  In your case, it could be that the fan cable to the motherboard could be defective. Thus, you´ve has already removed it, just so it again, remove the fan and check if the cables and connectors are OK.

  If the fan or the cable is damaged, then replace the fan. IMHO the bearings could be faulty too, so it's another reason to replace this fan (and the fan is really NOT very expensive)

  The fan at the back of the computer seems fine no lights when the CPU is running...

  Nobody knows if this will be quickly resolved... I raised a few applications support with Toshiba in the hope that it will make a difference.

My machine is new, so I knew it wasn't dust on the fan, but it was really boring after being so quiet when first bought. In other words, a new module was probably more quickly while the original and there reason for overheating.

  Enter the BIOS settings and disable Wake up on LAN.
