  Really bad, my old PC and laptop can connect to my external monitor to 1920 by 1080, which is the native resolution of the screen, even made my Xbox 360. But won't my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-291, it tops out at 1680 by 1050 and will not display anything higher. I tried the latest drivers without success. What is a physical limitation on the laptop?

  I have a Satellite L300, who will not get past the POST or the Toshiba start screen. It says to press F2 to enter setup or F12 for the boot sequence, but by pressing buttons does nothing and nothing happens - it just stays there. the HARD drive activity light flashes for a few seconds, then stops.

  I tried the new RAM and a HARD drive different, both with the connected power and battery alone without success!

  Hmm, I think that you have tried everything you can do, and in my opinion, it seems to be a hardware malfunction. Maybe it s related to the motherboard, CPU, module ROM or something else

  I tried to update the value added package on my machine, I followed the instructions and removed my previous version and same clean your pc with ccleaner and tune up Utilities 2009 running but everytime I go to install new value-added package I get the previous version the same message delete first in the add and remove programs list.

  You have restarted your laptop after removing the VAP system?

  I have updated VAP on several laptops and have never noticed anything like that.
  After removing the VAP system new version was always installed correctly.
  I imagine that something is still in the registry.
  You can check it out and try to remove manually.
  Search all entries from value of Toshiba and remove it.

  If this does not all you can do is to install the new OS using recovery image. After the new installation remove VAP, restart your computer and install the latest version.

  You have installed Win 7 as a new OS.
  Have you installed good WLan driver?
  The WLan card is recognized in Device Manager?

  If so, have you turned on the wireless network adapter by using a switch in front of the laptop, and FN + F8?

  I upgrade my memory to 4 GB using 2x2gb PC2-5300 667 Mhz memory. When I installed the memory and I turn on my laptop the installation always pop up. When I removed the 2 GB of memory to do only 2 GB I spend on my laptop and it works.

  I am using windows Vista premium 32-bit edition. I wonder why I do not work with 4 GB of memory. I installed the memory correctly, but it does not work to 4 GB.

  Older versions of the BIOS peut t be downloaded on the Toshiba site. They are only available for authorized service providers.

  But I doubt that the BIOS is the reason for this. You should try to clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

  I currently have a Satellite Pro L300-155. At work, the WIFI signal is strong everywhere where I am in the building because we have 2 WIFI connections. However, I can connect okay in 1 room but if I just go in the other room, I'm unable to connect - and the connection is still strong. This also happens intermittently at home.

  The system state is:

  I used the recovery CD (to install Windows XP and other software on this CD).
  I've upgraded to the latest version of the BIOS (1.50, 10/07/2008) for my laptop and I downloaded all updates for Windows XP.
  I installed the latest WLAN driver for my WIFI (Realtek RTL8187B) card.

  The problem is still there:
  Every 12 hours (exactly on the minute!) drops connections.
  Not only the Internet, but the local connection.
  It is even a kind of matrices.

  Both a connection to a local computer and "mIRC" (ssh/telnet-program) to "PuTTY" (program-chat-IRC) says "network error caused abortion of software".

  These ping connections not, they die instantly in a tenth of a second.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-29V only about 2 months, and suddenly the hard drive (very full) is apparently dead.

  First of all, I must say that I have this Satellite L300 too. But I didn t have no problem, the HARD drive works fine for 1.5 years and I use this laptop for Internet and emails everyday. I m very satisfied.
