Satellite L300 - how to reinstall Windows Vista on the replacement HARD drive

Hello

My HARD drive has stopped working on my PSLB9E. He started making whirring noises and wouldn't start. all tests show it does not. Now I guess I need a replacement for HARD drive and watched a TOSH MK2565GSX or other similar. Problem is I can't find my Windows key anywhere.

It is can get the key to Toshiba/Microsoft giving them all my contact information or do I have to buty a new HARD drive and install a copy newly purchased Windows on? If Yes, then I'll put W7 on I guess.

Thanks in advance for any help I receive!

SB

> Problem is that I can't find my Windows key anywhere.
The preinstalled Windows operating system and the image that is placed on the Toshiba recovery disc were already activated and therefore the serial key is not necessary.
If you don t have the recovery disc, so you can buy this drive here:

It s not expensive; 30 euros I guess.

  • How to install Windows 7 on the new hard drive?

I changed the old hard drive (500 GB) with a new hard dirve (1 Tera) and now I have two problems:-

    2. my laptop came preinstalled Windows 7 Pro, but all the DVD kit (disk reclaimer Application & discs) + Revocer operating system, which has been provided (by Lenovo) for the laptop is in the Windows 8 Pro. So, how to install Windows 7 Pro, my laptop while all the DVD sets are in Windows 8 Pro?

(as I told you before, all the DVD kit is at or only for Windows 8 Pro)

I hope someone will help me answer my question,
    Thank you

    I found the solution.

Response to question 1; using a recovery & backup software to clone my current operating system, and then transfer them to my new hard drive.

Response to question 2; Download all drivers and software (all the application that located on the DVD of the kit I have) on the official website of Lenovo.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 on the replacement hard drive

I got the replacement from Dell hard drive which he said would come with Windows 8 and pre-installed drivers. Well, I installed the hard drive and he said no. OS can be found. I didn't have a chance to make my own backup discs, but Dell sent a CD Windows 8 recovery media with the laptop and now with the replacement hard drive.

When you try to install Windows 8 on the new hard drive, I get to the part where it tells me to choose a partition to install Windows 8 on and none of them will not let me. There are 5 to choose from and I don't know what to do to get past this. The largest partition either 5A about 934 GB of space left out of 1 TB, but as I said I can't choose it or one of the other ones for the installation.

You just have to click on next, in any case, despite the message?  Otherwise:

Start on the DVD of Windows 8, instead of install now, click repair your computer, Advanced Options, invites ... when it opens, type the following:

    DiskPart
    Select disk 0
    clean

    Then, try to install.

The above will remove all the data partition and disk, allowing you to do a clean install on an empty drive (these scores are not required, and Windows will create its own partitions (two) he needs to install and run).

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300 - recovery disk will reinstall Windows OS on the new HARD drive

Hard drive of my Satellite Pro A300 failed. It has now been replaced. I ordered a recovery disk.
This will allow me to reinstall Windows Vista OS that is installed initially?

Also, I get this message "BOOTMGR MISSING". The recovery disc will fix this problem too?
    Thanks in advance!

    > I ordered a recovery disk. This will allow me to reinstall Windows Vista OS that is installed initially?
    Yes. Without a doubt.

New HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS settings?
    If so avoid any problem.

Moreover, A300 works perfectly and much better with Win7 32 bit.

  • I need to reinstall Windows Vista on a NEW hard drive

I need to upgrade my hard drive a 500 GB to a 2 TB hard drive. I want to keep the old hard drive as what without having to format. I'll put it on in the case where I never need to access the data that's out there. I have the key Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit disk and license. Is it possible to just install it on the hard drive again without any license validation error or the old hard drive must be formatted to remove windows. Desktop PC. Thank you

    Hello

Legally, you must save your data > wipe this most hard > re - install your data, and then use this drive hard as you would normally use an external hard drive. namely for data only.

One license is for a single installation.

  • Dell Inspiron 3520 - hard drive failure - how to install Windows 8 on the new hard drive

I bought Dell Inspiron 3520. My hard drive has stopped working completely. It was stated as dead hard drive by diagonstic center.

The .iso image file official 10565 has only:

    • Overview of the House of insiders
    • Overview of the Insider Pro

Unfortunately, there are 5 editions of Windows 10 and so 3 are missing. If your key is not automatically entered and accepted, it's probably a simple language edition or edition N.

When Microsoft release 10586 - TH2 - 1511 Version they will probably have an .iso that contains all 5 editions in 1 .iso or alternatively 5 .isos distinct (I hope as the first case that it will make Windows installation much easier).

  • How to reinstall Windows XP without formatting my HARD drive?

