  Have you noticed this screen problem laptop with mains running or simply using the battery?

  I read about the problem of similar laptop screen which was related to the Intel display power saving technology.

  When I press the power button to turn the computer into the AC power light starts flashing orange light (flashes come in groups of eight, the second and eighth flash are longer). Nothing else happens: the computer is dead as a brick. To stop the flashing, I have to disconnect the main power supply and remove the battery.

  I put t think you will be able to do anything that would bring back the laptop from the dead.

  According to your description books sends a flashing error code that appears always if a motherboard error has been detected.

  In your case only an ASP might help you.

  ·       You are using a laptop with a touchscreen?  Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing or moving the laptop and that moves the cursor.  Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing.  Go to the manufacturer website and download the latest device drivers, firmware and software for your keyboard and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may need to go manufacturer of mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system).  New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.

  This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem).  Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.

  Hmmmm... It's very strange that you n t have idea how to start. Throughout history, there are only two options:
  -for the installation of an operating system you can use the original Toshiba Recovery disk that came with this laptop. If you n t have it then
  -use the Microsoft installation for the installation of the OS disc. All the drivers, tools and utilities must be installed Additionally one by one. Each of them you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads

  Please note: the product key at the bottom belongs to original recovery image so you probably won't be able to use it for the activation of the operating system.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, Windows XP Professional with SP2, memory: 512 MB.

  I have a Satellite Pro A300. When I connect a mouse directly by USB the cursor moves constantly. I also have a mouse attached via a docking station, Toshiba and that works perfectly.

  I thought it was the mouse that was the problem, so I went and bought a new one but the problem persists.
