Satellite L775 - 12L refuses to open the SD card

Hello!

I have a recent problem with my laptop L775 - 12L about the SD card reader.

Since yesterday my computer refuses to open the SD card while working always before.
I did nothing with my computer and now when I insert my usual SDHC card 8 GB asks me to format the card.

I just downloaded "Card reader controller" driver site of Toshiba, but nothing has changed.

I'm quite desperate because I'm just back from vacation and I can't wait to download my pictures to my computer.
Could someone help me solve this problem pleeeaaaase?

Thanks in advance!

Virginia

What card you use exactly? Card SD or SDHC card?
As far as I know the handles L775 card reader:
SD 8MB - 2GB and SDHC 4GB - 32GB

So 8 GB SD cards are not supported by card reader.
But SDHC should be supported.

Are you able to format the card in FAT32 format?
Do this and remove the mark of the quick format option

    Hello

    the question is:
Why my Satellite A110-294 does not recognize the wireless card?

I re - install Xp PRO with all the drivers.

I have try all the drivers Wireless: Wlan intel + proset intel atheros wlan + wlesscmgr

I don't understand, can you help me?

    Thank you
    André

    Hello

To my knowledge, the A110-294 uses the Atheros WLan card and therefore the Atheros Wlan dirver should be the right one.

You can find the latest driver for Atheros WLan here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Just a question;
You see the local network card in Device Manager? I mean, you should see an Ethernet controller or an unknown device in the network adapters
The driver is missing, then the device must be marked with a yellow exclamation point

    Hello!

Have you installed the tools and all the other drivers of Toshiba?

Search on the Toshiba site for a BIOS update.
Maybe this can solve the problem.

    Hi smarjit1,

Have you tried different SD cards or just this one SD card? The SD card is probably the problem, what do you think?

In addition, I would like to try an update card reader driver. The most recent driver, you can download on the official website of Toshiba:

  • Satellite L30 - how to open the Wireless card slot to upgrade the Wlan card

Y at - it a special way to open the card slot on a Satellite L30 wireless or should I just use a USB adapter wireless... because the crack is there but I can't open it and USB we're boring.

    Thanks for the help...

    GMC

There is no special way. Just 2 screws...
So, if you have a wireless mini-pci network card, then you can open the lid, insert it and use it. But be sure to unscrew the screw more than necessary. :)

And if you´re not able to open it, then you will need to use your boring usb adapter. ;)

  • Satellite A100 - 02 M: cannot open the local area network to share files and printer - LAN Unplugged

I have an office of another manufacturer which was connected by a wireless network via a Belkin router for a laptop another manufacturers - both running XP.

I have now replaced the other laptop with a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100 - 02 M under Vista Home Premium. While I can still access the Internet from both machines, I can't open the LAN to share files and printers. The laptop shows 'LAN Unplugged' all the time. Any ideas would be accepted with gratitude.

    Ray Freeman

    Hello

    I have no general solution, but I'll try to give some advice solution;
If you want to connect laptop with LAN cable both please make sure that you use a crossover ethernet cable.
In addition, check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager.

You could try updating the LAN driver and remove the NIC in Device Manager to update the installed driver.
After restarting again the operating system should recognize the new (Lan) device and should install it automatically.

  • Satellite L350-S5894 - do not open the Explorer

My laptop detects the network service, but does not open the Explorer raunter

    Hello

Can you please tell me what raunter explore?
Mean you Explorer router or let's say the router configuration menu that view you through Internet Explorer?

In any case, have you checked the TCP/IP settings? Maybe you need static IP addresses
In addition I recommend disabling the firewall and then check it again.

  • Satellite A505-S69803 - how to replace the Wlan card?

Before we get into the details of my problem.
I pulled out a DSL product, set up hundreds of wireless routers. I was a service technician laptop for 3 years for laptops as well.

I picked up a Toshiba, the price is right and so far cause I learn that you get what you pay for.

This machine has a realtek wireless card.
As everyone knows... Realtek is cheaply made of defective material.

Toshiba refuses to replace this card.
I need to buy a new card for this laptop.
    I need to know if it's a mini-pci, half height mini-pci, pci-e, or mini-pci-e card.
I plan to get a processor intel for her.

I also need that white papers for I can remove the wrist cushion / bezel on this camera. They have guides to the user, but unlike other manufacturers of portable, do not have their service manuals available.

Any help to get to this laptop fixed would be appreciated. He is soon out of town with my parents.

    Hi vlad2,.
Realtek is also known to run perfekt Linux - this indicates that the material is not so bad as you think...

Toshiba sells such unity as specified - if you want to have some other hardware choose another model of laptop computer or replace the wlan by yourself...
in case of doubt, that the card is in it, open the door under which lies the card - for a tech notebook pro like you no big deal - and check it out.
replace this part should be easy...

to respond to your complaint: + "Toshiba will not replace this card." +
course than that! If this works, there is no need to replace and you will always get the same thing as the spare part because this model comes with sound...

I don't like to repeat myself, but a mobile technician should be able to take the machine apart (you will ruin your warranty with this action)
Disassemble the caches is a thing of partner service - not for customers...

by the way: "I learn that you get what you pay for" + means what you see is what you get, to spend more money is not bad at all...
You can't get a mercedes for the price of a small car...

and what is your technical problem with the WiFi network?

  • Satellite - WIi 8 - How to use the SD card

I pop my card to build in reader and now what?
Nothing happened and I don't know where to find the answer.

Perhaps you could provide some i.e more details:
What model of laptop do you have exactly?
Have you changed anything in the configuration of the system?
Do you use the Windows system preinstalled by Toshiba?

Usually, if you insert the compatible! SD card in the SD card slot, after little time the SD card should be recognized by the system and should be visible in windows Explorer

Windows Vista Professional Edition loaded as my new OS for the studies and course work. Now my display driver no longer works correctly.

Device Manager displays the following message on the graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700: 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) »

Have search everywhere on the web for solutions but limited knowledge prevents me to get a positive result. There must be someone out there who can help...

    Hi BigPappaDom,

In my opinion to get rid of this, you need to reinstall the display driver. I have checked the site of Toshiba Satellite P30 is no Vista driver available. This means that you must find yourself to get all the drivers. :(

I searched a bit and you should try to install the Satellite P200D display driver. She also equipped graphics card ATI and this driver must be compatible with your other oldest:

  • Satellite M70-375: where to find the SD card reader driver?

Where can I find the drivers for the SD card reader? It is not in the list of all the drivers of the M70 series.

I checked the s information about this device and it seems that the Satellite M70-375 has a number PSM70E-xxx.
First you must choose the category good pilot because there are two sets of Satellite M70.
In addition there is no own available SD card driver. You must install the driver cardbus.
This driver is also responsible for the use of the SD card.
