Satellite L300 turn off after 30 seconds

Hello

I have a problem with my L300. When I turn on my laptop it works only 30 seconds and then turn off.
It does not matter when I go into the BIOS or not, I have the same result. I thought it's a battery, but when I asked another good one the situation was the same. The two diodes (batteries and AC adapter) only lights up.

Where can be a problem?

Hello

In my opinion this has nothing to do if your laptop is new or old. It can always happen, because it s electric parts. ;)

As Luke has already written that you must contact the ASP in your country, if this happens also on BIOS. If your laptop is so new, you will get a new mother or any other free game card. :)

    ·         You external devices connected now?

    Try the following.

Method 1: Disconnect external devices not essential, connected to the computer and restart the computer.

Method 2: Load default BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) settings, and then restart the computer. Make sure that you have the CD drive set as first boot device. Check the settings by consulting the manual or call the manufacturer to do so.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

  • Computer Toshiba laptop turns off after 3 seconds

I can't understand what is happening with my computer, but I hope that this information will help you. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are 3 computers involved. One is a Toshiba laptop Satellite L300D Vista I had in December 2008 and the other two are Toshiba Satellite M110 XP portable computers that we got in December 2006 I think.

The problem started with the Vista. It stops just one day and when I tried to turn it back on, it would show the Toshiba screen for a few seconds and then die. He was the life of the battery. Tried everything, could not, so I have restored the default computer. After it's on, I loaded my music in my external hard drive and a few days later, he crashed again. I restored it again and load my music back in, and then a few days later, he crashed again. Now when I try to restore it, it does not accept the restore disc. The hard drive flashes orange several times and the disc not spin fast enough to start doing anything.

I decided to forget the vista computer, I had a year and a half... And started using my xp computer is a few years old. I've ONLY used to browse Craigslist (after I started using it instead of my Vista computer for a few days, after that the Vista) and not load any music in there. This computer has worked since then, but about a week after the death of my vista, my xp now has the same problem. It turns on for a while and then turns off immediately. Since they are the two Toshibas, they can use the same chargers so I would use the charger that comes with the vista or another, that I got off eBay a few years ago. Been using two wires forever and then everything suddenly this question not sure that it of a problem with the power or not, but one thing I noticed was my vista computer would make a rattling noise from inside the computer only when has been plugged in the charger from eBay, and I noticed my xp making the same sound as that connected with the charger from eBay just before you die too.

My brother also has a toshiba satellite m110 xp laptop, and we tried a few things with the vista computer to try to make it work. A site offered to take the RAM and try to turn it on. Nothing that's happened. We took the ram from my brothers computer which works very well and put it in the vista. Nothing happened. We took the hard drive from her computer and put it in the vista and the computer DID start up (which was great cause I've not seen on in about a month) but it started up to a blue screen. Put us the hard drive in my brothers xp and the computer was working fine... For a few hours. Now the computer will not start correctly and we are trying to restore his computer but couldn't find the restore disc. Her hard drive was in my computer literally 15 seconds and his computer is now toast.

I don't care about my laptop toshiba satellite m110 xp, but I want a solution for my toshiba laptop satellite L300D vista, and I also want to get my brothers running again because I ruined. I don't know much about computers, but my guess is that there is nothing wrong with the ram or hard drives, but something else in my vista computer that is ruining the hard drives. That still doesn't explain why my XP computer is turn off after a few seconds suddenly well. The only thing that the Vista and my XP have in common, is that they used the same power cords (which always worked fine)

If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction, which
would be AMAZING! Thank you very much for your time

If you have problems with the Toshiba recovery media, you will need to contact Toshiba.

    It's the Toshiba recovery process.

Each manufacturer has their own particular recovery process.

And as it is now failing to do recovery required, they would be the best people to contact about this.

  • Satellite A30 turns off after a few minutes (set temp)

Anyone know if there is a temp for the A30 laptop parameter. My laptop turns off after a few minutes or alternative suggestions

    Thank you

    Hi Waseem,

Dust accumulation is not in the fans themselves, but in the space between the fans and the CPU radiator, where it is trapped by the matrix of cooling.

