Satellite P750 PSAY1A: how to create the recovery Toshiba on the new HARD drive partition
Hello
I have an old Toshiba Satellite P750 (PSAY1A-01Y022). I just upgraded my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB and am preparing to take my 500 GB HARD drive 1 TB. I had to order the disk online and wait to happen.
I always try to understand how to create the arrival of my new HARD drive Toshiba Recovery Partition. I do the same thing for an old book, I handled based on something similar to it's original factory State.
I have reflected on the recovery partition, but does not know how it was created. It is not NTFS. Does anyone have experience in the creation of a Toshiba Recovery on a new HARD drive Partition?
And the help is very appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
DineshRecovery partition can be created when you use the original Toshiba Recovery disk and install recovery image. Before the partitions to boot OS install will be automatically created, recovery image copied on a recovery and then partition as last step recovery image installation starts.
A sort of migration of files from one to the other HARD disk is not solution.
Only for laptop with factory will work and the usable recovery partition.

Satellite A500 - problems with the creation of recovery disks
Hello
I bought a Satellite A500 yesterday and now I'm trying to create the recovery discs before anything else.
However, towards the end of the 1st DVD I get an error message saying "Faile dto open the next file. e:\Boot\BCD (0201123-F1-00000000 error code)"and then when I click 'OK', the DVD is ejected giving a message"unable to create recovery 1' media. Physical examination, I noticed that the DVD is written almost entirely.Any advise on this? In addition, in the interface, it shows a USB option and says to insert a USB media with more than 7 GB of free. That I can use it to create the recovery disk? If Yes, when I reinstall windows 7, this allows as a bootable drive?
Greately appreciate any help on this matter. If it is defective, I want to return as soon as POSSIBLE.
Thank you
Mercier. As far as I know, that you can not use external device for recovery, it is therefore very important create recovery DVDs.
Try to create the recovery disk using only DVD-R media. Use high quality media like TDK or Verbatim.
Last month, I've created on the Satellite A500-157 recovery discs and everything went well. -

Satellite C660-121 can not verify the recovery disk
I bought a couple of days a go a new Satellite C660-121. Today, I went to do the recovery disks, but it fails to check the first DVD disc.
The error I get is the following
http://img231.imageshack.us/i/failedcopy.PNG/E:\ is the name of the DVD player. I use Verbatim DVD - R blank, I have the laptop on the power during the burning process and I tried twice with two different disks and got the same result. How can I solve this problem?
Hello Voger
I have created many recovery on several Toshiba laptops DVDs and never noticed anything like that. I used that brands and DVD-R discs were Verbatim or TDK.
Unfortunately I can't answer it what does this message mean, but you should try to repeat the creation of DVD. If possible try with TDK.
If the same thing happens again I recommend you recovery your laptop using recovery of HARD drive option and try to create discs of recovery again.Sorry, but I don't see any other possibility at the moment.

Re: Satellite A100-233 - where to get the recovery disk
I have laptop Satellite A100-233.
But I've lost my product recovery cd and I need format my computer now.How can I download on the internet.
Can you help me?
Thanks from now.
Toshiba recovery image cannot be downloaded.
The recovery disk for the new series of laptops can be ordered here and you will have to pay for it:
https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspxBut if your laptop is a bit older so maybe an ASP in your country could help you order this disc
In very rare cases you will not be able to order a disk if your computer laptop would be belongs to a series of abandoned
In this case, you will need to install the OS from the MS Windows CD

Satellite A505-S69803 - buy a Windows 7 recovery disk?
Hello
I think about the purchase of a Toshiba Satellite A505-S69803 and I was wondering if it is possible to buy the Toshiba Recovery discs and if so how?
Hello
Why are you asking this?
If you buy a laptop you can create a Toshiba Recovery disk. Therefore, you will need to use the Toshiba recovery disc creator, which is preinstalled on your laptop. It creates a disk with a picture to factory settings (version of the OS preinstalled). If your laptop comes with Windows 7, you can create such a floppy.

