Satellite L series - keyboard does strange things

My keyboard is made of strange things, but only online, including email. Capital letters will insert randomly, spaces appear when not intended.

Interestingly, it does not these things as I type on this site. Here is a sample made what he did: "my tell CLA doing hings... sTanrget. »

My computer repair shop indicates if a keyboard goes wrong, it will go wrong in applications and not only one, but I only happen when online, most often on the enamel.

If anyone else has experienced this?
Download new BIOS Toshiba has failed due to a compatibility issue with Windows 7.

Also I tried to download a driver of keyboard updated without success.

Thanks for the tips.

> My computer repair shop says that, if a keyboard is going bad, it would go bad in all applications and not only one, but > I feel only happen when online, most often on the enamel.

I agree that if keyboard would be defective, the issue should be the help of other applications or the publishers.

Have you tried to use a different e-mail application to test this behavior strange keyboard?
Do this!

In addition you can connect an external USB keyboard functionality as part of your email application.

    Hi all

I have a new L50 Satellite and the keyboard is made of strange things, I get random capital put into words as I type, which means that even now, I'll have to go back and good things otherwise I'm tyYing like that, sometimes the capitals are on constantly regardless of if the caps lock is on and I have to select shift caps lock or shift to get lower-case letters. It is intermittent and sometimes it is worse than the others, I thought, it might be something to do with now the SHIFT key for too long, but it seems to make no difference, I disabled the option keys to sticky etc, but no luck so far.

It also interferes with me by selecting things on a screen, for example I can't do an Excel sheet spread as the cell is selected, as I am bound to SHIFT or ctrl down permanently, and if I click the cell next to him, it selects that too.

    Any ideas?

    TIA.

Sounds like a keyboard problem. There is a spillage?
You may need to send to an ASP for repair.

    Sounds like keyboard problem.
The operating system uses the pilot to clean keyboard and generally it s not necessary to reinstall the special keyboard driver.
But one thing is really strange; the yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager

Eventually it s only a problem of software in such a case, a system restore can be useful...

Have you checked if the keyboard works in the BIOS?
    Do this!

If the keyboard does not work in the BIOS, then you will need to replace the internal keyboard with the new.

  • Satellite A210 - 17l - keyboard does not respond

    Hello

I have a problem that is driving me crazy.
When I press F2 or F12 to switch on the keyboard behaves as it should.
However if trying to load a Boot CD or Usb car via the options F12, the device is recognized
but click on any other key, the cursor just sits there intermittently at me and the keyboard does not respond.
What makes strange, is that an external keyboard is recognized but the mirrors one internal.
I have the latest version of the bios update.

F2 in the bios - ok keyboard.
Start in win7 - keyboard ok.
Insert bootable back disk via F12 option-charges but no keyboard reagent.
I think a partial corrupt bios
Someone has ideas about problem or even a solution.

And what should happen on this stage?

For me, this looks like a problem with your startup disk.
I installed OS using different disks of Microsoft or USB recovery media and all you have to do is click on most of the time on the button NEXT.

If the keyboard works in BIOS and Windows, I see no problem with the keyboard there.

  • Satellite Pro M50 is doing weird things perpetually

    Hello

I come to you in a State of defeat, I have in my care at the present time a friends Satellite Pro M50, Model No.: PSM55E-003001EN, who does BIZARRE things perpetually, I tried to diagnose for a few weeks and am still absolutely perplexed.

When started after a period of time (for example, be left overnight), the computer turns on, the rotation of the fan disc to the top, but nothing comes on the screen, it is completely blank. If you turn it off and turn back on again immediately, after that it will start and 'messages' as usual. The reason for this is a mystery to me, because it is only a problem the first time that you turn it on after a while to be turned off, then it disappears.

Secondly, when it does not start XP, half the time that it will work fine until the screen is touched (tilted forward or backward), which either will make return empty (but always backlit), or BSOD. The other half of the time, it will start in XP, but after a few moments enclosing or suffer the cutting issue screen without being hit at all. I also tried connected to an external monitor, where the output seems to have the same behavior as the computer screen (on off the moment when you off/white/frozen etc.).

Now, I have re-installed times mulitple XP on the computer, and (outside), it will work perfectly well in a base state being moved and tilted in all directions, I can think of trying, until I have install the ATI display driver recommended from the Web from Toshiba or legacy ATI site When the problems about screen clipping and booting into the operating system seem to start...

I also tried to install a distribution of Ubuntu on the machine, which works properly again for awhile once installation is complete, until the machine is turned off and left overnight, the next day, wherever he hangs at startup 'Ubuntu' screen and does not start despite any number of reboots.

I ran Memtest and it indicates that the RAM is fine, and the HARD drive was also tested and is in working condition. Now, this does not seem to point me in the direction of a flaw with the graphics chip, but I don't know if it would force the latter to expose ALL of the behaviors that shows this machine...

Someone at - it advice about these issues? Given the age of the machine and taking into account the cost of a new phone of base, I don't think that it is worth my friend spend money on fixing the thing, I try right here save the dump.

    Thank you.

I can't say with certainty what the problem but, as Akuma have already written, there must be a hardware problem.
What you can do about it? You can try to find it on eBay or elsewhere mainboard handed to nine and exchange it in the hope that everything will be OK. Otherwise you can give advice to your friend to save money and buy new laptops.

  • Satellite A60-106 keyboard does not

I have the laptop above that I took apart to clean the fans. I had to remove the keyboard to do this, and when I put back it together that happened something strange. The first time I started it only half the keyboard worked. I took apart again to check the water and he was sitting and implemented correctly. When I turned this back, reworked keys.
However, I have noticed when it lights up, caps lock light flashes as it should. However, I can't enter the BIOS or windows boot menu or type nothing when the operating system is loaded.
I bought a new keyboard now and it does exactly the same thing is not that.
The USB keyboard works well and I noticed that when I put the caps lock on the caps lock on the keyboard of the laptop also comes on but the keyboard still does not work.
I downloaded the latest toshiba Web site bios but when I try to start it (this is a windows-based program) it says 'UpdatePlatform failed '. It is the correct bios found here: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/eula/info_eng2.asp
Here, any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi dude

    > I have the laptop above that I took apart to clean the fans. I had to remove the keyboard to do this, and when I put back it together that happened something strange.

Have you deleted parts more than only the keyboard to clean the cooling module?
    I guess you did!
What to tell my friend to me it looks like a hardware problem and it seems that you have done something wrong during disassembly, but portable.

I put t thing that could update the BIOS helps you because it doesn't look like a BIOS problem. Why? Because it looks like the laptop successfully ran before the opening!

In my opinion, that you should contact a mobile technician as a common user like you who have no experience will not be able to remedy!

is there a permanent solution to this problem?

This is not something to do with installed programs is not something to do with the browser settings.
restarting the computer works in a short time, but that is a long time, it's really annoying because I use this for work and study!

    > is there a permanent solution to this problem?

The question is what causes this problem? Is it related hardware or software related issue?

Why n t connect a USB keyboard just to check if the same would happen?

In case the USB keyboard would work fine, I guess that the internal keyboard failures and the solution would be a simple replacement of the defective part.
