Satellite Pro L10: How to arrange a pick up service under warranty
Look, I don't know where to put this, but I'm at the end of my home with it.
I know what the problem with my laptop (a Satellite Pro L10) because I've had this is the fourth time it happened.
I just need to organise a pick up/repair warranty.
I went through all of the fields on the this site Web site and filled in all categories and all cela and whenever I click on the button 'Submit' final at the bottom of the page where you will see your address and details of the problem, it refreshes just the page (LESS my details).
He submits? It is a failure to present a reason any?
I spent half an hour - that there is NO category that I failed to fill.
What the hell with this thing?
I have only one month left on my laptop warranty. I just want to fix one last time before I get a new one. I experienced this three times before - I know that the forest both inside and outside and I just want to get it + more + with.
Is it just a number somewhere that I can call to have someone pick up the thing?

Satellite Pro L10: How to remove the user password
Hello
I work for a school and we have a bunch of laptops Satellite Pro L10. I put a supervisor on all laptops password think this problem would be solved (I didn't enter a password each time the machines are enabled), but one of our students seems to have found its way to the HWSetup utility in Control Panel and could save a user password on one of the laptops.
Alarmingly there seems to be no way to clear the password of the user, even though I have the supervisor password. I can get the BIOS as a supervisor, but the definition of a user password option is grayed out. Can anyone provide a solution for my problem?
Thank you
Hello
Well, I think that this problem could be solved by updating the BIOS to the version 2.60 or greater.
But the problem is that the password has already been fixed.I read in the paper of Toshiba that all passwords must be removed before starting the BIOS updates.
That's why I think it would be advisable to contact Toshiba service partner to remove first the user password, and then update the BIOS.You know it's very risky to update the BIOS of the device when the user or any password has been set.
It of possible that the BIOS update procedure will be interrupted if the password exists. -
Satellite Pro L10: How the WLAN status to be always on?
We have laptops Satellite Pro L10 at school. The button on the front of the machines that allows you to disable the WiFi network is a real pain because it's one extra thing to go wrongwhilst trying to get a laptop to access our network wireless school.
Is there anyway to disable this button so that laptops will still access wireless networks accessible to the general public?
Hello
Sorry but there is not much to do. If the WIFI network is configured properly it won't take long time to connect the laptop to school WLAN. I know it's probably boring to you, but there is not much to do.

Satellite Pro L10 - how to use product recovery?
I've had this laptop for a while, it was done incrementally over the years and now seems to have abandoned completely.
I can barely open anything without being invited to what program I want to open it with, and web browsing becomes almost impossible.
I have all the product recovery discs but when I try to use following the instructions 'Insert disc in drive, turn on your PC while keeping the key C' nothing happens, after all a bunch of Eman windows continues to load.
I'm close to throw this thing out the window (I live in a 3rd floor apartment) but cannont afford a replacement. If anyone can offer me some advice much whatever it is I would be very happy.
Thank you
Hey Buddy,
If I understand you just want to reinstall Windows. Is this good?
Therefore, you must use the Toshiba recovery disc. As far as I know the old Satellite L10 there is no option of HARD drive recovery, by pressing the C key will not help you.
So, put the Toshiba Recovery disk and boot up your laptop. Then, go into the BIOS or BIOS boot menu and choose Start from the CD/DVD drive.
The CD starts and you can reinstall Windows :) -
How to use Recovery on satellite Pro L10 with DVD drive broken?
Hello...
I have a satellite Pro L10, which is virused. I need to recover Windows. Unfortunately, I can not, because the CD/DVD drive is borked.
I tried everything until and including the purchase of a laptop adapter HD, but my desktop computer is not a Toshiba so he does not have the recovery disk.
I've never had to use a "recovery disk" before, so I have no idea how it works - apparently there should be a folder on my hard drive recovery? can someone tell me where I could find it? (I'm quite familiar with the innards of my installation of Windows and have never noticed before). Also, is it possible that this native recovery file has been compromised by my virus?
Default: can it be fixed using an installation of LAN, and if so, could someone point me to instructions? (My BIOS allows booting from LAN, but not USB, which is irritating).
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you.
Hello
First of all you will not be able to use the Toshiba Recovery disk if you cannot use the CD/DVD drive.
Why? Because you need to boot from the CD of recovery if you want to install windows from the CD from Toshiba. You ask how to boot from LAN?
Well friend; I doubt that you will be able to do.
First of all that this could be possible only if you have a RIS server.
The Remote Installation Services can be installed optionally on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.It's really complicated and not easy for someone who has never done.
If you want you can google a little how to create REEFS but in my opinion it s advisable to buy and compatible CD/DVD drive because the STRANGE can also be used for other purposes -

Satellite Pro L10: Enter key malunction
Hello.
On my Satellite Pro L10, the Enter key does not work. I tested it in the BIOS and it works but it does not work in Windows XP. If someone from the software fixes or advice I would be very grateful
Hello
It's a very strange question, but you should be more specific about this. How did you test the feature key of entry? Is there the same result if you use Notepad or the same conversation programs Office applications? Your device's pre-installed with recovery media?
As much as I know it isn't common Windows problem and it is unclear to me that there is a patch for this problem.