Satellite L550D-13V - how to recover without recovery disks?
Hello
I had a big problem. Win 7 Home Premium 64 BIT crashed on my satellite L550D-13V.
I tried to fix it, but it does not work. So I decided to recover via HARD disk utility.
Everything seems to be okay, but ultimately the tool said that errors have occurred. I tried to get it back again, but the process aborted with blue screen "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" this time. After reboot system told me that no bootmgr is available. I tried to start using the recovery disk, but it also seems to be defective because the system cannot boot from the disks.
And there is my problem. I cannot start / retrieve now. Volume D seems to be OK - the HARD disk utility files are still available, but I can't create a new recovery disks and it is not possible to start in disk utility.
You have any ideas?
Thanks in advance and best regards
DannyHello
The story is strange
I m wondering why you are not able to boot from the recovery disc?
Have you used the recovery disk created in the past or have you tried this drive for the first time? However, with regard to the error message: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
I googled for that and it sounds like it could be linked to the fault memory.
Perhaps one of the failures modules.Of course, this is just a personal opinion
If a HARD drive folder is available on your HARD drive, then there is a small chance of getting the recovery of HARD drive to work. Here's an interesting thread:

Satellite L500 - 19 X - cannot use the recovery disk
Well I had this phone two days ago and he used once after installing fire fox and my mobile to wide band of the driver and going to start and find it of going to happen.
I tried SafeMode (three) and repair and all I got was a screen black with the cursor upward where it should have been a language screen (I used the recovery disc supplied with the notebook) so anyway, after finding out that I wasn't going to be able to fix it, I tried to install , but of course, this does not work, or so I put my XP 64 bit OS on and has perfectly worked, then I updated (using my own upgrade windows 7) and that works fine no problem, so I tried again with the original windows 7 comes pre-installed on the hard drive on the laptop and everything went find until she starts the installation of the driver or updates (I not 100% sure on this but it or after the installation of face recognition.
Then it stops it of self down and boots back up to automatically restart and asking me if I want to repair due to a bad start, so I did the repair boots back to the top and still says I need to fix and can't find anything wrong and carries on in this circle.
Now, I was told it could be the registry or there is a problem of graphics, I get pretty tired of having to install/reinstall/format this laptop.
So if there is anyone who knows of what is wrong or what to do or whether it should be returned to fix, which will be very useful.
I thank everyone in advance.
Happy new year :)
Hello
Well, I think that it of really difficult to say what is the reason. Maybe the recovery disk is noisy or the files corrupted it.
At the moment, I can t imagine what it s a hardware problem because other windows drive work properly.
In your case, I would try to install Windows 7 from a Microsoft disc and then see what happens. If it works properly and that you can install all drivers & tools you need to order a new drive Toshiba Recovery directly.
Good bye

Satellite M300 - where can I get a recovery disk?
I have the Satellite M300 and I need the recovery disk. My microsoft system crashed and I need to make a recovery.
Can you help me?
Hey mate,
You can get a new drive for recovery of an authorized service provider. On the Toshiba site, you can search the nearest so please check this!
Alternative, you install Windows on a Microsoft disc, and then you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba page. Then you have factory settings too backwards, but it s more complicated than the Toshiba drive.

