  Have you tried to uninstall / and / reinstall the audio driver?
  Please do it.

  Audio driver can be downloaded from the European pilot page Toshiba.
  Before installing the new driver, remove the pre-installed sound driver and restart the laptop. After that the installation of the downloaded new driver sound.
  Restart the device and test it.

  Hi, bought my Satellite L750D this morning and played around him.

  Have noticed when I put "sleep" and then wake it up in back, the screen remains dim, almost to the point where you can't see a thing. I end up having to restart, then its fine. Doesn't do it when I select hibernate, all standby mode.

  When I talk with my friends using Skype or Yahoo or no helmet on my side they can hear themselves and that echo that annoying groves loudly and it cuts selves suddenly to appears again.

  I was talking the same way using Toshiba Satellite R20 (XP system) and not had this problem even when I connect sound to my stereo HIFI, I could talk to the other room and listen to other people and didn't hear themselves.

  The same problem is when I got the system Vista and now Windows XP.

  What is the problem?

• Satellite P500 - blue screen on webcam whenever I try to use Skype

  Whenever I try to use Skype all I get is a blue screen where my webcam should be. I checked to see if my webcam doesn't work at all, and all I get is the web cam iniliziation failed Please check device and restart.

  I tried this but nothing helped. I also tried to reinstall the camera and update the drivers. Still nothing.
  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I was told that if I update the BIOS it might be useful, but I also said that this could screw up the laptop completely...

  In front of me, I have Satellite P500 and I use it almost a year now. Since the first day I use it with Win7 preinstalled original and Skype.
  Up to now, I have strength to have one problem with cam or Skype. Everything works fine.

  Are you using the original pre-installed OS? Since when you noticed this problem?
  You can use cam with other applications?
  Cam is listed in Device Manager?

  Do you have the yellow marks in Device Manager?
  Are you sure that you have installed all the drivers?

  Have you installed SP2 or SP3 for Windows XP? You must at least use SP2 for XP.

  And as said Akuma, check the Microsoft KB to the hoftixes. Before you apply this update, you must remove the driver. Otherwise it will not work.

  There you should find an audio driver that could be compatible with the Win SP2.

  Just upgraded my Satellite A80-115 from Windows XP home to Windows XP Pro SP2

  Download all the drivers for the A80 from the site and install. Everything works except for the audio driver, I have no sound coming from the speakers.

  Nothing is cut on the system.

  Realtek AC 97 Audio driver

  Tried the Patch KB888111 from microsoft but still no sound. It's driving me crazy...

  Please help me! 1

  1. download Microsoft's KB835221 hotfix
  2. Remove "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus"
  3. install KB835221
  4. reboot the system
  5 XP automatically detects devices
  6. after that you don't need, but you can install the realtek drivers

  Recently upgraded my Satellite of Windows XP to Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit. After installation, the high definition Audio Device appears in Device Manager.

  Initially, I had an unknown device listed, but that has been resolved by the installation of the pilot site supervisor password utility from Toshiba. Since then, I have experimented with a number of audio drivers without result. Does anyone have advice?

  I downloaded the Conextant 4.8.0.0 pilots, who are not out during installation by saying "Driver Installation Failed: could not find the device for this driver." So now, I'm sitting here without any noise. It's sad. Please help and I'll give you points.

  Why you n t use the Restore tool of the Windows system that would help you to define the operating system back to the point of time at the beginning?

  I guess you deleted the sound/sound driver software and the System Restore tool should help you recover this software.

  Go to start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore
  Then, select choose a different restore point. A choice, a restore point dialog box appears. Choose a restore point and click Next.

  I bought the Satellite Pro L40 about 6 months ago and the speed of the laptop is too slow with windows Vista. So I decided to install an old copy of windows XP that I had purchased earlier. I updated the windows SP3 installation before installing the drivers.

  Now, all the drivers have been installed correctly except the audio driver. I downloaded the XP version of the driver on the toshiba site, but it did not work. So I though that maybe the vista version would work, so I downloaded that. But that no longer works.

  Can someone suggest a solution where I can get the audio driver to work? Preferably without having to get the reinstalled windows again.

  The machine is a Satellite P100 just more than a year, came with Vista installed. No problem until today when Vista SP1 has been automatically downloaded and installed. Now I have no sound from speakers or headphones.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver Conexant Audio Hi-Def to the latest recommended on the Toshiba site.

  I tried to restore to before the time when SP1 was installed.
  I updated the BIOS to the last on the Toshiba site.

  I pulled my hair.

  had to install xp because vista is not good for me. the system does not install sound card drivers, and Device Manager, there is no listed his card.
  I have yellow? marks on "PCI Device" I think it's the soundcard and "network controller".

  I searched this forum and got some results that looked like they can solve the problem, but unfortunately the recommended fix was removed by Microsoft.
