  • Digital satellite P200 (PSPBGA) - footprints and the webcam will not work on Windows 7

I use a Satellite P200 (PSPBGA) and have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

However the Toshiba Fingerprint Utility and Web Chicony Camera Assistant Software both do not work. I checked and there is no new update on the Australian site.

Can you please help me with these two questions?

    Hey Buddy,

I think that in this case, you can't do anything. I mean Windows 7 isn't on the market yet and at the moment there no drivers available. You can only try the Vista drivers because most of them are also work on Windows 7.

Alternative I founded on the Toshiba page we some drivers beta Windows 7. Maybe they work:

  • Satellite P200: Keys Fn and message Bluetooth Vista

I just installed the drivers updated for my Satellite P200, and now the Fn keys do not work for the brightness of the screen, etc.
Also, I get a message when I boot not being able to turn on the Bluetooth module (because the switch located on the front is off).

I have the Value pack installed (re-installed), but even now, keys Fn, can still tell me what I need drivers or something?

And also how to get rid of the message Bluetooth (but still have the screen in the status bar!)

    Thank you

Well, my Fn keys are back. I'm sure it wasn't to uninstall then reinstall the value pack, so I think it might have been reinstalling the flash utility cards.
By the way, when they were not working, I noticed very oddly that F1 - F8 would not work, but F9 (disable the touchpad) would be!

I got rid of the bluetooth message uninstalling Bluetooth Monitor 3. That means actually I don't know, because I always have the bluetooth icon in my tray, because it belongs to Bluetooth + Manager + - confusing!

  • I stupidly pressed FN + F1 on my satellite p200 series laptop and it has stopped working.

It's as if the laptop is on because the blue lcd light is on. But the keyboard does not have to be in a hurry. i.e. numlock light turns on, fn numbers do not work.

I need desperate help! I can't get into my computer.

Now I'm empty to see if when I boot it upwards again once, it lights up.

    Help someone!

    Don't worry, I fixed it.

I let the laptop battery run down, so he died. After waiting a few moments, I then restarted the laptop. It seemed to work. Thank God!

  • Satellite P200 - need the drivers of SD card and Win7 Tochpad player

    Hello everyone,

I own a Satellite P200-1E9 PSPB3E and installed Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. All right, but I have 2 small driver problems.

First: my touchpad works, but I can't scroll the text or on the internet! Where can I get the driver for the touchpad? Should which driver I use? I have to search for a driver, but can not find!
Second: my SD card reader does not work. No drivers on the Toshiba homepage!

I hope you can help, thx :-)

    Hi clemensgroh,

In your case, I'll try the Vista drivers. I did the same and they worked for me. You can download the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

There you can get the Flash Media Driver and Touchpad driver. :)

  • Procedure for starting and long stop on the Satellite P200 - 10 c

    I have a Satellite P200 - 10 c and I bought this laptop with pre-installed Vista Home Premium.
Everything works fine, but it takes a long time for the computer to boot. Same thing with shut down and restart.
    Is this normal?

    * amaster *, it has nothing to do with the laptop - that's Vista. You would be to optimize your system.
    1. disable UAC (run msconfig on Tools choose disable UAP, where getting the message "Command completed successfully" - restart)
    2. turn off some visual effects: go to control panel / system / advanced system settings / Advanced tab / Performance settings / Visual effects (default tab) and disable the following list:
Animate controls and elements inside windows
Menu fade or slide into view
ToolTip fade or slide into view
    Fading of items after clicking
    Show shadows under menus
    Show shadows under mouse pointer
    Show translucent selection rectangle
Drag the open drop-down list boxes
    Drag the task bar buttons
    3. optimize virtual memory: first remove the existing file - control panel/system/advanced system settings/advanced/performance-settings/advanced/Virtual Memory-change... mark "No. Paging File." Reset. Then create the new paging file - Control Panel/System/advanced system settings/advanced/performance-settings/advanced/Virtual Memory-change... do fixed Page File with size equal to: amount of physical memory (RAM) + 1 GB. If you have two hard drives - best create the pagefile on no system disk. The min and max sizes of pagefile should be equal - not different.
4 turn off System Restore. (Start / computer/properties/Advanced Settings/System Protection.) If UAC will ask you confirmation - allow)
    5. turn off the Hibernation (start programs/guest/in the context menu, choose "Run as Administrator" and in the command line write * powercfg OFF h *)
    6. cut unused services (do not turn it off completely - do, then manually run)
    7 edit the registry:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
    MenuShowDelay = 0 (default 400)
    AutoEndTasks = 1
    HungAppTimeout = 1000
    WaitToKillAppTimeout = 1000
    LowLevelHooksTimeout = 1000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro L]
In all three destinations: WaitToKillServiceTimeout and make 5000 (default 20000)

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\PriorityControl]
    Win32PrioritySeparation = 6 (default value 2)

And so on and so forth... Actually-, it is a never-ending story...