Can satellite L300-1AQ - I use the L300D recovery disk?
My son has a Satellite L300-1AQ equipped of vista. All of a sudden will load is more the laptop and automatic repair options fails too. There is a blue screen that appears, but only for a second when I try the repair option - then the laptop stops. We have no recovery disks.
Also, I have a laptop Satellite L300D-13 s that works well and suppose I could get a drive recovery- but prob diff drivers etc.
Can someone advise me how best to my sons laptop (Im not concerned about retrieving data as all saved already), but do not want to return to the factory settings including Vista. Do not know if using a laptop recovery disk is an option - instinctively is not as ever as simple as that.
All advice welcome please.
Hi mate,
I can t imagine that the Satellite L300D recovery disc will work on Satellite L300. The hardware platform is different, because a single machine is equipped with Intel CPU and the other with AMD processor, so there's a big difference.
In addition, in the worst case, it could be a hardware problem and in this case the recovery disk does not work
What can you do now? I think you have to options: either you install Vista from a disk of Microsoft or order you a Toshiba Recovery disk: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
After installing the Microsoft disc, you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba site. Then you will also get back to factory settings, but it takes more time in the recovery disk because it contains an image which already all the drivers and tools are included/installed.
I hope I could help a bit. :)

Re: Satellite M100-164 - how to get the recovery disk?
Hi, I have a used Satellite M100-164. (short only model no psma0e)
Its a M100 changed for the Middle East market as well far as I can tell its basically the same as the European models of M100, except with a smaller hard drive.
I bought it in a store of play (Computer Exchange in London), but it did not come with a recovery disk.
Also, I was a little too active pro removing unwanted software of the machine, so I have not installed the Toshiba tools that would be able to create a recovery disk.
Now I need one because I want to install a bigger hard drive and then re - build the operating system (which is XP)
* So my question is, where and how do I get a recovery for this notebook drive? *
I tried to use https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu, but it did not work because the serial number was not recognized (probably because it is a region of the Middle East series no)
is there another way to get the Toshiba recovery disks? I'm happy to pay a little for one.
Hello
In most cases it is possible to get the EPA recovery disc in your country.
But this is not always possible if the laptop model is too old or abandoned. Therefore, get in touch with the ASP guy and ask for more details.
Maybe you are a lucky man and could get this disc.If you will not get this disc, you will need to install the OS by using the MS XP disk.
Pilots must be placed on the page of Toshiba Europe!See you soon

Talk about confusion. Does anyone know how to get a Toshiba C660 work after the HARD drive failed and the owner has stupidly NOT followed the instructions to make a recovery disk. Will be the recovery disk (if buy you one from Toshiba) rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition and install windows 7 (original OS) and accept the product key printed on the Windows license, attached to the base of the laptop. I have read a number of suggestions, but these have been considered incorrect by others.
Surely, Toshiba must have a way to sort this problem.
They read these messages?
Hey Buddy
I don't think it's really complicated, that I could find all the information about the recovery procedure in the user's manual
The recovery disk must be created on the first day of purchase its recommended to create one in case something would be wrong with the HARD drive.
The recovery disk contains an image. The image is a package containing Win system, drivers, tools and all the stuff pre-installed on the notebook.
You bought the laptop and the system has already been activated so that you have need of t the key placed at the bottom of the unit.
In addition, the use of the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer (partitions too) and set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase. There is also another option to recover the notebook called HARD drive recovery. This HARD drive recovery requires no recovery disk. The recovery disc HARD would be to use format ONLY partition C (System).

Satellite Pro A300: How to create the recovery disk
Hello
I just bought a Satellite Pro A300 with Windows XP.
I want to know how I can or if I need to create a recovery disk that will reset the machine to its original state.
The information gives instuctions on how to proceed for the Vista machines, but not for XP.I know that I can recover from the hidden partition, but where this is not possible, I wish I could get CD or DVD.
There is a recovery CD included product that says only: "MS Windows XP" so I guess that it does not include drivers or Toshiba Software?Any help appreciated,
Thank you
MickHello
You have preinstalled software Toshiba TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator?
Please check this box.
Using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator you can create the recovery disk. But if your laptop was already pre-installed with Windows XP and then a Recovery CD or DVD must be included.
Have you checked all of the items in the box?

Hey Buddy,
I think you need to install the proper drivers because the other recovery disk contains bad drivers. Simply visit the Web from Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversAlso Toshiba you can t get a recovery disk. You will need to contact an authorized service provider.