The technique of using a hose of vacuum cleaner against the fan grids is designed to suck the dust outside in front of the fans without having to dismantle the radiator.

Obviously, you have just as much suction as possible in order to remove any dust, it is therefore important to isolate grids of aspiration air with a cloth.

  • screen on my Philips 109 B 6 monitor suddenly began to turn off after 15 seconds of inactivity in my operating system to Windows 7

For four years, I had your desktop ThinkCentre with Windows 7 as operating system and a B 109, 6 of Philips monitor. A few days ago the screen started to go dark after 15 seconds of inactivity, whereas previously it took several minutes of idle time to do this. The screen can easily be brought back to life by pressing a button on my Logitech Classic Keyboard 200, but it is annoying and frustrating to have to do this or to continue to press an arrow key to stop the screen to go dark.

I'm not aware of having changed parameters except recently, in a vain attempt to solve this problem on the basis of proposals on various Web sites. I'm aware of have installed recently all of the new programs. There is some automatic updates of Windows 7, and I was wondering if one of them is the cause of the problem again.

Chances are it's time to replace your screen with a modern.

    However, first try this:

    1. Start the Globe
    2. Type Power Options in the text just popped up box
    3. Click on change plan settings

  • Pavilion MC m8430f - turns off after 2 seconds then on tip of 2 dry and resumes the cycle

I had checked power and it's good.  Also, if I remove the connector with 2 black and 2 yellow wires, power stays on but the computer does not start.

The computer repair place said it was a bad mother, but I can't see the damage on the motherboard and think it's just a thermal switch on the motherboard which is bad, I could go around.

Have you ever heard of this problem before and could I verify further?

    Found the problem.

I took everything out, including the inner workings of power.  The power supply has a fan who was working, however when I pulled the plug and power circuit, it locks so slightly.

That's all.  Apparently, the greater resistance made circuit think fan was bad and it does not think that the power supply fan is bad, in this case the circuit.

Good to know for others in the future.  Saved me a lot of money.

P.S. A computer repair place told me that the motherboard was bad, glad I checked again.

    Hello

    > and clean any dust
    How did you do that?
Usually, you can use jet of compressed air to clean the laptop and remove the dust that blocks the fan. That is why it s not necessary to disassemble the laptop as you can read here:

And the same thing happens if you access the BIOS instead of starting in Windows?

  • HP DV6-6B25TX turn off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the power of the battery or power supply

    Hello

MY DV6-6B25TX is cutting off after 10-15 seconds, regardless of the battery power or AC power.

Here's the complete scenario of what happened in recent weeks:--

Two weeks back I was using the laptop with the power adapter is plugged in for charging, the battery got charged up to 99% then it stopped charging and display the battery icon text, "plugged in, not charging".

A return of the week, the battery was 20%, after plugging in the charger, always the same message "Plugged in, no charging current".

Now the laptop does not meet the key power when the battery is inserted.

If I remove the battery and back again, it starts without pushing the power button and turns off after 10 seconds, well before Windows starts.

She stops even on the Bios screen, OS is not definitely the question.

When I plug in charger and press the power button / stop, the same thing, i.e. starts and shutts off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the BIOS or Windows startup screen.

I removed the ram and but again, but the problem still persists.

Also there is no issue of overheating due to dust, as I've barely used the laptop for a few hours, the phone is about 6 months and under warranty.

    Please advice ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

Honestly, something prevents the battery charge. Computer laptop closing seconds after that reinsert the battery is a good indication the battery just is not getting charged. This could be a battery failure, charger, port, or in rare cases of charge motherboard.

Since it's under warranty, I recommend you contact HP support that there is no easy solution for this on the forums. It's a hardware problem.

The number of the Canada and the United States support is 1-800-474-6836.

  • Satellite A60-712 - turn off after 2-3 seconds

    Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix this Satellite A60-712; He came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible and it seems to work: CC in LED lights up and the battery starts to charge.

