It is said: (bootmgr is missing / BSoD - STOP: 0 x 00000050, 0x0000000E7, much more different BSoD code.)

I m thinking that my HARD drive was broken, but when I run recovery files for my important files on my drive HARD he runs, after getting my file too big problem is, I can t reformat or reinstall windows 7 because it always BSoD or sometimes Bootmgr is Missing...

Can someone help me for my problem, I always portable difficulty of office, but this case I m crazy!

    Hi Sebasian

I use very long books and I've never updated the BIOS if not necessary. What laptop works well, OS stabile, why should I do it? I don t care if new BIOS update is available or not. I've always been skeptical about the updates to the BIOS. That's just my opinion.

As far as I know, it is not possible to downgrade the version of the BIOS without special tools and it can be done by service partners. It is not easy to tell if the BIOS is responsible for this, but if possible, try to send us illustrated if BSOD errors.

If I were you I backup all important data and reinstall the recovery image, configure OS for my needs, and make sure that everything is clean pre-installed. My experience with BSOD were always related software.

    Hello

The son laptop works well 24/7 If you use the local cable network on web access, but as soon as we install Wifi it crashes on a regular basis (2 or 3 times an hour) with BSOD error messages - normally those helps Microsoft cant (via the event viewer report) with but it is often talking about Toshiba phone services but no solution.

Tried two (netgear) pcmcia & usb (agere) wifi cards - exactly same problem can not maps.

In desperation re-formatted & resettled Xp & all drivers Toshiba of original Cd of Tosh, then Xp Sp2 & then all the updates/fixes engineering including the bios from site Web of Tosh. Still crashes.

If the software has - v installed or not makes no difference.

A 512 extra ram on top of 256 original.

    Any ideas?

Please believe me that it is not easy to say why the BSOD appears!
From my personal experience, that the BSOD can occurs because of the problem of critical software, or because of the problem of equipment.

In your case, it looks like a hardware problem (this is my personal opinion)
Generally, the laptop should work with the external WLan USB card. I put t see no reason why it shouldn't work t.

You said that you have updated the RAM on this laptop, I noticed on many laptops than similar issues after a RAM upgrade.

For example; I inserted the new 1 GB RAM on my old Satellite and received a BSOD. I used a compatible but the BSOD appeared sometimes.
After the passage of the modules to another location memory my laptop works properly!

Please check this box. Maybe you could check if the same thing happens with your old module!

    Good luck

  • Re: Satellite A200 - start with BSOD

    Hello.

I have a Satellite A200 which I had for about 18 months. I recently installed a burning software and as soon as it was completed a blue screen was displayed telling me the computer had been shut down to prevent damage.

It then restarts automatically and I try to log on, but after about 15 seconds, it goes the same blue screen and reboots again. I tried booting in safe mode but that doesn t help.

I m not really competent computer so I m not sure how to proceed.

If you have any advice really id appreciate it.

I think that if you can also boot into safe mode, you need to reinstall Windows. He s strange if your computer only shows BSOD after installing the burning software, but however, I think that there is no other way.
Do you have what burning software installed?
Maybe it s a virus and is not a problem of the burning software.

So to use the recovery disk and reinstall Windows. The HARD disk is reformatted completely then backup your data first if you can put the HARD drive in an external enclosure.

I have this message at the start of my laptop U500-17: not enough space in runtime area. And after that ask me to press F1 to continue, but nothing happen, and start the windows does not work. I'm trying to get into the Bios, but I have some error and nothing happen. What should I do?

In my opinion, you need to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. I'm afraid that your BIOS is troublemaker and they should Flash the BIOS of Mr. Unfortunately, you can not do this alone.
For owners of Toshiba laptop offer updates of BIOS Win only. With other words, it can be started as a small application for Windows operating system running.

I have a Satellite L510 purcahsed with Vista home premium, but when I try to install XP Professional it screens just as it tries to start windows and blue right after the installation of the part of pilots to the beginin.

Anyone has an idea why this would happen?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I m a bit confused now... When you get exactly the BSOD? After complete installation of Windows or after that?
By the way: BSOD code what you get exactly?

I often read on codes of BSOD when installing XP so I guess that you didn't use the correct driver SATA. You need the Storage Manager to properly install Windows and you can find this driver on the Toshiba site.

By the way: you can also use the forum search to find similar topics.

    Hello

    > It recognizes my service provider, but does not recognize my security key
First you should check if you use the same WLan encryption.
If you use a wrong WLan encryption so your encryption key will not match too.

Second, you must update the Wlan driver.
In many cases, this can solve many problems of WLan

    Hey Buddy,

I think that you can't do anything more. In my opinion, you did everything write and now it s time for professional help because it seems to be a malfunction of equipment that should be checked to a service center.

You should contact the guy and ask for help. I think that everything can be clarified with them.

In addition, you can access data from another PC. You only need an external HARD drive enclosure that creates an external HARD drive.
And maybe you can keep the HARD drive at home if the service center don t need.

  • Satellite P10 - beginning of recovery with Windows 98 disc

Having just bought a new PC to decided to clean the old a because it does not work well and often breaks down. I started to run the cd-rom recovery (startup pc, press and hold C, etc.) and the first screen showed a message on * from Windows 98 *! I quickly abandoned the process, and there is no change to my PC.
As my old PC (Satellite P10) came with * Windows XP Home * I was surprised by the reference to Windows 98.

