Satellite L100 - 103 Wireless Connection / W - lan is slow

Hello everyone!
I have a problem with my networkconnection wireless of my new PC toshiba laptop.
Centrino 1.66 ghz, 512 MB ram
my wireless card is called "Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection"<- is="" this="" a="" good="" card="">

So let me explain what the problems are:
(1) the wlan card still can't find the router. (for now, that it seems to work, but I only am not sure if it works tomorrow too =))
(2) once the card recognized wlan router, it seemed that everything would work, but the connection was very very slow and it took more than 10 seconds to load a normal site, although the intensity of the signal was "very good"!
(I tried with opera and internet explore)

so my question is: what can I do to improve the speed? is the card may be damaged? I had the latest drivers (also windows update) and don't know what to do... :(
im hoping for answers, thank you! =)
Daniel

Hello

Go to Device Manager and select the wireless network card. Go to properties and select the advanced options. Here, you can disable the power option. The 802.11 set short and long preamble

I just got a new Satellite L100 and I'm trying to connect to my Netgear dg834g router wirelessly. If I disabled security it connects ok, but if I activate WAP message said little or no connectivity. I can connect to the router via a network cable and it's also ok.
    If someone could help?

    Hello

Where have you enabled WPA encryption?
On the WLan router or wireless network card?
If you have enabled encryption on the wireless network card, so you must also configure the WLan router with this encryption.
But if encryption has been configured on the router, so I guess that the wifi card does not support this encryption and you will need to choose another type of encryption as WEP WiFi.

Encryption depends on the specification of the equipment and not over WLan driver.
So if the card doesn t supports WPA is so not much to do.

  • On Satellite L750/0 wireless connectivity issues s 5

    I own a laptop L750/0 s 5.

I seem to have a problem with my wireless connection, where anywhere not at 10 m from the router the connection cuts in and out with the yellow sign 'limited connectivity' always appears. disconnect and reconnect solves the problem for a few minutes. Ive resorted to the close session of the router.

the computer is 2 months old, the Wlan driver is up-to-date. power options have been configured to be on maximum performance for Wlan etc etc.

The main thing that annoys me, it's all the others (much older laptops) in our House very much work where mine doesn't. I actually lost performance from where I can get my old toshiba portege m300 to this new wireless signals.

In terms of information, the computer is running windows 7. Wireless network card is Atheros AR9002WB-1NG.

If theres any other information that you need, as im sure there will be, I would like to know and ill try my best.

    The router is really new.

    Thanks for your help

    > the computer is 2 months old, the Wlan driver is up-to-date. power options have been configured to be on maximum performance for Wlan etc etc.

The latest Wlan drivers can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

Please keep in mind that you use the latest driver v9.2.0.419.0

To be honest, I had the same idea to disable the power save for Wlan and it more often it should work are you sure that you have changed this in the same power station that is used when the laptop is running on battery power?

However, it would be interesting to know if the Satellite L750 uses the same Wlan 802.11 standard, as do other portable
In the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card, you can choose the standard Wlan 802.11

  • Satellite L500 - lost wireless connection

My Satellite L500 recently lost the wireless connection. I looked towards the top of the Realtek wireless device in Device Manager and it says that the device is functioning properly. I tried to use "ping 192.168.1.1" join the router, and I get "error Transmit - general failure."

    Any ideas?

    Hey Buddy,

And now Windows recognize some WIFI networks at your fingertips? Your validation lost wireless connection isn't very useful

You should try a WLAN driver update that you can download from the official page of Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If you can't find or connect to WLAN networks deactivate in the Windows of the WLAN power save mode power profiles. You will need to set for maximum performance.

    Hello

For most Wlan issues are related to problems of compatibility between the wireless network card and the Wlan router.
Sometimes the Wlan driver allows to obtain the best performance.
So, try to update the WLan driver first. Maybe it helps.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L500 - no wireless connection

    Hello

I bought 2 notebooks to Christmas for children, but cannot get them to connect to the wireless connection.

I contacted Toshiba helpdesk and they want to contact me my internet provider.
I'm a bit confused at this but as I have other laptops and they had no problem.

I can see the connection, but it wont let me connect saying something like "(Impossible de se connecter àle réseau local sans fil-c-15) '? '."

Laptops are L500 and I tried to update the driver but there seems to be a problem with that too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

First of all it is important to know if your router is configured correctly.
The WLan router must be configured with all the data from ISP (internet service provider).

You said that other laptops can successfully connect to the Wlan router, so I guess that the router is configured properly.

