  I guess there is not enough power on the USB ports and external devices may not work correctly. It is not easy to say why this happens, but there may be a problem of welding.

  I can understand you mate, but have you contacted Toshiba service center again? You should speak with the technicians and explain the situation. I put t know what they did, do you know that?

  Cleaning of the laptop is still a good idea but if it doesn't work maybe the thermal compound must be renewed. So ask a technician for help laptop.

  By the way: what OS are you using? You can use the same problem with the factory settings and preinstalled display driver?

• Satellite L300D-13s, crashed and primer not

  I received an alert on my Toshiba L300D-13 s via Toshiba Tempro alerts to download the latest version of the BIOS updated. I downloaded the update and installation, during installation the PC crashed and froze completely lost power for about 30 seconds.

  Since this laptop will not start, power that the battery is and plug lights are turned on, also when I press the power button, the fan starts and the lights on the keyboard flash but then nothing. The laptop does nothing the fan works for a short period and then turns off.

  I was using my laptop just as usual, plugged in and charge, when he spontaenously started running on the battery. I made sure all connections of the cord (output plug, cord box, plugged in the power cord and plug for laptop) were very good, tested on another plug and checked the cord for all internal or weak points - each five-by-five seemed obvious. I can't run a check of the battery because he does not have to be plugged in to the AC adapter. The problem seems to be with the battery or adapter - the absurd rate with which the laptop uses power would seem to indicate that the battery, but the fact that the computer will not "plug-in" suggests that it is the adapter - but as far as I know, it's somewhere inside the laptop computer between the two. I prefer not to spend money on both, espcially if the problem is neither. Any suggestions?

  There are a number of problems of running iMovie 11 under El Capitan, particularly with still pictures appears.  (It does not supports video 4K).  I recommend try iMovie 10.1.2 which you should be able to get in for free or may already have in your applications folder.  Although your camera model in particular is still not listed, I would expect it would probably work, and failing that you should be able to read files directly from the SD card if you put in an SD card reader.

  Is the CD/DVD drive listed in Device Manager correctly or you see a yellow exclamation mark on it?