My problem is that this starts Mobile for awhile, radiator begins to turn, all the lights are normally, but, all of a sudden everything turns off after 2-3 seconds. I have observed that this machine has only one slot of free RAM and noted that it has integrated the module memory motherboard; that would be the problem? Or another reason?

    Could someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hello

    > it came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible
Can you please test it with a Toshiba original AC/DC adapter? The same thing is happening?

If the laptop has already integrated memory motherboard there is no problem. Alternatively, you can use the laptop without additional RAM module.

In the worst cases, you need professional help of an authorized service provider. :(

  • Satellite M60/M55: Turns off after power loss

Reposting because the original threads are locked.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=15285&MessageID=55746
My M60 sometimes turns off immediately after unplugging the power supply (AC power or plug the laptop CC), instead of out on the battery even though the battery is fully charged.
The battery is OK & the laptop starts regularly on the battery after pressing the on switch.
The Toshiba Power Saver seems to work OK & I have the latest version of the BIOS.
I always save my work before unplugging, but again, I do not like this behavior & would appreciate some good advice.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19092
Satellite M55 turns off by unplugging the power cable to unplug my laptop making rather that to the battery, my laptop will often simply turn off even though the battery is fully charged. Other time things work as it should.

I had the motherboard replaced for another reason and was quite surprised to notice the problem after a replacement (but without reinstalling OS).
The main suspect is the TPS and its pilot; A few months ago, a new version is released the Toshiba support site for M60 (although file dates are not fresh, and I think that I have installed this version earlier).

So, I removed the GST and the GST pilot. I tried several times and it didn't happen again. Not even when I reinstalled the.

During the test, I have disabled the HD write cache to avoid file corruption problems (but this slows down HD operation, particularly of hibernation).
I don't know if it works because also earlier the computer would be closed only occasionally, not all the time. But this may be a clue in case you have this problem. If you do, please test and report the result, no matter what the result is.

What to say dude. The problem is that this problem occurs ONLY occasionally and so it's not easy to find the real reason for these cases.

However, I would try to give some useful advice, but first of all, it would be useful to know how old your battery.
Fact is that batteries old and stressed loose clean performance very quickly.
My battery is about 3 years and my laptop running on battery for 10-20 seconds even if it s fully charged. The performance is simple very low!

On the other hand the problem could be related to faulty electronic power to the Board of Directors
As you can see it's not easy to tell what's exactly wrong and as already suggested in other threads (locked), you should ask a technician for a control of the laptop.
The guy could run diagnostics tests and can locate the fault.

    Best regards

  • Tecra 9100 comes on intermittently and turns off after 10-15 seconds

The power button normally doesn't light up at all, even if sometimes it starts normally, starts to load windows, then always turns off after 5 to 15 seconds in any case.

It always requires the batteries very well, but it won t turn on. I ve checked the ram, hard drive and I re - set the default bios - nothing prevents to cut if you can get it to turn on.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Any help appreciated, it s the second time I had - the same problem the last time!

    Thank you

    Hey,.

Have you already tried to clean the fan? Maybe a lot of dust blocking the fan for laptop can start t, and then turns off itself due to a higher temperature. It would be interesting to try to clean it.

But in my opinion, you've done everything you can do, and it looks like a malfunction of the motherboard. If cleaning using fan doesn t I think the motherboard is faulty or something else. If you are familiar with the disassembly of the laptop, you can try to fix it yourself with second hand parts. Otherwise it s time for a new laptop I think

  • Satellite A135-S4666 - cooling fan turns on and turns off every 20 seconds

    Hello

I'm from the Argentina... I just bought a new Satellite A135-S4666 and I noticed that the cooling fan turns on and turns off every 20 seconds.
It is a little annoying and it disctracts me of what I'm doing... is there a solution?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Martin,

This behavior is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. If you find the noise irritating cooling fans you are likely to change their behavior by using the utility of Toshiba power where you should be able to set the cooling mode to run more quietly. I think trhe default is to allow the CPU to run at full speed, which will, of course, the fans turn every few seconds, but by reducing the speed of the CPU, the heat produced will be lower and therefore the fans will run less often.