  • Satellite P200 - restarts after a stop

    Hi guys

I hope someone can help because it is driving me crazy. I have Vista 32 bit installed Premium. I have a Satellite P200 13Z laptop and when I properly close down the with Lalonde to start / stop the laptop goes through the procedure correct stop, but after about 10 seconds, it restarts.

This only happens when the power cord is connected. When I unplug the power cable and shut down the portable computer remains off.

Can someone shed some light on what once more makes me crackers.

    Hey Buddy,

Have you plugged the external devices to your laptop, e. g. mouse, keyboard, USB HDD, or something else? If yes remove all these devices, they could cause these automatic starts.

I recommend also check the BIOS. You should find an option called Wake up on LAN and it should be disabled.
Also if you can find Wake up on keyboard disable this feature too.

  • Recovery for Satellite P200 DVDs

Hello, I have a Satellite P200 12W computer and for some reason he couldn't start Windows correctly yesterday, I got a black screen. I decided to launch the recovery DVDs, he formatted the hard drive and then... could not copy all the files. It stops about 7 or 8% everytime I try, the DVD seems illegible.

I tried to buy a new one from the store, but he told me that the computer is too old or that I chose the wrong place.

Any idea to restart the computer?

    Thank you.

Satellite P200 is old model of laptop, and I imagine that you can not control the original Vista recovery disk.
As far as I know, and you can check, Satellite P200 is fully compatible to Win7 32-bit so I recommend you to install on your machine.

Last year, I sold my former P200D I used with Win7 32 bit and I can say that I was very pleased with the performance.
Get the Microsoft installation disc and install Win7. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

If you have any questions or advice on installing Win7 you are welcome.

  • Need drivers for Windows 7 x 64 for Satellite P200 (PSPB6E-1C501FGR)

Need drivers for Windows 7 x 64 for Satellite

    I have a few questions.

I've got Satellite P200 (PSPB6E-1C501FGR) and I was wondering is it possible to install 64 bit Windows 7 on this computer and when windows 7 x 64 drivers coming for download?
For HD DVD player, card reader, camera and other drivers and programs we work on my laptop.

    Hey Buddy,

At first please check this document: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm

Here you can see the Satellite P200 is official not Windows 7 supported and you will have to collect the drivers yourself and perhaps on external Web sites too.

What can you do now? I recommend you to install the Windows Vista drivers. Most of them are also work on Windows 7.

  • Satellite P200 - 14: nothing on the screen when the power

    Hello

I have Satellite P200 - 14 h, and a few days ago I started having a problem power on my lap.
I press the power button / stop, all three LEDs light up, battery, power supply and the first that shows that the adapter is plugged.

Now my problem is that the Satellite txt is not lit, and nothing indicated on my screen.
It's the mouth vent, black, on the bottom of the laptop, spin for a couple of times, and they stop

Does anyone know how to fix this
    Thanks to 1 million...

Sounds like a serious problem of material.
Please don t understand me wrong. This is only my personal opinion... If you want to know exactly what's wrong and then the laptop must be controlled by an ASP.

But try this first before you contact the ASP.
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter
Wait about 30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.

Try turning on the laptop computer.
If that does not help, ASP is your next step

I just got a new computer "Satellite P200-1EE" eager and got a HD DVD "Harry Potter OOTP" and it hangs just... is sujests I need a firmware update?

I tried to search for a file called firmware update, can anyone point me in the right direction...

OK I bet its simple dead - but I'm everywhere LOL
    Thanks for your help; (o)

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=103921&

Please don t forget a fact; HD DVD technology is very recent, and not all movies have been designed with the same level.
Probably, this could be a reason why the movie Harry Potter HD DVD does not work!

You might try another HD DVD to make sure that the HD DVD drive is not defective.

    A question:
You use the Toshiba HD DVD player?
You could try to update from Toshiba's HD DVD player with the update published on the Qosmio G30.
There is an update of this utility, and the original version must be installed to perform this update!

    Maybe this will help.
