Satellite P10 won't read SD card
I have a 4 GB SD card that works fine in my Palm TX PDA.
When I place it in the slot of my laptop, it appears in Windows Explorer if says:
"The disk in drive E is not formatted. Want to format it now?
When I click on 'Yes', he says "the disk in drive E cannot be formatted.
I formatted it on my PDA and it contains files MP3 that plays perfectly on the PDA.
Any ideas?
Hello
So, it could be that the SD card is not compatible in your machine and which could be the reason why the map wouldn be recognized correctly. You can do the following: try an external USB card reader and check if the card is then recognized by your computer.
Maybe it would also be a good idea to check the drivers download site and check if some new drivers are available for your machine:

See you soon

Satellite P10-304: replacing a WLan card - can I the same WiFi chip?
Hi all
got a satellite P10-304 of a companion here.
He said the free thread never worked on it and hes had it years and someone else has already looked at and changed the TNA wireless card.Basically, she acts only as the wireless switch does not work and it remains permanently off the coast, although the drivers install correctly and map also shows ok. Simply disconnected.
Now, I thought, okay, I'll take a look because I'm pretty good on the old hardware. Has taken apart and this you know, switch has been bent and not up. I handed the place, checked the switch and stop positions with a multimeter to check the switch worked and he was doing his job perfectly.
Now it still doesn't.
I guess it is now due to the fact that as I said, the map has been changed since its origin to a processor intel pro jobby. My question is, I'm right, do I just need to get the same card that was originally in it. I assumed that when the switch is set correct return, that I solved it.
Hello
The WiFi card must be activated bu switching the switch TO the position (the LED must illuminate) and in addition, you should choose the WLan antenna using the FN + F8 key combination.
Please check this!
Notes; go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card
There you can check if the WiFi is enabled as well. -

Satellite P10 - 221: "absent wireless network card."
Hello world
I had this problem: the wi - fi network card is not present in the list of hardware, the installation of the driver (both Toshiba tools and Utilities CD and downloaded drivers) still fails. In the case of Toshiba CD it says "DON'T NOT updated the driver, Installation failed", while in the case of the downloaded drivers, nothing happens when I choose "Install" from the context menu (click on
right .inf). The problem is: the wi - fi card is completely absent, the operating system does not, it does not matter where. Someone at - it had the same problem or knows the solution?
Thanks in advance,
WILLER
Hello
are you sure that you really have a wireless network card installed? Not all machines don't.
Check the code under the machine. It is printed on a silver label and looks like this:
PIII1000/256/20/14XT/D/LM/WThis one is a 1 GHz Pentium 3 machine. Read your code and put it here and we can tell if it has a built in network RLR.

My SD card won't read SD cards
Can someone tell me how to get, or rather to activate my SD card on my MacBook Pro 2010? It will not read cards.
Thank you
If SD cards are functional and do not appear in the disk utility, you can try MSC and NVRAM resets:
https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201295
https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204063
If not successful, then you are dealing with a hardware problem. You can use a USB SD card reader or make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. The assessment will be FREE.
Ciao.

Satellite P10-304 Disk Read Error
Hi people...
I am trying to upgrade my computer portable HARD drive. I use an external enclosure and cloning software to clone the Toshiba HDD to a WD Scorpio drive more.
The clone worked as far as I can tell and I can actually it boot via USB of the outer shell, but when I install in the mobile I have a disc read error. The speaker came with another Hitachi drive I tried the same result. I tried using the recovery disk of the product with the new drive but it wouldn't boot either, I tried the CD with the old drive so I know it works.
Any suggestions as to what could go wrong for me here?
Thank you!
Will be the new HARD disk that is recognized by the BIOS?
How much disk space a new HARD drive? Maybe the new HARD drive is great for this laptop and it could be interesting also how much disk space has the old HDD.
In addition, I would like to make a BIOS update.

