the problem persists.

  • CD drive is not accessible. Access denied

    Hello

The company that I started to work has created a Group Policy object that denies users from using removable devices such as cd/dvd players. They also have a group who has access to them, it worked most of the time, but I have problems with a single user. He is a member of the group that is allowed access to readers and removable storage however when he tries to open the files on a dvd, he receives an error:

    "D:\ is not accessible.

Denied access to D:\ "(I think that this is the error that he sent me)

I can remote in his work station and if I uninstall the reader of cd in Device Manager, reboot, reinstall, reboot, then it gives the same error, but if I uninstall the drive and reinstall without rebooting, the user can access the drive without errors. On the side, after a reboot it starts to make the same mistake. This seems like a problem with the users in AD account, as it is the only one that has this problem, but my manager does not re-create the user, is there another difficulty I can try?

  • Host: Linux, guest: Windows 95. Virtual floppy drive is not accessible

I have Windows 95 as a guest on an Ubuntu machine.  I have no physical floppy but drive you have "installed" a virtual floppy drive with the following text in the vmx file

    floppy0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    floppy0. FileName = ' / home/me/VM95/Windows95_A/ordflop.» IMA.

    floppy0.filetype = 'file '.

    floppy0.startConnected = 'TRUE '.

where ordflop. IMA is a non bootable floppy drive disk image.  I got it mounted on my Ubuntu host computer so the file should be OK.

However, when I start the W95 guest (after a clean restart of the host) and try to run Explorer on the A: drive, I get the 'helpful' message

    A:\ is not accessible

    Device is not ready

How can I get rid of this "mistake"?

Another thread (105764) that deals with a problem with a Windows startup NT referred to as modifying a registry key, but the key does not exist on my Windows 95 machine and it adding has no effect.

Well, I wanted to test this for you yesterday, but my ubuntu host decided that he does not like the ATI card in it more for one reason or the other.

Unfortunately do not have the time to solve the problems he (I could if I spent less time on the forums... hmmm...)

I do not know you have triple checked this, but just in case...

Are you sure that not only the box "connect at power on", but especially the "connected" box is checked?

If this is the case, could join the vmware.log for this virtual machine file (please do not paste content just) your answer?

  • Satellite A300 - driver VGA not run is not enough smooth

    Hello
    Recently, I installed XP on my A300, but she seems not to run pretty smooth. The part where VGA takes place when viewing a website is really irritating, for example http://forums.pcbsd.org/<- scrolling="" down="" this="" is="" a="" lagy="" process,="" it="" shouldn't="" be,="" the="" problem="" is="" with="" vga.="" first="" i="" installed="">
    01/12/09
    Display driver
ATI, Windows XP 8.477 World Wide
and after that, I decided that maybe older are better by installing this:
    12/15/08
    Display driver
    ATI, Windows XP 8.552.0.0

None of this seems to solve the problem. Any ideas?

    > scroll down it's a lagy process, should not be

I would not say that the VGA (graphics card) driver does not work properly only because the Web page does not scroll you smoothly.

How about use of other software, tools and programs?
You are able to run some games?

I think you should test it!
