Satellite Pro L50 - B - unable to connect at 5 GHz Wi - Fi

Hello

I just bought a new Satellite Pro L50 - B and it is unable to connect to the wifi of my company 5 GHz network. It connects well to the 2.4 GHz network, but poor performance on network thaat there.

Is it possible to get the L50 - B to work in the 5 GHz range?

Thank you

Martin

Frequency of 5 GHz is supported by 802.11 A and 802.11 N
But if the WLan module is not compatible 802.11 A, then the standard 802.11 N will operate at 2.4 Ghz

The question is: what are the standards WLan are supported by the integrated WLan module?

Which module WLan is integrated?

Generally avoid any problem to use WLAN on your laptop. Everything you need to do is activate the wireless card, Windows option to see all available wireless and connect to your favorite WLAN networks.

Can you please tell us what OS you are using? Do you use original OS that you got with your laptop or Win7 maybe?

    Hello
    Peuvent some please help?

I bought a Satellite Pro L300-152, model without PSLB1E-01R015EN with Vista 32 bit a few months ago to replace an old Toshiba laptop not.

The problem I have is that I can't connect external devices such as TV, projector, or a monitor.
I used another laptop in the past with my TV and projector and have had no problems at all. I connected via the VGA port, as it is the only port with the exception of USB. Using a VGA cable, I tried all the settings that I have used in the past, but with no joy.
I did the setting in the display settings and the FN + F5, but nothing comes up on the external screens except no signal.

I tried to solve this problem for months and need help, please.

    Hello to everyone who reads,

I've had this laptop for about 12 months and a few days ago while trying to connect to the internet, she advised that I was not connected to my router.

I have another laptop, it connects well with wireless and it connects fine using the ethernet cable but wireless!
Especially, when I switch the radio power on/off using the small switch on the front the same symbol rises (the cell phone, red circle with a red slash through it, then the sign of the internet!)

I tried the update of the driver for the Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network wireless adapt and not much happened!

I'm not in portable computers in a big way so any advise given better would become simple?
I saw some stuff about the removal of the cards and other things? but I don't know where to start!

Is it a common thing with these laptops?

  • USB 3.0 does not work on my Satellite Pro L50

    Hello boffins.

I have a problem with the driver for the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible host controller on my L50 (running Win7 64 bit).

I recently took my L50 Pro Satelite (PSKK3A-001001) to the repair shop because the blue ports were not running at speeds of USB 3.0 when I plugged a USB 3.0 compatible device (a WD 1 TB HARD drive). When I looked in the device tab "Display connection" Manager, HARD drive showed as connected to the ordinary C220 USB hub which is for USB.2.0. USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller has been inactive.

The technician in the repair shop said:

+ I tested your machine with a new installation of Windows 8 and have been able to achieve speeds to 180 MB/s of my FlashDrive USB 3.0 without problem, which indicates that it is a matter of faulty software. We can improve your Windows 8 machine free of charge if you prefer, but I'm unable to solve the problem in Windows 7. From what I can tell, and what you have experienced, no published 3.0 for Windows 7 USB drivers can recognize the 3 USB ports installed as a USB 3 connection. If you are wanting to stick with Windows 7, I can't guarantee that you will reach speeds of USB 3.0 by using these ports. +

It's not really good enough, Toshiba. Now, I bought this machine specifically with pre-installed Win7 (because Win8 is rubbish) that I wanted a machine Win7, including USB 3.0 ports. This machine has been published as such, having Win7 installed with 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 1 x USB 2.0. This is confirmed by the page of the specifications of Toshiba here: [http://www.mytoshiba.co.nz/support/computers/satellite/pro/l50/pskk3a-001001/specifications].

So, my question is this: why this machine is the drivers needed to run it as advertised (i.e. under Win7 with 2 ports USB 3.0 x and 1 x USB 2.0) and if there are drivers for this device available, where are they? I tried and tried the repairman (I guess) but I'm still without a driver to run my USB 3.0 clocked ports. I tried age for the files to be transferred between pending devices.

Maybe someone can help me find a driver that works or Toshiba will clean up their act and produce a.

But you have installed Intel USB3.0 driver 2.0.0.102 version, right?