Card wireless, not seen on Satellite P10 - 874
Hello
I have a Satellite SP10-874 (bought in Russia). I have problems with my wireless adapter windows just don't see it. No help, I found the drivers. I read similar messages on this forum, and in most cases, the problem was that the wireless card was just built into the laptop. But I'm 99% sure that mine has, as it seemed to work before. So if anyone can help, I would be very grateful. Thank you!!Hello
I found information that the Satellite P10 874 has no wireless card. If the wireless card is onboard n this case, the card is listed and each unit with wireless card has a label of WLAN card in the lower corner.
You can also check if you open the Wi - Fi coverage in the lower corner of the laptop. This cover is fixed with four screws.
Good bye

Satellite P10 - after installing XP, the SD card reader does not exist
I formatted my Satellite P10 and complete nine with XP SP1 installed. Since that time the integrated SD card reader no longer exists in the system (when I insert an SD card it doesn't work). Is this a problem with a driver or what can be the problem?
Before formatting, it's normal. Pleas explain easily. I'm not a professional user.
Hello
What drive did you use to reinstall Windows XP? If you use the Toshiba recovery disc are all drivers and pre-installed tools because the disc contains a picture of the factory settings.
In your case, I would try to install the latest driver for the European driver of Toshiba download page card reader. Maybe it's just a driver problem you s wrote:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversI m wondering that you only use the SP1 for XP. SP2 or SP3 new contains a lot of important security updates. I recommend you to update your XP version.
Welcome them

Satellite P10 824: card reader SD and IrDA doesn't work
I have a tosiba Satellite P10 824 a I don't know why I can use Infra red and sd card reader.
I installed the driver but I do not have nor why I can use.
When an sd card I can't and I can't send anything via infra red.Hello
Check the Device Manager.
Are the mentioned devices properly recognized in Device Manager or there is some yellow exclamation points?
How did you install the operating system? Train the Toshiba Recovery CD or manually? This issue has been published since the first day, or you have installed any 3rd party applications? As you can see there are a lot of questions because no one knows what you have done on your laptop. In my opinion the damaged registry entries might be a reason for these issues.
I think that you should try to remove the SD card reader and Irda device after the Restart Manager again you should auto search devices.
The drivers have to update and it should be possible to use the devices. -
SD 2 GB card is not readable on Satellite P10 504
I have a satellite P10-504 P4 2.8 GHz/XP with an SD card, when I insert a 2 gb SanDisk sd card it does not read.
What could do?
I think that of something maybe drivers upgrade, but I cant find it anywhere.Hello
Unfortunately, the reader doesn't support this format SD card and you will find all the drivers for the SD card. The operating system uses the standard Microsoft drivers.
In your case, the best way is to buy the external USB card reader supporting multiple card formats.
Such device simply isn't very expensive ;) -
Satellite P10-304 - the card WiFi mini pci can add?
Hello
I have a Satellite P10-304.
I would like to add a mini PCI Wireless.
Can someone tell me one would suit this machine.Thank you
Do you see black and white antennas near the Mini PCI Slot?
If this isn't the case, then you can not install a Wifi card. He won't get any reception. You get a USB Wifi instead.
If you have the antenna, Intel 802.11bg card (2200BG) should work. http://www.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/pro2200bg/
Its a good idea to buy the card from Toshiba (via an ASP) since the Wifi card can be modified to work correctly in the P10.
If you buy a generic MiniPCI Wifi card, he can switch Wifi does not work properly. -
C55D-A-12N satellite can not read SD cards
I got my Satellite for only a few months, and he was happily read the 8 GB SD card and then stopped.
I bought a new 16 gb SD card, and it will not read either.I had cause to take the laptop to the factory settings and had a broken hard drive replaced.
It does not read the card. I looked in the Device Manager, and he told me that the drivers are installed.... Can someone help please?
Hello
There's a reason simply why the SD card isn't recognized properly: the SD card isn't compatible.
The Satellite C55D-A-12N card reader takes in charge the rest of media:8 MB to 2 GB SD
SDHC 4 GB to 32 GB
64 GB SDXC
Mini 8 MB to 2 GB SD through adapter
Micro SD 8 MB to 2 GB via adapter
Any other MMC 4 MB more than 2 GBAs you can see, the regular SD cards are supported by only the formats between 8 MB and 2 GB

Satellite P10-831 wireless card
Hello!
I bought my Satellite P10 831, a year and I was very happy about it. But then I tried to use my wireless card (it is an Atheros I believe)...
The problem is that my computer can't even find the card. In the unit where everything is listed there is no wireless network card. If I try to install the driver on the CD from Toshiba says:
NG - driver was NOT updated!
(INF file may be incorrect or invalid)
Failed installation
Please help me!Hello bene
As far as I know Satellite P10 831 is just ready WLAN. This means that WLAN antenna is there, but you have to buy and built in wireless network card. If the card is not listed in Device Manager that it certainly isn't here.
If you want to check Toshiba page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com. Under the heading Products > Option & Accessories > Communications you will find a list with all wireless network cards. Check if some of them is compatible with your model of laptop.
If you need more help please write again.
Good luck!
