Satellite L750-176 - Bluetooth installation fails

Hello
I tried to turn on bluetooth via FN + F8 on Windows 7. After allowing the system tries to install the bluetooth driver Bluetooth stack. When installing, I get an error message "could not turn on Bluetooth monitor. Please activate the Communication of wireless switch located on one side of the main unit. »
There is no switch on the computer toshiba laptop!

After that, I have to cancel the installation. I already took a peek in the forum, but didn t find a solution.
I have already restored the image original Toshiba Windows 7 and reinstalled the packet filter bluetooth and battery bluetooth but this didn t the problem fix.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Thanks Mario

Hello

The laptop seems to be equipped with a combo of Atheros Wlan card. This combo card also supports BT connectivity.
But before install you the BT stack you must install first the filter of Bluetooth driver Package that can be downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page.
This very important.

By the way: you are right. There is no switch to turn on the WLan. You must use the FN + F8 to activate / disable the WiFi or BT

  • Satellite L750-176 - FAN began to operate in time continuously

    Hello

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750-176.

Recently, the fan started to operate at peak continually, even without any task running (only system tasks).

I had this problem in the past, but has always resolved itself after a while.

Is not an overheating problem, since different temperatures are consistent.
It has Windows 8 OS and all drivers are up to date.

Thanks for your help and sorry for the bad English

    Paolo.

Hmm the fan is controlled by the BIOS.
Fan table containing the info how a cooling module must work, is stored in the BIOS

Try to configure the BIOS to the default settings.
Also, remove the AC adapter and the battery. Press and hold the button for about 30 seconds and then reconnect the two parts.

To be honest I m not very well if this procedure would solve the problem but it of certainly worth a try.

  • Satellite C55t-B5349 - Bluetooth pairing fails

    I have a C55t-B5349 installed with windows 8.1.

I'm trying to pair a Plantronics headset to the laptop using Bluetooth.
The system doesn't have the option in the settings of the PC. So I tried to install the battery Bluetooth for Windows, found on the pilot site. While loading the driver a dialogue box appears asking to turn on the device.

I turned on the Plantronics headset but there is no confirmation that the device was found and the driver installation progress meter does not advance until the end I cancelled out of the facility because it seems that the driver does not load if a device is not found at this stage of the installation of the driver. View programs in Control Panel displays the battery Bluetooth as charge however.

The system does not find my Plantronics M25 helmet when try again matching by launching the Bluetooth Wizard.
What happens instead, is that the driver installation dialog box reappears at the same position of progress than during an attempt to original installation.

In addition the system still does not display the Bluetooth option in the settings of the PC. I have restart after the procedure as well.
The Windows Bluetooth stack is reported however Version in the list 9.10.32 programs.

Do I need to install another driver or another solution, to get the Bluetooth option work?

I found the specs of the laptop on the Toshiba USA product page.

This unit is NOT supported Bluetooth module internal... so you can not pair the BT device

The Toshiba tech support when no help at all. so is locked HD or BIOS, and is it possible to unlock them so I can install the o/s?

IV tested the drive by hooking up a PC desk top and installing windows like that, but as soon as I put the drive in the laptop it comes up with no installed new o/s

Can anyone give any help... or even indices, iv it for a week now and im going crazy.

    Hello

HARD drive is not locked. You can install any OS on the HARD drive.
Usually, the Windows 7 operating system already contains the SATA drivers that are required to see the HARD drive. So it of not necessary to include the SATA drivers while installing Win 7. You said that you have a copy of Windows 7 disc. Is this an original disc for Win 7 complete with functional Microsoft?
I ve installed several times Win 7 on my Toshiba notebooks and didn t need to use SATA drivers

In the BIOS, you have found the SATA controller mode. This should be set to AHCI. You can change this pressing SPACE.
But also the default BIOS settings should do the job.

  • Satellite Pro A200: RIS installation fails - BSOD

    Hello

Someone has already tried to use RIS for laptops Satellite Pro A200 ETA-1 image. I'm getting a BSOD which I think is due to a bad driver (downloaded from the Toshiba site).

Also, can someone tell me where I can find a telephone number for technical support (UK), they seem reluctant to make available on their web site.