    Hello
Firstly, sorry if there are a lot of typos in my post but I did not often speak (write) English...
I have a big problem and I would like to reinstall windows XP, but I don't want to format my HD.
When I was with Win98, I had to insert the boot disk and the Windows 98 CD and I could just reinstall windows 98!
With the Cd rescued provide my computer (Satellite A80) I can format my HD and install windows XP. Is there a solution to reinstall all windows Xp and keep the other file?

    Hello

Well, I recommend to create a second partition on the HARD drive. There you can reinstall you new version of Windows XP.
If you want to use the Toshiba Recovery CD, you must use the Expert mode to recover the operating system, because there you can choose the partition.

You can move the windows on a new computer

If it's a full license or upgrade retail - Yes. You can move it to another computer as long as it is installed on a single computer at a time (and if it's a Windows 7 Upgrade version the new computer must have its own license of qualification). The previous Windows installation on your old computer must be formatted or deleted. You will have to perhaps call Microsoft and explain what happened to complete activation. Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer.

If it's an OEM license - don't. OEM licenses, including Windows preinstalled on a computer before purchase and Windows purchased separately, are related to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer. To install Windows on another computer, you will need to buy another copy.

  • Install Vista on the replacement hard drive?

The hard drive in the venerable (but reliable) G60 my wife gave up.  After five or six years, we are unable to find its recovery disks.  The Microsoft Certificate of authenticity is also unreadable.

My wife bought a spare by a local retailer.  How can I download a copy of Vista to burn it to a CD (or get media) and can HP be able to support the number of the original certificate if I give them the serial number?  Who do I start?

    Thanks in advance.

In fact, we found its recovery disks (surprisingly), is not a problem.  I'm going to close this message.

  • How to reinstall windows 7 and make a hard drive partition

    Hi friends!

My system (dell inspiron 5010) is very slow now and there is another problem of ltfil13n.dll file is missing, then please give me advice step by step pdf tutorial if a link is available and please suggest me.

Your Dell has either a partition recovery hidden with which the first use of your PC you must have created recovery disks or recovery disks would be provided by Dell.

It's all that you need to restore to factory State

Your missing dll refers to a third-party program to Lead Tech, it's not a core win file

  • Satellite A60: How to recover my photos from the XP HARD drive

    Hello

    Please someone help, I'm desperate...

Just tried to load WXP Pro Upgrade on Toshiba laptop (model PSA60E - 0300 217Y) of the publishing house. Before closing itself restarted. Now, Miss me the SYS/config file.

I know, I know... should have saved, but not... have a lot of photos of family, which my wife would kill me if I don't get back.

Got any ideas... can I reload MS Pro Home on a separate partition and then get the pictures in this way?

I tried a link Hot, you can see the My Docs, but 'access denied '.

Any help would be appreciated with gratitude
    Thank you

    Hello

If you use an original Windows CD, you can try using the repair console.
Simply start from the CD and during the installation of the procedure uses the R key to start the console.
Then you might be able to access the HARD disk, and you may be able to copy the missing files from CD to HARD disk. But it's embarrassing

Alternatively, you can try to reinstall the OS again the installation program allows you to create a partition and after installation, you can try to access the other partition where the pictures were stored...
    So maybe it helps

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • How boot Windows Vista from a USB hard drive that has a good backup Vista already on him.

Hi, initially, I thought I had a virus (blue screens that appear often), then I thought I had a corrupted driver or systems file. So, I had a 2 t USB external hard drive and saved ALL my internal hard drive.  After execution of all kinds of tests from my internal hard drive, it does NOT pass the diagnostic test and always stops in the same place on the internal hard drive.  It becomes harder and harder to start on my internal drive of 'C' without getting some kind of blue screen.  I'm sure that now it's my drive "C" which is declining and malfunction and I am convinced now to go forward and every time you start my existing backup Vista SP2 that I backed up on my disk 'K', or if I can, then do a new clean install of Vista 86 x (32 bit) on the disc 'K '.  My boot sequence is as follows: 1. Disc 2 DVD 3. External drive USB 'K' 4. Internal drive C (eventually when I get all fixed, I turn OFF my 'C' drive.)  When I boot my computer without my Vista disk, it bypasses the 'K' reader, because all the "loadup data" is located in a folder and are not exposed, or I don't have the files to "load" just in the right place.  When I look at the file config.sys and autoexec.bat copied, I see nothing in the files that would be "load" my existing Vista, instead he just goes right in front of the reader 'K' and on the 'C' drive and loaded a version own intalled my Vista (if I can avoid a blue screen, sometimes I have to load in "safe mode" and even) It doesn't work sometimes!)  My question is what the loadup files are needed and where on my 'K' drive (in system32?) to be able to restart my old copy of Vista which has all my existing configurations in place?  Thanks in advance for your help.