  • Satellite Pro L50 - load capacity of low battery

Satellite Pro L50, I got a warning box will appear from the Toshiba PC Health Monitor, who said

"Your battery charge ability is relatively poor.
After a period of time, the battery will lose its ability to perform in the max capacity & will need to be replaced. This is normal for the batteries. Click the help button for more information on the State of charge 'poor'. »

By clicking on the help button, said the State of the battery to a third load capacity.

Is this an indication that I need a new battery?
The laptop is only 4 months old & I have a few concerns. Comments appreciated

    Best regards, mrpringle.

If the laptop is 4 months old I recommend you to contact your dealer or directly the closest Toshiba sevice provider and explain the situation.

You should clarify this with them and maybe you will get new battery free.

Addresses and phone numbers, you can find on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/
Don't wait. Call the Toshiba service as soon as possible.

    Hello

Have you noticed the problem even if the laptop is not connected to the network and if you want to load your user profile on Windows 7?

If this isn't the case, then I guess that it has something to do with the network, and in this case, I recommend asking the network administrator for a few suggestions.

  • Satellite Pro L50 - A does not illuminate

    Hello

I took a few steps on this forum but no luck so far...

My L50 - A Satellite Pro was working fine up until yesterday, but today, only it just won't turn on. A small orange led light appears when I connect to the power cable...

That's what I've done so far-

    1 power cable removed
    2. using a needle, pressed force shutdown (stop) at the bottom for 10-12 seconds
    3. then I pressed the start/power button on the front for 60 to 70 seconds
    4. I have connected the feeder and then to new press button start / stop at the front for 60 to 70 seconds

Yet the laptop does not start!

    any suggestions?

    Thank you

Hmmmmmm... It is not easy to say what the problem is here.
Have you used your computer laptop usual ot, you might update something?
In general, there are steps that you did which could be responsible for your problem?

  • Satellite Pro L300 - may not always connect to the same strong connection router

I currently have a Satellite Pro L300-155. At work, the WIFI signal is strong everywhere where I am in the building because we have 2 WIFI connections. However, I can connect okay in 1 room but if I just go in the other room, I'm unable to connect - and the connection is still strong. This also happens intermittently at home.
Is it of diagnostics that I can run on the Toshiba to test wifi?

Where can I find what chip it is? Where is the wifi location - on a motherboard, etc?
Can it be replaced and where I could quote from?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi cooky44,

In my opinion, you should update the routers firmware and update your WLAN driver.

Furthermore, I have created an interesting document on improvements to WLAN connection:

    Hello

Your laptop satellite L50-B05D belongs to the PSKTAA series and this series was only released in Australia.

But the similar series of portable Satellite L50 - B PSKTAE is released in Europe.
The drivers of the EU Toshiba driver page should be compatible.

  • Satellite Pro L50 - a: how to replace the memory, HARD drive and battery

I just uploaded 2 new video from Youtube on the L50 - A. Satellite Pro

The first is a tear down showing how to replace the memory, hard drive and battery (you can also clean the fan if it detects overheating).

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=IG0lW7t92bI

BTW why they made it so difficult to get just to the battery in this model?

WARNING - proceed at your own risk and don't forget static precautions!

Hope they help and if you have any questions let me know.

+ The message was edited: link has been removed ad channel may not +.

Thanks for these videos. It may be useful to replace the memory, but I think that the owners of the laptop should not open the case. This may void the warranty.
    Be careful about this.

  • Satellite Pro L50 - A - does not function keys

    Hello

I just bought the L50, but the function button did not work. I tried to reboot, reinstall the utilities, but it did not help.

I couldn't find the "restart flash card" also. Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

    > I just bought the L50, but the function button didn't work

What system do you use or what system was preinstalled on this laptop?
As far as I know a few L50 - A Satellite Pro have been pre-installed with Win 7 and Win 8 DVD could be found in the package

The fact is that Win 7 and Win 8 are two different systems and different Toshiba tools are needed to get the FN button work.

    Your comments would be appreciated.

  • Satellite Pro M70-132: excellent WiFi connection but the pings are slow

    Hi all...
My Satellite Pro M70-132 have problems with Wi - Fi connections (WiFi built in)... Generally, when the connection is excellent (indicator of windows), the pings are slow - very long time: 1212ms, 325ms, 645ms, 2112ms, 91ms, s 168ms... etc 'demand time limit has expired' (or sth like this).
I have updated with the latest version of the Intel WiFi driver - it does not work...
I installed new system - it does not work...

