  May I ask what OS are you using?
  Is this Toshiba pre-installed Vista OS or have you installed Win XP?

  From my experience the iaStor0 for the SATA driver file belongs and maybe it s a HARD drive problem

  Have you changed anything in the BIOS?
  Maybe something like SATA to AHCI mode compatible mode?

  Maybe your laptop is overheating. You can hear the fan or get very hot? Maybe you should try to clean using compressed air stream. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

  You said that you have installed Windows Vista on your laptop. Do you mean the factory settings or you have installed your own version of Windows?

  It could also be the RAM problem. You can check this with Memtest86. It is a diagnostic program for the RAM. You can download it from [www.memtest86.com]. It s freeware and easy to use (just to burn a bootable CD with the image and the start of it).

  The reason for overheating is the dust that blocks the fan for laptop gets hotter

  I recommend to clean using a jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. You can do it without disassembling the computer so it is very easy and takes only 5 minutes.
  Just remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter before doing this.

  For example I clean my laptop every 4 months because a lot of dust is coming so it s worth it.

  I had this problem from the beginning. When I plug this laptop it had Vista on it. In the random time intervals the computer froze briefly, making a stuttering noise, if there is an audio output.   I don't think it's a general or common problem. I have the Satellite P500 with the NVIDIA card inside. Pre-installed driver is Toshiba 8.16.11.8829 driver version, and I have never notice one problem with display or graphics in general.

  I watch blu - ray movies, very often HD trailers on YouTube, play games (for the time Medal of honor, Black Ops) and everything works perfectly.

  What NVIDIA card is in your laptop and what display driver is installed?

  Since installing Windows 7 Ultimate, I have a problem with intermittent gurgling noise whenever something works on my laptop that has audio.   I had the same problem with intermittent noise. After sending two times my toshiba satellite L750D to get fixed by the store where I bought it (they could not find the fault), I found that the hum is not meeting when wifi is disabled. So I updated the driver for my AR9002WB-1NG Atheros network card and it works perfectly now.

  Hi all

  I have some problem with my Satellite P300-161.
  He is running on MS Vista and I get random freezing with the computer laptop everything.

  By freezing, I hear every application that runs past to the mode "not responding" and it freezes for about 10 seconds, then after 10 seconds or so everything will return to normal. HOWEVER, sometimes in frozen mode, I can thaw the laptop while hitting / drawing the space next to the touchpad... I know it's bad, but it's the best way to solve this problem.

  I installed Windows 8 on my satellite P300-156 and now I have a big problem.

  There are no drivers for the laptop because it isn't win 8 supported series.

  I bought this laptop a month ago to replace my old who crashed without possibility of repair and I had problems with the video drivers since then. I hoped that the problem would resolve since I am in the middle of my exams and I really have time too much more time to spend to fix it myself, and I also can not him go to the store because I need some software for my exams.

  So the problem that in my view, lies in the video drivers for the graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470.   First of all, you should post the exact code of BSOD and what operating system you are using. Then, we can search for this problem and what is the reason for this on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

  But before you install the driver, remove the old driver first. Reboot the laptop and clean your system with CCleaner. Restart the computer and then install the latest version on the Toshiba site.

  The display driver on the factory site Internet (ATI) doesn't work because it s only for cards of office and not for laptops. Then, you can t install and your laptop has only been tested with drivers of Toshiba.

  If the new driver doesn't work, you should try to update the BIOS too. You will find on the page of Toshiba.
