Satellite L300D-10B - overheating and will not recognize adapter

Hello

I recently encountered problems with my ac adapter when I plug, there is no green light on laptop (its loading sign) and I need to unplug plug several times up until the green light appears. In addition, laptop is overheating and won t work if adapter isn't plugged in, if I unplug the device, it turns off.

Any help?

BTW, laptop is 4 years old

> Also, laptop is overheating and won t work if adapter isn't plugged in, if I unplug the device, it turns off.

This happens even if the battery is charged and connected?
This means that the battery is dead. This would also explain the question why battery does not charge.

I think that the battery needs to be checked at the beginning.

Regarding overheating:
I guess that the laptop has not been cleaned in the past.
This could be the reason why don t cooling fans work as it should. Dust inside the cooling module prevents the fans run at high performance. I think that's the reason why there is a problem with air circulation.
Then try to clean the fans with a jet of compressed air. This allows to remove dust.

  • Satellite Pro L10 - USB port will not recognize devices

    Hello

I got a L10 for 18 months. Under the guarantee, I got a replacement motherboard mounted. Everything has been ok so far. A USB port will not recognize devices, a port is ok, but randomly turns off a device attached to it and comes up with the message "USB device not recognized". The third port is ok all the time.

    Any solutions or suggestions?

I guess there is not enough power on the USB ports and external devices may not work correctly. It is not easy to say why this happens, but there may be a problem of welding.

I recommend you contact the service again as soon as possible.

  • Satellite A300D - is overheating and can not play games

    Hello
I'm quite desperate. My Satellite A300D is overheating. I can not play new games. Temperature hit 94 degrees and laptop is restarted. I cleaned it several times, very precisely and nothing. So I decided to send it to the official service of Toshiba. After that, the phone is still the same.

My only hope is buy cooling grease and cooling stock-base. But before that ideas, advice?

    Thanks for everything...

    Hello

I can understand you mate, but have you contacted Toshiba service center again? You should speak with the technicians and explain the situation. I put t know what they did, do you know that?

Cleaning of the laptop is still a good idea but if it doesn't work maybe the thermal compound must be renewed. So ask a technician for help laptop.

By the way: what OS are you using? You can use the same problem with the factory settings and preinstalled display driver?

  • Satellite L300D-13s, crashed and primer not

I received an alert on my Toshiba L300D-13 s via Toshiba Tempro alerts to download the latest version of the BIOS updated. I downloaded the update and installation, during installation the PC crashed and froze completely lost power for about 30 seconds.

Since this laptop will not start, power that the battery is and plug lights are turned on, also when I press the power button, the fan starts and the lights on the keyboard flash but then nothing. The laptop does nothing the fan works for a short period and then turns off.

I'm not an expert but I think there must be something seriously wrong with her, any advice would be greatly appreciated. The laptop is still under warranty, so as soon as I get some sort of confirmation that presents a serious problem I can send it off for repair.

    Hello

    Thanks for the feedback buddy.
I think that if the guarantee is valid then it s always advisable to get in touch with ASP in your country.
    Generally guarantee must cover everything!
Guys might try to reflash the BIOS to the trad-BIOS version.
This update of the BIOS can be done using a floppy disk, and doesn t need a running windows system!

  • My hp pavilion dv6 3010us stopped charging and will not recognize it is is plugged

I was using my laptop just as usual, plugged in and charge, when he spontaenously started running on the battery. I made sure all connections of the cord (output plug, cord box, plugged in the power cord and plug for laptop) were very good, tested on another plug and checked the cord for all internal or weak points - each five-by-five seemed obvious. The battery is discharged at a ridiculous rate (one percent per minute on saving energy with a gray screen mode) and not USB plug-ins when on battery. No amount of fiddling with it will get the battery to consider itself connected, even though I know that power is getting at least to the adapter box. as it has an indicator light. I can't run a check of the battery because he does not have to be plugged in to the AC adapter. The problem seems to be with the battery or adapter - the absurd rate with which the laptop uses power would seem to indicate that the battery, but the fact that the computer will not "plug-in" suggests that it is the adapter - but as far as I know, it's somewhere inside the laptop computer between the two. I prefer not to spend money on both, espcially if the problem is neither. Any suggestions?

