Thus, software such as recordIt does not work.

The driver being used is 'Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 841S'
That's right, so far. But it's not burn CD/DVDs.

A have you noticed this problem as well?

Thank you.

Hello

I think that it s a lower upper filter question and I think that you could solve this sequel to this instruction step by step.

First remove the player of ODD (CD/DVD) from the list in Device Manager.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Finally, you must restart the device.

Once again, windows will recognize the STRANGE

Have you checked if the drive is listed in the BIOS?
    Check this please.

    Hello

First check to see if the new HARD drive is listed and recognized in the BIOS. It must appear on the first page of the BIOS.

If his list, and save the changes by pressing F10 and access to the BIOS.

I'm not very well if you need the SATA drivers because AFAIK Win 7 should already contain a standard SATA driver from m.

However, the SATA drivers are on Intel page.
You should look for Intel Storage Manager.

You can use nLite software to create a new XP CD and include drivers SATA (Intel Storage Manager) on this new CD of XP.
The nLite is a freeware software and you can find and download from many Web sites.

    Google is the key ;)

  • New DVD drive not recognized on my Satellite Pro 4600

    Hi all

I recently bought an engraver of DVD in NEC ND-6650 nine.
This drive is NOT recognized by my Satellite Pro 4600 at all - neither Windows 2000 nor in the BIOS (v 2.60). BIOS updates higher than the 2.60 version are not provided.
Does that mean I can forget about using the new writer in my old notebook?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Nils

    Hi Nils,

I suspect that your new drive may be not be compatible with your laptop. Like all scanners to your new drive will be configured as slave or master (or CSEL possible), and this configuration should match your laptop.

Usually your hard drive is configured as master on IDE channel 0 with optical drive is the slave on the same channel device. However, you may find that your optical drive is configured as master on the IDE 1 channel.

Normally the setting is preconfigured by the manufacturer so you will need to check both the conficuration of your new drive and the configuration of your original drive to make sure they are the same.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A30-514: BIOS is not recognizing the CD/DVD or HARD drive

Hi I'm having a little trouble with my Toshiba Satellite A30 friends. The hard drive died recently, and the cd tray was damaged.
I found an exact replacement unit and we have a new hard drive, but the Bios is not recognizing the hard drive or Cd/DVD unit.

I installed Windows Me via my own laptop and boot from the hard drive of the computer's hard disk, but it still does not recognize the DVD even if Windows does, and it is fully operational.

This prevents me to install windows XP, the operating system it is. If anyone can help, I'd be much obliged, too, I flashed the bios with V1.80.

    Hello

It is the first time I heard about this issue. The Bios doesn't recognize the drive but Windows is possible use it t.
Why suggest that peut t BIOS recognizes the drive? Is it not possible to boot from the drive?
Check if the IDE controller is enabled and the Boot section. The CD/DVD drive should be selected and activated.

I have a Satellite M70 and I have a Western Digital external hard drive.

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba Recovery disk? Normally with this record everything should work fine because it s pre-tested and specifically designed for your laptop.
    Check this box!

In the worst cases, your HARD drive is faulty and you need a new. The HARD drive seems to have random failures.

    History:

I bought a Satellite Pro L40, it came with windows vista. I can't stand vista windows for obvious reasons. so I formatted the HARD drive. I have a copy of windows XP.

IV ' e read on the internet that I need Intel storage driver manager...

IA´ve got the driver, he got on a floppy, and it does not, because when I start to install XP, it works (after pressing F6 & choose the driver to install). I come to the part of license agreement, press F8 accept...

I select the partition I want to use (in format completely on vista). It starts to load more stuff... so he said "PLEASE INSERT LABELD - INTEL MATRIX STORAGE MANAGER DRIVER - DISK IN DRIVE A:" "PRESS ENTER WHEN READY."

    HI Paul,.

I think that your first priority will be to remove the virus from your laptop. The following link contains the virus details: -.

    http://securityresponse.Symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/W32.Desktophijack.html

You are shown in the BIOS to CD-ROM? If yes then set to be the first selectable boot device and you should be able to load your recovery disk and restart it.

  • cd/DVD drives not recognized by the computer.

Some full scans there is our operating system to xp does not recognize our 2 dvd/cd players after a full scan, by security essentials.

We went into the control panel to check the cd/dvd drivers... and they were gone.  Then we went in the 'my computer' window, and neither one of them were there either.  It's like they were never there.  We can somehow reset something to collect, to use?

  • CD/DVD drive not recognized by Windows Vista

I installed a suite of burningb of CD and DVD on my Toshiba (under Vista Home Premium). My CD/DVD drive appeared more in the computer and was no longer functional. I deleted the program I installed and apparently caused the problem, but it did not help. I have read through the help of Microsoft (929461, 314060) documents and used the Fix - It utility. Also unsuccessful. I discovered the response of Martin, the technical support engineer made on May 5, 2009. I followed his instructions with great success. However, my question now is this: I have still some remains of the problem left over. I get an error message at startup saying, 'InstaBurn UDF driver is not installed correctly. Run the InstaBurn installation program. ' InstaBurn is part of the suite of the copy (hotpics by Nova Development Corp.).  I also have an error message of my reader DVD Toshiba saying that the DVD player does not work - although it is. I played a DVD as a test on it after that I followed the instructions above. How can I remove these error messages annoying that aren't accurate?  Would appreciate any information about this minor - but annoying problem.

    Hello

Do a Restore Point then you can go back to where you are if necessary although you should not have to:

How to make a Vista system restore

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
