Satellite M500 - won't work properly and need general help

Hi, very new for the use of the laptop wireless. bought a m500. try to go through the manual is very tiring because can not distinguish areas. having a constant problem with:

using the satellite. walk away for a while and the screen goes black. learn that he is hibernating. should return simply touching pad touch or mobile mouse. This is not the case. all freezes and have force closing down. have done it a million times in the past two weeks. supplier contacted like touchpad wouldn't work at all, you should download the drivers but discovered touchpad simply disabled by mistake with button located below the space bar and ables 'fn and f9' set it again. Please tell us if you can.

Toshiba has also contacted and they tried to tell me to make a back up and reset to the factory settings as a software problem could do that. the only thing we have on it is itunes. everything else is standard folders and applications.

In addition, never made a backup of b4. How long it takes it and you can use satellite while safeguarding. ?

Hey chucky,.

To be honest, your ad is not easy to understand and to information that I get bored as your operating system.

Theoretically it could be a software problem, perhaps a virus or something else so it doesn't make a difference how many programs you have installed.

Satellite M500 doesn t seem to be a European model so I put t know exactly how HDD recovery works, but let me give you a little advice: just take your Toshiba recovery disc. This disc contains an image for the factory settings and with these settings, everything should work properly.

In my opinion if you get the tips to restore factory Toshiba ASP settings, you should do this! ;)

This is not something to do with installed programs is not something to do with the browser settings.
restarting the computer works in a short time, but that is a long time, it's really annoying because I use this for work and study!

    > is there a permanent solution to this problem?

The question is what causes this problem? Is it related hardware or software related issue?

Why n t connect a USB keyboard just to check if the same would happen?

In case the USB keyboard would work fine, I guess that the internal keyboard failures and the solution would be a simple replacement of the defective part.

    Hello

Maybe an update of the rather could be useful. But when you do, you should look at www.realtek.com for the manufacturer of the sound card driver.
And you should seek the latest codecs which are probably most of the problems if it is not installed correctly. Maybe you need to install the codec pack k - lite (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm) which is really good and covering the most need of codecs.

  • Satellite L650 is not working properly

Hello, so I bought toshiba satellite about 4 years ago. A few months ago, I spoke with my sister on SKype and suddenly everything crashed, so I tried CTRL + ALT + DEL as usual in a situation like this, but I did not work so I had to turn off manually. Then when I tried your turn on again the system has been loading for a long period of time and finally charged after 6 hours. I wanted to open Skype, but there was just a blank white page instead of Skype. After a few minutes, I realize that all microsoft programs work (Excel, Word, Power Point).

I couldn't write anything in word and I didn't have the toolbar in one of the above programs. I managed to talk with my sister on facebook, Skype, but I have another problem occurred. Just after I turned on my laptop and when I open the web browser for the first time that it overwrites on the first web page and I need to close the web browser turn new and then it works. Two days ago my web browser began to crash more often and now I don't know what to do with it. I have tried factory reset, but for some reason, pressing '0' key did not work at all, I hear the beep, but then the system just load normally. I don't know if I can do the factory via bios reset and I don't know what to do with...

My laptop model is Toshiba Satellite L650-1MC.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.
