Satellite M30 - adding 802. 11a wireless card

Hello all :)

I intend to replace my Intel 2200BG card Atheros 5002 X ABG. The problem is if the build in the antenna is a complaint for review. If this isn't the case, then the problem is how to adapt to its new antenna correctly and safely. I saw on the Internet of the Nice video guides on the installation of its new antenna for laptops IBM, but could find everything for Toshiba. There are guides available for Toshiba?

Thanks in advance for all advice.

PS My laptop model is M30-106.

Hello

As far as I know it of not very difficult connect WiFi PCI card. At the bottom of the unit, you will find a Mini PCI cover. Here, you connect the antenna cables.
A white cable normally goes to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro L450D-12 X - Wireless card in the process of disappearance

    Hi guys,.

So, I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro (L450D-12 X) in my possession.

She has 8 installed inside windows (but came pre-installed with windows 7).

The problem I face is that, suddenly, the wireless still endangered, literally as no wireless card exists - but there is a wireless card.

I was able to fix it by reinstalling windows 8 OS. It worked only for a little while and then it disconnects / disappears. No wireless in the "map settings" icon Only the "ethernet" adapter
Cannot search or browse for wireless network either.

Since the fix above was not permanent, started the service that controls the card wireless among others who are associated with what this either wireless (don't remember the name) - it worked again.

Now it has stopped. Well, I'm not with the laptop at the time, I said there and all attempts to restart the service via the phone, does not provide any solution.

    Any ideas guys?

    All responses appreciated.

Problem is that your laptop model is NOT supported for Win8.
What WLAN driver have you installed?
    Where did you find?

I am looking to buy one to replace it, but I don't know where to find the wireless card. Can someone guide me please where to install the wireless card?

    Thank you

At the bottom of the unit, you will find a cache location WLan.
Under this coverage, you will find a place for the insertion of the card.

In the user manual, you can find a beautiful photo. It shows the right position...

You are right. Your laptop has Broadcom BCM94313 card inside and there is WIFI and Bluetooth card combo (11 Wifi b/g/n + BT v2. 1 + EDR).

  • Atheros AR9285 802.11 wireless card does not work.

Wireless for my laptop HP that atheros AR9285 recently stopped detecting my router while I have my Netgear G54 WGR614v10 encryption card any type of security, I chose, but it detects my router if I switch off my encryption.

I read a post from Paul_Tikkanen Atheros WLAN Driver corrects connection issues with many new routers (Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc.), I downloaded the driver and installed it but it has not made a difference.

I also watched to make sure that bluetooth was not on, I read somewhere that it might interfere with my wireless card, but it was not on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you

    Windows 7

OK, this is strange, and then we will have to check each setting security on your router and your network card to make sure they match. Access your routers webpage bios and go to network security, if possible on your PC to cable and take note of the security settings and compare them with the security of network adapter settings.

    ~ Bios of router ~
    * Usually, which would be the mode key staff/Enterprise wpa or wep.
    * Then check that your type of encryption on the router security example would be AES or TKIP.
    * And then check your 802.11 mode.

    ~ NIC ~.
    * go to start button or charms right mouse click Select Network option and click. * highlight of the WiFi adapter which is having right mouse questions click.
    * then choose status to the next screen, click Properties wireless.
    * then select Security tab, try this on your laptop which works as well to make sure everything fits.

Something must have went wrong with the installation of the driver. I think you need to remove or back the driver, restart your laptop and let windows update or HP support assistant app find the right driver for you if it does not.

  • HP Pavilion 14-n001tx: replacement of Mediatek MT7630E 802.11 wireless card bgn

    Hello

Forgive me if I don't sift through the whole forum, but I was not able to get enough information.

I currently own a 14-n001tx Pavilion, which has a Mediatek MT7630E 802.11 bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi + Bluetooth Combo Adapter 4.0. The problem is that I recently got a router AC and so seeks to update my wireless card. However, I read that it might be a white list of cards that are approved by the BIOS?

In the maintenance manual, only the following devices are in the white list:

    Intel Wireless-N 7260BN 802.11 bgn 2 x 2 Wi - Fi + adapter combo BT 4.0

MediaTek MT7630E 802.11 Wi - Fi adapter and adapter of Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0 bgn

    Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11 bgn adapter Wi - Fi 675794 - 001 Ralink RT3290LE 802.11 bgn 1 × 1 Wi - Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001

    Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn adapter Wi - Fi 709848-001

As you can probably see, there is not able AC of maps here. However, I would like to ask if the whitelist is still applicable for new devices, and whether it would be possible for me to replace my card with a dual band AC compatible one with Bluetooth as well?

Thank you for taking the time to read the block of text up there!

