  A Satellite Pro 4320 will not feed, DC-in light is on (green), with inserted (quite old) battery, the quickly flashes orange, (charge of compensation, according to manual) battery.   I just hand on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 480CDT

  I had to work with the original power supply (on an inverter plugged into my 12v cars I wasn't close to 240 v power outlet)

  It worked very well, it boots into Windows 98 and I played with a few programs (Media Player and defragmentation)

  I got it defragment for about 5 minutes, while charging via the car converter, however it froze and I had to hold the power button to restart.

  When I tried to next turn on the screen remains empty, the hard drive is not turn and there is only the power LED and battery LED that lights up.

  He let me press the function key that lights up the fn LED on top of the keyboard, but then after a few presses of lighting stops.

  But if we move to a diagnosis of material, I doubt someone here might be able to point in the right direction if his motherboard problem, it would be really difficult to solve this problem without using special tools, circuit diagram of motherboard and of course experience

  Turn the laptop over and unscrew the cover on the ram. Then remove the ram and try to turn it on again. If it lights, put the piston inside the laptop and try again. It does not turn on?   Config of RAM is default of 1 x 4 GB memory DDR3 12800 1 use slot 1 slot free
  I removed 4GB and install 1 DDR3L 12800 8 GB but it does not start.

  Hope you can help. We have a 5 years satellite pro L20 who never gave a lot of days. It runs from Win XP, had an upgrade (crucial) memory to 2 GB and a new battery 4 years ago 4 years ago. 2 days ago, he simply left with the same noise you get when force a shutdown by holding the power button down.   When you use FN + F11 small control LED must be lit and the keypad must be enabled.
  If your laptop is preinstalled with Toshiba recovery image this option SHOULD work correctly.

  So nobody here knows what you did with your laptop and why these options are not available more.
  Before you start with advice how to get this working again once please let us know what operating system is preinstalled on your Satellite Pro U400.