Is it possible, that LAN WiFi is dead on my M70-132? How can I check before sending my 'Toshi' to the service?

(BTW - built-in Bluetooth has been switched off...)

I was tempted to access with several AP and also ad hoc. Every time, same results... connection strong-great but pings are slow... and often ping timeout...

The IP address has been set manually and automatically - it does not work... too multidimensional :-(

It's not metter WEP encryption is enabled, 'on' or 'off' and no authentication method does not change the situation with WLAN...

    Hello

If the work of WLan connection and you are connected to the router so I guess everything's ok.
Time to ping depends on not always the strength of the signal.

If you ping other ip on the net if the time depends on the provider and type of connection.
But if you ping your WLan router and it s very slow so it s a bit strange.

If you think there could be something wrong with the Wlan card then you can try asking for help ASP.

  • Satellite Pro L550 - Realtek RTL8191SE Wlan connection issues

    Hello

Affected by a big problem with my WLAN connection which is ongoing for about a month.
I have problems with a very inconsistent connection.

To start, turn on the laptop of its climate 50-50 I'll successfully connect to my internet. Once connected I constantly disconnect and reconnect, never reached a point of stability, as long as possible without hitch is about 30 minutes, and after this point it will repeat the process above in one or two minutes, making it impossible internet usage.

After following various checks, I can confirm that this is NOT a router problem:

-Several other devices around the home connect without the same problem
-Have you tried the reset and restarted both modem and router without result
-Used new Ethernet cables and checked the other son of bends or damage
-Tried to change the frequency of router and the channel for better connectivity with no result
-Tried to change the location of the router, the closest pass to the laptop for a greater power of the signal without any positive results

Whenever he logs off, I go through a laborious task repetitive troubleshooting and although sometimes it solves the problem, so that it does only temporarily.

Updates on computer and controls are as follows:

-Install the latest drivers for my network card
-The latest version of the BIOS for my laptop
-J' tried UN-installing software and remove driver in Device Manager in the case of a corrupted driver, after re-booting works temporarily and then breaks down in the first 5 minutes
-Tried using windows troubleshooting, which sometimes displays a message on my gateway by default, I don't know what that means well as
-Tried to use other means of verification, connectivity doctor etc., no results
    -Tried to reset network cards
-Tried to use an earlier version of the network card to check if the new drivers were the problem - no result
-Tried resetting IP addresses IP conflict with other devices in the House, no results
    -Played hundreds of reboots

I would like to point out that when using the LAN on my laptop my connection is quite well and I have the experience without interruption, I have also contacted my ISP to ask if there is ongoing network maintenance tasks and check if the internet I receive is consistent.

    Computer laptop specifications: -.

    Toshiba Satellite Pro L550
    Network card: Realtek RTL8191SE
    OS: Windows 7 x32bit

The whole process is infuriating and I am at my wits end as to what to do, is, fuck my network card?

    NB:

This could be a problem as the dust inside my computer laptop on the map, causing interference?
The problem is much more prolific when I use Skype - might be a bandwidth issue?

Open to the suggestions of many, and any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

And all this occur with clean Windows 7 preinstalled that you got with your laptop (factory settings)?

  • Satellite Pro A100-828 refuses to connect to the internet with modem MDA Vario 2

I have an Equium A60 which I use regularly as a modem for mobile internet access. Still, it connects to my MDA VARIO 2 (HTC Tytn) and gives quick access.
However I just bought a Satellite pro a100-828 who, for some reason, refuses to connect to the internet through this phone.

T-mobile want nothing to do with the problem and that it is a conflict between the phone and the bluetooth stack Toshiba. The phone has always look like that is going to connect and then to computer recording connected to the screen network switches the modem feature phone.

As you can guess I'm sitting at the old equium typing this so if anyone can shed some light on this I would be very happy?

I tried to uninstall the bluetooth stack.

The fact that your old Equium was connected via BT to this modem?
Perhaps a Bluetooth stack of new version of battery BT facility allows or you can try to use the same version of BT stack that is installed on the old notebook