    Hello:

HP seems to have deleted the whitelists BIOS of HP notebooks made in the last 18 months or so.

I don't think you would have any problem installing this card in your notebook AC model, assuming that it has two antennas wireless connected to the current map (some model laptops only have an antenna connected to single band cards).

    Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2 x 2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001.

    http://www.Amazon.com/710661-001-Intel-wireless-AC-7260-PCI-Express/DP/B00PDLCFL8

    (ships from China).

The service manual indicates this is a replaceable part by the user, so access to the card should not be too difficult.

  • Satellite Pro A100 model PSAA3E wireless card driver

    Hello

Hope someone can help, I can't get a driver to work for the card wireless in this laptop, I tried some different drivers now and none doesn't seem to work, I always left with a yellow question mark in device for Ethernet Manager comtroller (and PCI device).

Appreicate if someone could point me in the right direction, I have tried all the drivers on the Toshiba driver download site with no luck. I have to go to the website of intel, perhaps? If Yes, how can I find out what model Intel wireless card I have.

    Appreciate any help

    Thank you.

Are you sure that you need a WLan driver?

Ethernet controller can be a LAN card too.

First check that the card has been recognized in the Device Manager.
If the network adapter is then you certainly need a WLan card.

I think you should check out if you can install the Atheros WLan driver because it might be possible that your laptop was equipped with Atheros 11 b/g wireless network card.

Check out this page of WLan from Toshiba:

  • Are satellite M30-801 - there new wireless network cards?

I can't connect to our network via wifi, because the sign used by the net is WPA2.

It does not resemble the current map supports the level of registration even if I updated the drivers. I would like to know if there is a patch that I can download or if I need a new card and if so what model recommend you.

    Hello

WLan encryption is hardware based and you cannot turn it on update driver.
If you want to use the newest WLan encryption, then you will need to use the WLan card that would provide support for these WLan encryption.

In your case, I recommend use on USB WLan key.
There is a better way to do mobile WPA2 compatible.

Some unknown device is listed in Device Manager?

To be honest, this issue is not known to me but if it please try to set the BIOS to default settings and check again.
I put t know if this will help but you can back up all your data and install again recovery image to check if the same problem persists with the factory settings.

  • Satellite P300-23F-mini-PCI Wireless card Replace?

Question: would it be possible to replace the card of wireless mini-PCI Intel 5100AGN with version 4965AGN or 5300AGN?

The thing is, recently I bought the Satellite P300-23F. Great laptop. Apart from one thing. I use the Intel 5100AGN wireless. Type of damage, the rest of the components used to build this laptop are high-end. I would have liked to see the 5300AGN of even the old 4965AGN adapter instead. These are both a bit more expensive, but still on the market for the price difference is a simple slice of $20. The 5100AGN TX is only 150 Mbit, which is half as fast as the two other Intel wireless modules. In general, a lot of people seem to have problems with the 5100AGN, seems to be a troublesome product altogether.

Performance of the real world of the 5100AGN on a Linksys WRT54G is around 15 Mbps (1, 8 MB/s). My other computer laptop, equipped with a 4965AGN will be double that in the same circumstances. Tried all the drivers I could find, but the above values are the best I can get.

    Hello

I think that this should be possible, but you must use Mini-PCI cards.
The antenna WLan that is placed behind the screen provides two sons; black & white.
A white cable normally goes to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

  • TouchSmart 520-1070UK: if I can replace the 802.11n wireless card in my 1070UK 520 for a dual band

I've been updated by my cable company to a router to speed broadband to 200 'up to '. My old iPad connects to new 5G

band but the HP Touchsmart is the single band 802.11n equipped Ralink card.

Can I physically replace or add anything to connect to 5G?

    Hi there @tiggerchris

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for help on how to replace your existing wireless network adapter or add something to support the 5 GHz band. I'm happy to help you with this.

Service and maintenance guides available and put at level of guides for this system offer no wireless adapters. The simplest solution I can suggest would be an adapter USB dual band WLAN.  There are many benefits to this choice. It is easier to install, it's easy to transfer to another device if necessary, and they can be very economical.

I'd say a bit of research online for this type of device, to see what is available.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but please do not forget that your WLAN is visible for your laptop. If the laptop can see the router please check the WLAN settings.

Sorry, but for the moment it is not possible to say something concrete.

I read in several places that HP has ceased the practice of the 'white list' wireless cards.  Does anyone know when this stopped?  You want to put an Intel 7260ac in my Envy 15 laptop.

Certainly not having a white list because I know that the series of 15 t-j000 has no whitelist and yours is newer than those. You will be able to install the 802.11ac wireless card. If you need assistance.