    Concerning
    Paul

    Hello

satellite Pro A200 has the controller Intel AHCI-build. It is not included in Windows XP. You will get a bluescreen 0x0000007B proving that XP cannot identify the controller and has no driver for it.
Here is a brief description of how add that driver to your RIS installation:

1 copy all the single files from the Storage Manager Intel ICH - 8 M 32 - Bit floppy in your directory$ $oem $ \Textmode.
If this directory exists you must change your txtsetup.oem file and add/extract the AHCI driver of the file txtsetup.oem of the F6 floppy in it (do not overwrite the txtsetup.oem file in this case!).
If this directory does not exist, you can use the supplied txtsetup.oem file numodified.
Download the floppy F6 Storage Manager here: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/stormng-20070827133046.zip

    2. change your Winnt.sif file (or what you named your answer file) and add or change the following sections:

    [MassStorageDrivers]
    "Intel(r) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)" = oem

    [OEMBootFiles]
    iaAhci.cat
    iaAhci.inf
    iastor.cat

  • Re: Satellite L750D - recovery disk installer fails

So, I bought a L750D Satellite today in a chain store.
They had a double the RAM for free offer.
There is no disk in the packae and when you start the laptop, it goes into windows 7 and asks if you want to install the 32-bit version or 64-bit.
I understand that this example uses a recovery of the windows installation to install the required version.

My problem is that it breaks down. It crashed on the first machine to which I took and it crashed on the second they gave me too much.

Now, I tried to use the Windows 7/repair of my desktop PC Installation disk and that does not work either. A friend suggested I bring the machine, re - install the original 8 GB of RAM and then redo the installation. I suspect that this might be the problem, like rising to 16 GB might be the problem when you use a Windows restore Toshiba seems to have adopted as the ONLY way to install the OS of the computer.

I'll try it tomorrow, but that someone has other suggestions that I desperately need to have this machine work tomorrow.

I read a lot of discussion about this stuff all over the web, but no solution beyond buying a disk recovery tool. Seems a bit of a scam really.

    TIA.

    Hello

First of all, I doubt that the 16 GB of RAM would be supported on this laptop.
Then it was wrong to upgrade to 16 GB of RAM, and I guess that was the problem, why the Windows system can be installed for the first time.

Second: the disks are not part of the package, because all laptops from Toshiba (also from other manufacturers) supports a recovery system. Means that you must create a clean recovery disk if you buy the laptop. There is a Toshiba Recovery Media Creator called tool that creates the recovery disk.

I'm not sure if the recovery files would be still available on disk HARD because you said that you tried to install win 7 using a disc belonging to your desktop PC, so eventually the recovery files are now removed.

However, check if it is possible:

    Otherwise: order the CD here:

  • Stack Bluetooth installation fails

I bought a dongle Bluetooth with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. Software installation is proceeding normally up to the point where it says "Insert the Bluetooth device and click Enter." I do this and stops the installation. I waited until half an hour, but he never went from 56 percent.
I am running Windows 2000 SP4 on a 1 GHz Athlon. A lot of disk space and RAM. Tried to install it several times, even tried to close the firewall. Nothing makes no difference.
    Any suggestions?

So please let me know what USB Bluetooth adapter are you using?

  • The first Installation fails after first Boot of the Satellite L750

    Hello.

I turned on my brand-new Satellite L750 - 04K 010 for the first time tonight (bought new) and start going through the initial setup process for Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation must "Installing devices" and then hung up without activity for about 2 hours, how I decided to restart.

Then I kept getting the error windows installation has failed and would then need to restart the installation process. The computer will restart but kept coming up with the same error and the loop would continue even once.

I have not received the installation discs.

I tried to press F8 to see if the computer repair would work but only gave options to repair the system to a previous state. No Toshiba option was available.

    Help!

    Thanking you in advance,

    Greg

    It's pretty stupid situation now.
If there is no way to launch the installation of recovery once again I recommend your dealer and ask for help. With other words, ask for the replacement of the laptop.

What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and explain the situation. I put t know what they can do for you, but I imagine that you will get a DVD of recovery for the installation of the OS.

Of course I n don't know what the right solution, but I don't see another option for you.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro R830 x 64 with Windows 7.

File downloaded to install the site Web of Toshiba's v80012_T20110809_x64 as dated 18/08/2011 11.53

    Hello

A question: could you please post you completely portable model number?
I'm not quite sure of this model laptop but most of the portable m press a combo of WLan/BT card. This means that a single module shares WiFi and BT connectivity.

In this case its need to install an additional driver like BT filter driver package, but this depends on the module that is installed in the unit.

However, I m wondering why try you to install/upgrade to update this BT stack if it worked correctly in the past

    Hello

I'm not very well why you are not able to install the m VAP.

As mentioned, you should uninstall the old version, then download the new right version of the Toshiba page and run the exe.

In many cases these issues is NOT related to the applications that you are trying to install, but the Windows operating system. especially he confused s upwards and therefore this installation fails.

We had hoped to call each other via video calls, but I can't get the webcam in the laptop for work. I have tried to download the driver from the web camera on the toshiba site and have updated the BIOS, but it made no difference.

I assume that you want to use Skype or some other messenger, right?
For this application, you must not start application pre-installed Webcam. You can even disable the start-up.

Can you please check if cam is recognized and listed correctly in the Device Manager and check if some messenger recognizes cam.
