Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB9E) - need to wireless network drivers for Server 2003

Hi all

I put the Server 2003 on my new laptop for a University project. I got everything to work except for the wireless. I've tired the latest drivers from the support site for that laptop, but they did not work.

Does anyone know if there are any drivers for my wireless card so that it will work on Server 2003? Or how can I know exactly what I have in the machine I said it the wireless card may not be an Intel card could be an Atheros card?

Thank you

Hello Jack

Server 2003 is not supported on Toshiba laptops and you must try to find somewhere on the net.
According to the specification of your Satellite Pro notebook has REALTEK 802.11(B/G) 13CH-RTL8187B WLAN card.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - PSLB9E - cannot turn off wifi except for by Win 7

I installed Win7 64 bit with a custom installation (replacing 32-bit Vista). I have updated all drivers (to my knowledge) and BIOS to 2.1. The wifi is always enabled, any position of the switch on the front or the combination Fn + F8. I can unplug a wifi service in the network Panel Win 7. This may seem like a good problem to have, but the power gets used when on battery. Obvious pointers? I can't follow up? Thank you very much.

You can likely install toshiba value added package for win 7 if it is available.
I also have the same problem with mij L40 pro and value pack for Windows 7 will not install on my laptop.
Maybe it wil last updated in the future.

  • Driver XP SATA for Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9E

Hi all I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9E and I am trying to downgrade from Vista to XP. I have the sata AHCI controller mode, I looked for this drivers on the toshiba site and the site of intel, but none of these work when installing xp and pressing f6 when you use a usb floppy drive. Any ideas?

    Hello

If you have set the compatible SATA mode in the BIOS, then you n t need to install all the drivers SATA!
Compatibility mode allows you to run the HARD drive without SATA drivers.

But if you want to use the HDD in SATA mode, then you will set back to AHCI.
In this case the SATA drivers must be installed in order to use the HDD in SATA mode.

The laptop seems to be equipped with the AMD CPU and so you need a SATA chipset AMD driver. That are in the package of graphics (record SBDrv/SATA") driver

After reading almost all threads talking about it, I know that I need a driver for my chipset, but Satellite PRO L300 PSLB9E what controller use exactly?
How can I see what it or could someone tell me?

For example, I have this list.
Which one should I install? Where can I find it?

Lot of thanks and sorry for the mistakes, I am not very strong in English

You need to install the SATA drivers before you install Windows. If you have two options:

1 copy the drivers on a floppy disk. After that, you start from the Windows CD and press F6 to load drivers.

2 do. you a new installation with nLite disc. Search forum, there is a lot of discussion on this topic.

If you have problems to do this, ask here in the forum. ;)

  • Satellite Pro refuses to connect to wireless networks

Hi guys! I need your help!

My laptop Satellite Pro has suddenly decided to refuse to connect to wireless networks.
all except my home router from the sky.

I have moved since and am not able to connect to the free public Wi - Fi.
No error message; Just click to connect to a particular network and nothing happens.

I've been back home since and it connects automatically.
I have Windows 8 and have not been able to find any trace of the Sky network to deselect etc.

    Any ideas?

    CAL

    > I've been since back home and it connects automatically.
This means that you can connect to your WiFi network at home without big problems?
This indicates that s laptop WiFi connection works correctly.

I put t know what Satellite Pro, you have exactly, but have you checked if you can update the WLan driver?

    What happens if you change the Wlan standard? (802.11 a / B / G or N)
This can be changed in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab

  • Satellite Pro A40 fell on the wireless network card; Damaged PCMCIA slot

This morning my Satellite Pro A40 (Celeron 2.6) fell 40 cm. He fell right on the wireless network card that has been inserted. This card is still alive and so is the rest of the laptop, but the PCMCIA location is little damaged. I can insert PC cards almost completely, just the last piece (when the pins are) wrong.

I removed the cover near the CPU, and there, I could see the inside PCMCIA slot; I could see the main part and the last part where the pins are. That little part as is pushed upward, as you can see in the pictures.

I think I'd be able to fix myself this PCMCIA slot, but I can't remove it. I removed all the screws on the rear plate, but he is still blocked.

    Pics:

    PCMCIA slot

The PCMCIA location; on the left, you will see the part with the pins, which is pushed upward. It's also what I see when I look at the pins in the PCMCIA slot. as they are pushed down, but I don't think they are folded.

    Wireless network card

Wireless network card; It is a little damaged but it still works.

Does anyone have an idea how I can remove the back plate, or another way to remove the PCMCIA slot and fix it?

    Hi Steve

Well, I can give t well you not answer how you can just remove the PCMCIA slot.
There are a lot of screws and to my knowledge, it is necessary to remove all covers and screws that are placed at the bottom of the unit and inside under the keyboard.
Please check this specific device. Perhaps you have overlooked a few screws.

But if it is impossible to remove the PCMCIA slot of the unit, I recommend to ask the service partner for a detailed instruction.

    Good luck

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro L510 cannot access my wireless network

The laptop recognizes wireless networks are available but requires a 'logon domain' with my user name and password.
Where can I find the logon domain? What is it?

    Hi mate

I don't know how you are trying to connect to the WLAN, but generally you n t need no user to connect to the WLan router password.

You need, it's the right SSID (wireless network name), Wlan encryption right and good WiFi encryption password.

First of all, ensuring that the WiFi network has been successfully activated!
Key combination to select Wlan using FN + F8!
Also read the manual of use of laptops for more details how to enable the Wlan!

Then, you must configure the Wlan router every router supports a configuration different procedure but normally you should always have a manual with your router.
There should be a step by step instruction how configure it!

  • Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA: need driver Lan and screen for XP

    Hey

    Please help me!

I just installed XP on my new satalite pro, but I had trouble with the drivers.
For the moment, I installed most but from this site, I can't seem to find a driver that will help my network card, or my video NIVIDIA player...

any suggestions would be very valuable

The Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA is unclear to me. I know the PSAE1, the PSAE4 and the PSAE7Satellite Pro A200. So could you please confirm your Pro A200 series?

If you do not find only XP drivers on the Toshiba page I would recommend checking the LAN and graphics chip installed on the motherboard and use drivers XP from the manufacturing of the chip.

If you need a graphic driver, I advise to use the drivers from the site www.omegadrivers.net or www.laptopvideo2go.com

but will it work ok with this bios version?

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

The question is: why you want to update the BIOS?
    Is there something wrong?

As you know, the BIOS update is a sensitive technique.
My laptop works with old BIOS and I did not upgrade to update even if the new version has been released I didn't update because my camera is ok.

However, it seems that the two series are similar, but I think there are still some minor differences besides the BIOS update should not continues if the wrong version would be selected