Can someone explain what is happening? I'm afraid to continue with the restoration.

    Hi weematt_1,

I m not 100%, of course, but as far as I know it of normal that you see from Windows 98 for a short period because the installer of recovery is BACK/WIN98 founded but that doesn t mean Windows 98 will be installed.

If the recovery disk contains Windows XP will be installed, but Setup of recovery based image on the BACK and if Windows 98 starts.

You should try it! I'm pretty sure because as far as I know the same thing happened to me on my older Toshiba laptop.

  • Satellite L510 - PC Health Monitor - could not get the Type of Bios

    Hi guys,.

I m appeal for some help and hope that some of you experts out there may be able to help me!

My laptop is a Satellite L510 bought November 2009
    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit
The version of the BIOS/Date: INSYDE, 1.30, 08/05/2009

    Problems:
1 ReelTime (worm: 1.0.04.0) TC00210100H stopped working about 6 months ago, so I uninstalled it.
    2 PC Health Monitor (worm: 1.4.0.0) TC00148300O

Value Added Package: Worm: 1.2.25 (TC00214700E)

For a couple of weeks stop would take a little longer than before and last weekend he just stopped even if the battery is fully charged.

I had a bit of a job to resume but I finally did, I came to the conclusion even if the hard drive was not.

I then tried to open the PC Health Monitor, but this error appeared impossible to get the type of bios and obviously wouldn t open. I uninstalled PCHM programs and features and then ran TC00148300O.exe of
C:/Program Files / Toshiba / TOSAPINS / COMPS1 / TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor - 1.4.0.0, it seemed something was going on but ultimately nothing has.

I dropped while I needed to sort first on the hard drive. Long story short, the hard drive has been replaced by a SSD 840 EVO 250 GB by a friend of TI at work.

I prefer like to get ReelTime and PCHM working again correctly troubleshooting (with your help) that I put t really want to restore back provided that the factory, but if I have to...

If I have explicit instructions on how to do that would be a big help (if necessary I can also get my friend to help me).

If I n t give any other specific information that you need please ask. I apologize for this long post, but thanks to anyone who responds.

    Hello

If you replaced the HARD drive I recommend you to install original recovery image and start using your machine with the factory settings. After that it all will again be OK. Install important Windows updates current, your important software and I think that everything will be OK again.

Software related questions can sometimes be very complicated. All you can try to do is remove pre-installed application, restart the computer and try to install it again.

On BIOS I can just say that you shouldn't change anything.

One last thing: I don t know how important ReelTime and PC Health Monitor are for you, but I removed the two applications on my system. In my opinion there is no much help from both of them, but they CPU utilization for the unnecessary process.

  • Satellite C655D - problem with recovery

    Hello
I have the Satellite C655D-S5515 with no additional DVD.
I want it back or fabric.
When, during boot press 0, not getting no RECOVERY option not only choose the operating system (Windows 7 only).
How can I make laptop recovery?

At first, I must say that since a long time, Toshiba and many other manufacturers of laptop also, doesn t offer disk facility with new laptops. Recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and the laptop owner should create backup recovery, recovery media creation. Its operation is clearly described in the document s user manuals.

In General, when your laptop has a factory settings and changes nothing, you should be able to begin the installation of HARD drive recovery. I don't know what the problem with your machine and what is the reason why this option is not available, but what you need now is the installation of recovery disc.

If you don't you should be able to order it. For making this visit https://support.toshiba.com/repair?orderType=SFF

  • Satellite L510 - mouse WLan late when you're connected Dynadock

    Hello world

Basics: Toshiba Satellite L510 laptop computer (about 3.5 years) - two USB 2 ports and one esata/USB2 port
    Windows 7

In the last two weeks, I bought and plugged:
1 Benq screen (via DVI - VGA adapt to the Dynadock)
2 Logitech M515 Couch wireless mouse (using the Microsoft drivers and no program Logitech)
    3 Dynadock U3.0 - model n ° PA3927A-1PRP
Installation CD: Version 1.1 / DisplayLink Software version 7.x

The programs and associated (now) the Dynadock drivers:
    DisplayLink Core Software 7.0.43526.0
    Display USB TOSHIBA 7.043577.0 drivers
    DisplayLink Corp (MEDIA) 17/09/2012
    DisplayLink Corp. (net) 26/07/2012 6.3.40526.0
DisplayLink Corp (USB display adapters) 04/09/2012 7.0.41409.0

My problem is that when the Dynadock is connected I have terrible lag mouse when you browse web pages and especially when I'm surfing ebay.
I have disabled the touchpad (stays powered off when the wireless mouse is connected), also have the screen Benq display and notebook computers.

As I said in the topic this frustrating lag occurs only when the dock is connected (via the esata port). I am at a loss at how to solve this problem and don't know what else to do, I have little experience with computers about where to look and what to try (to) etc.

If more info ask please! Any future assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Small WLAN receiver is connected to the USB port of the laptop directly or perhaps on Dynadock USB ports?