IRQ conflict on satellite pro L10
I had problems using a capture card to PCMCIA data with a new satellite pro L10. I used the same card on other laptops with no problems. I think the problem is to do with the conflict on the IRQ channel, because both the card and the controller cardbus use the same channel. I tried to change the IRQ channel manually with the Device Manager, but it does not accept the change. Someone has suggestions how to change the IRQ channel or anything else that might help?
Hello
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this, but please check this article http://kadaitcha.cx/irq_conflicts.html maybe you will find the solution to your problem.
Good luck!

Can not get my Satellite Pro L10
I have a satellite pro l10, I tried to put my recovery disk in and she said keeping key c down when I start my computer but it does, nt work, how do I get this drive to work does anyone have an idea, s Please
Hi James,
Press and hold the 'C' key is a specific shortcut of Toshiba to allow the laptop to boot directly from the CD. However, you can also select the CD-ROM as boot device in the BIOS, just press the F12 key when you see the Toshiba start screen for power over the process and you will be presented with a menu of the device selection. Tab just down to the CD-ROM and press to enter. The laptop computer should now boot from the CD.
Kind regards

Satellite Pro L10: Question about saving the files on a CD
Please can someone tell me how I can save a typed document (produced in Word or similar) on the CD? I don't have a floppy drive on my satellite pro L10 portable. Have 'saved' music using the immediate recording before, but now need to record your actual work on the hard disk for transport to a pc with access to a printer.
When I tried it told me incorrect function, contact administrator (that's me!) I tried CD - R and CD - RW discs and neither would not let me save the file on it. would be grateful for any advice regarding this.
Thank you
Hi Roy,
First of all, you will ned to ensure that you have enabled logging on oprical drive you. For this a right-click on the CD-ROM in my computer icon and then selecting "properties-> recording. Make sure that "Enable CD writing on this drive" is checked.
Once you have done the above, you can simply drag the documents that you want to copy on the CD-ROM icon in my computer.
Note that the burning process does not happen immediately. Windows caches the files to be placed on your hard drive first and then you can burn all documents cached only once.
Alternatively, you may find that some third-party software has been bundled with your portable computer, which performs a similar function the standard Windows CD burn software.
Kind regards

Replacing the screen for Satellite Pro L10
The screen is cracked badly on my Satellite Pro L10. About how much can I expect to pay for a replacement within the United Kingdom. Is this something that I can wait to replace me with a screwdiver and some care?
How much would a complete hull and the screen?
Where can get me a - Toshiba service center my best bet?
Hello
The fact is that the screen of the laptop is one of the most expensive neighborhoods that are installed on the laptop.
But unfortunately, I do not know what will cost repletion.
This information you won't get form the Toshiba service partner in your country.
I recommend you ask the service partner.

Conflict PCI network Satellite Pro L10 controller
Hey

sound on a Tosh satellite pro L10
I would really be steered in the right direction on this one that Ive looked on the net and nothing can not knowBasically, when the laptop is turned on or restarted, when it doesn't the POST I get an error:
Resource conflict - PCI on motherboard bus network controller: 02, device: 04, function: 00 and i must press either F1 to continue or F2 to go into Setup/bios, but the bios is this bloody basic that you can't change anythingThank you
Tim
Hello
You have an IRQ conflict in the BIOS. You need to reset the default values. Otherwise, start the laptop and got the Device Manager.
There, you must uninstall the WLan driver and LAN driver. After restarting again, you must install the two drivers again.
If it doesn't, use the Toshiba Recovery CD!
All your problems should have. -
Satellite Pro L10: BIOS passwords again
Hello!
Tonight one of my friends brought me his Satellite Pro L10 and asked me to remove the user password, cose she dislikes grasp every time... OK, it's very simple! -I said. I went to the BIOS with the same password, found the supervisor password option and turn off the power. I could not enter the user password option and left him, thinking I'll fix this later... Well...
Can you imagine how I was surprised when the system says - password invalid! More... I tried to go back to the BIOS, but system asked me a password... but I deleted "Supervisor password" well, I typed the old one and it does not again!
Ok. Of course, later, I found the manual for this Satellite Pro L10, I know that it might be preferable to use the Toshiba Console and Toshiba HWSetup could be.
Tell me, please, supervisor password had priority, and now she has to remember his user password?
Or there is something else?Thank you!

I studied a bit on the Toshiba knowledge site (it s very useful and interesting) and found this knowledge base article:
Satellite L10 - setting the BIOS and supervisor passwords
http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ5300WK001GR01.htmCheck it out. Maybe it helps.
Additional, as I know if is not the BIOS password, you cannot delete it by yourself. Only the service guys are able to remove unknown BIOS password.