    Now, you should check the WLan settings books;

-WiFi must be enabled. To do this, you need to use the FN + F8 key combination. The small Wlan icon will appear.
-After that, you have to choose; you will use own WLan configuration options of Windows or you must use a third-party tool 3rd as utility of Atheros Wlan or Intel Proset wireless wifi connection utility.
-WLan parameters must contain the right SSID (name of the Wlan), the right encryption and password.
-In the WLan connection TCP/IP Protocol, IP and DNS settings must be defined to automatically get
-The MAC address filtering should be disabled in the router configuration if you don t want to insert the available wireless network cards unique MAC addresses

  • Satellite T110-11U: WLan connection dropped and very slow performance

    Hi people,

I use a Satellite T110-11U running windows 7 Home premium.

After having initially was very satisfied with its use, it now becomes more and more frustrating to use with wifi, with connections dropped and very slow performance.

I have updated the BIOS and think I have updated all drivers wirelss, but could be the problem. It seems that wireless, software of management is at fault because the networks are detected, but not clinging.

Any suggestion or tips to try will help save my sanity!

    Thanks for your help.

    John

    > have updated the BIOS and think I have updated all drivers wirelss, but could be the problem.
If you need to make sure that you use the latest WLan driver.
The driver can be downloaded here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

The laptop uses the Realtek RTL8191SE of WLan card.
Please also reset the settings of the Wlan router. I had a lot of problems with my WLan and after the reset of the router, performance problems disappeared.

  • Satellite Pro 4340: Wireless connection problem

I can't connect my sons Satellite pro 4340 using a belkin preN wireless card Belkin router to take are there problems that I need to know or anyone could do that?

    Hello

Well, if you want t use WiFi, you must pay attention to the different settings and options.
First of all, are you sure that you have installed the wireless network card correctly and it appears in Device Manager 100%?
    Please check!

After the properly installing the LAN on laptop computer card, you must configure the WLan router.
For most installation instructions delivered with the package and you will need to follow these guidelines!

For the first time, I would not recommend to set of ciphers.
You must first test the connection without encryption, and if it works then you can allow it.

  • Satellite Pro L650 - wireless connectivity problems

I recently started having problems to be able to connect wirelessly.

laptop is able to find connections to home and my wireless router. but it is impossible to connect. or when it does, the soons connection becomes broken and she begins searching for signals to connect to. I'm literally just 2 metres from the router, signed lstrength or interference is not a problem. I have no problem connecting via a LAN cable.

This question has recently developed after having had no problem before, and it's really annoying me now!

I should just be able to switch on my laptop (whether at home or office) and he just needs to connect to internet automatically!

I hope someone out there can tell me what to do as this beyond embarrassing. I tried to uninstall driver and reboot system below. He still does not!

    Hi dazzablack,

What operating system is installed on your laptop? You use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba or your own installation?

Maybe the problem has something to do with the WLAN energy saving settings. I check the Windows power management and set the card WLAN for maximum performance. If you can ensure that you will always have the best performance of WLAN. :)

  • Satellite Pro A60 Wireless connection problem

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A60 which was connected to our main office using a Linksys Home Wireless - G USB adapt to I can share files and also connect to our connection broadband. The main office is connected directly to a G from Linksys home wireless gateway. It worked fine then for no reason (no settings have been changed or installed software) the laptop does not connect to the desktop or the internet. The software Linksys says that it is connected to the access point, but the internet cannot be found. Even if he says that it is connected I can't get to the desktop.

I tried to set up a dial-up connection independent for updating drivers etc, but after the normal dial tones, he says that it cannot connect to the remote computer.

We tried everything that we think would be grateful for any ideas. Please speak slowly and distinctly also even if I know a little technical jargon computers is a language that I'm not still commonly!

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It's really not easy to say what can be the problem. In my opinion, you must remove all the settings and adapter WLAN Device Manager. Restart the unit, reinstall the wireless card and make a WLAN configuration again.

In my opinion, it is very important to know if the WIFI network of the device works correctly, and if you are able to share files between the laptop and our main office. If it works properly again check the settings on our front door.

One is the problem with Notepad or another device. If someone of your friends has a WIFI at home, you can try to check the laptop WIFI functionality. On this way, you can be sure that if the problem is caused by your Satellite Pro.

If you find a solution please let me know what the problem is.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro L20: Wireless connection is not reliable

    Hello

We have some Toshiba laptops in the office.

However, the wireless on our most recent purchase (Satellite Pro L20) installation is very reliable. Periodically he loses sight of the network without apparent reason.

We have the device permanently connected, and the problem can occur even when the machine is in the middle of copying files to and from the network server.

The actual wireless access point is within a few feet of distance (in view), so I can't imagine there is a problem of signal strength. Can anyone offer me any guidance?

I don't know where to start on this one there...

    TIA