    Additional information:

    • Running Windows 7 64 bit
    • Replaced the power cord of the adapter a year ago
    • Computer bought in July 2010

  • Satellite A60-672 hangs and will not initialize correctly

    Hello

I have a Toshiba laptop A60-672 he had been running slow but now when I turn the laptop it goes directly to the option screen where I choose the mode without failure or last known good configuration, all the options I choose goes into the windows form as if xp load to the top of the blue cross bar the bottom of the screen you get a quick click of a blue screen and then it restarts to the safe mode screen and know last good config?

    Can someone advise me

    Thanks and greetings

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say why the blue screen occurs. You know when a system error occurs, the computer displays a blue screen containing error codes. Can we post this code? Maybe someone will be able to say something that will help you.

Anyway, in my opinion, the BONE is totally screwed and I fear at the end, you need to do clean install of the OS.

  • Satellite L300D-13R (PSLB0E) - Wifi will not turn on FN + F8

    Hi all

As stated above, have rebuilt my laptop and loaded the following drivers of www.toshiba-tro.de:

    Toshiba common module
    Touch Pad Driver
    Press the start/stop utility
    Toshiba Utilities

For example, I can hit FN F6/F7 and it changes the contrast of the screen, but when I try to activate the wireless (FN F8) nothing happens. The FN on the keyboard lights when I hit him. The Wifi button at the bottom of the laptop is also activated.

Someone has ideas which driver I'm missing?

The latest version of the wireless LAN card driver is also responsible (Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802 11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter).

I remember having to rebuild the laptop before and find this driver/utility was a nightmare.

Would appreciate any help/suggestions on this.

    Thanks :)

    Hello

If the other FN keys work correctly then it means that your WLan driver is not installed and it's why the WiFi network can not be activated properly.

As you say the laptop seems to be equipped with Realtek WLan 802 .11b/g (RTL8187B) card. You can download the Realtek page directly or portal Toshiba Wlan driver:

  • I run a Mac Pro with El Capitan and iMovie 11 will not recognize my camcorder Sony FDR-AX35P 4 K

I run a Mac Pro with El Capitan. iMovie 11 will not recognize my camcorder Sony FDR-AX45P 4 K. He keeps asking connect a camera.

iMovie 11 (version 9) supported cameras include not all models Sony FDR.  iMovie 10 supports a number of FDR-AXxx models however does not list your a see particular: iMovie support cameras - Apple Support

There are a number of problems of running iMovie 11 under El Capitan, particularly with still pictures appears.  (It does not supports video 4K).  I recommend try iMovie 10.1.2 which you should be able to get in for free or may already have in your applications folder.  Although your camera model in particular is still not listed, I would expect it would probably work, and failing that you should be able to read files directly from the SD card if you put in an SD card reader.

I watch the DVD yesterday and he played upward halfway through and almost jerky. Ejected and thought no more of him now, the player will not recognize any disc, be it video or sound. I tried a system restore but still the same thing that it is not read disks. Any help appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi quietly,

If your CD/DVD drive doesn't work, how do you have a system restore?

Is the CD/DVD drive listed in Device Manager correctly or you see a yellow exclamation mark on it?

Maybe the lens is dirty and must be cleaned with a Microfiber cloth. Open try CD/DVD and try to clean the lens with a clean Microfiber cloth.

  • Satellite L30 will not recognize battery

    Hi guys

Having a problem with my battery.

The battery itself is not so old and works in another machine. My current L30 for some reason any will not recognize the battery. When the captain came out of the computer does not use the battery. It sometimes happens with a bright orange at the front as if his load, but he never goes green.

Other times where the battery icon is in the lower right corner, it has a cross through the battery icon as if it does not exist.
    All ideas

Remove the battery and connect your laptop to the power running, start Windows and when the OS is fully charged, put the battery in the place again.

    The battery is correctly recognized?
