Satellite Pro P100 - support for 4 GB of RAM in Win7 64 and Intel Virtualization

Hello to the members of the forum,

I have the Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAHE - 002001GR) and I installed the WIN 7 Enterprise 64 free trial. I have Modules of memory 2 x 2 GB Corsair, a T7400 processor and Bios version 4.7. Everything works fine without their memory. Known BIOS all 4 GB, Windows see it uses but only 3 GB. I know im not alone with this problem, but I have not found a solution to solve it. In msconfig, all right, there's max, and the number of processors. RAM not activated.

If someone knows a way to work to use all 4 GB of installed Ram?

I would be much obliged if anyone can help.

Something else. Intel VT - X is not enabled by BIOS. Also, there is no option to do this. When I bought the laptop it is a feature that I want to use, and now the BIOS does not support it. Why didn't pay much for the laptop so characteristic specific card do not work propably?

Thanks to everyone for reading my post and want to help.

SOFC

Hello

Perhaps than that you seem stupid now, but I think that this model laptop was never supported for 64-bit operating systems, and I think the BIOS is also not designed for this.
If you wish, you can call Toshiba nearest service and ask for help. They have access to the database of Toshiba and they can check it for you.

    Hello

    (1) it is very strange because the satellite Pro P100 was equipped Gbit Lan card and you should be able to use it. I think there could be some bad LAN setting in Lan Card Properties. Check it! You can access it in the Device Manager-> ECS-> Lan card-> properties. It is then a new window and you will find the different tabs. Here check the Advanced tab

    (2) what to say, Toshiba seems different designs for laptop series with different hardware configurations. Your P100 was not equipped with the internal mic. This is why you must use an external mic.

    (3) sorry, buddy, but I do not agree with you.
This isn't a hardware problem. You use the keyboard language settings simply false. Yes! It s a matter of adjustment.
I assume that you use the English (United Kingdom) and non-English (United States).

    Hey there...

New problem. I just got the New Age of Conan game.
This game recommended that I upgrade my drivers for my gfx card, as the drivers I have are known to be unstable.
Now, I tried looking for these drivers on Toshibas as well as the NVIDIAs Web sites.
    No luck.

    My lappie information:

    [Information on PC]
    Model name Satellite Pro P100
    Part number PSPA4E-00U00KED
Version of the OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2

    Thanks in advance!

What to say the graphics drivers that are published on the Toshiba page are the latest graphic drivers available from Toshiba

If this driver is not compatible with your game, then the last resort might be a driver a 3rd party site.

These drivers may be used only at your own risk but using the 3rd GPU driver may cause overheating of the GPU chip.

    Welcome them

The Satellite Pro P100 supports a SATA HDD controller and in my opinion a 2.5 SATA HDD 320 would be compatible.

    Hello

I'm looking for drivers for the PSPA4E. The reason is to improve the units from XP Home to XP PRO.

Thank you very much for reading this

    Hello

I guess that you are talking about PSPA4E, the Satellite Pro P100
Well, this is a whole new notebook from Toshiba and it was delivered with the latest drivers.
I think that all newer drivers are preinstalled on the laptop.

I'm sure that if the new version of the pilot will be available if you can download it from this page:

Purchased two items at the same time, but are completely incompatible or so it seems, what should I do.
Toshiba seem to be incapable of any suitable option!

Any one out there can help please.

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite Pro P100 support the
    -Port VGA (monitor)
This 15 port pins you allows to connect an external video monitor to the computer

-Port DVI (monitor), this is optional and not supported by all Satellite Pro P100
This port allows you to connect an external video monitor to the computer via a DVIcable

    -S-video output port TV
This s-video out port allows you to connect a TV to cable s-video computer vista 4 pins.
This port returns the NTSC or PAL signal.

I put t know what port/cable from the projector supports, but generally, it should be possible to connect this projector to the VGA or DVI port.

    Good bye

  • Drivers Toshiba for Windows XP Home edition and VISTA fpr a Satellite Pro P100 - PSPAH

    Hello.

I need help. I bought a Satellite pro P100 - PSPAH with Vista Premium Home edition version of recovery. Now, I want to install a second operating system such as Windows XP Home edition on this laptop. The problem is that Windows XP Home edition did not find 3 drivers. For sound, LAN and another device. For this reason I update my notebook with the latest chipset drivers, but the problem is still there. Vista now has problems with the drivers, too. I can't find the special driver on toshiba home page.

    Jens MFG

    Hello

I understand your problem at the moment that I also prefer XP instead of Vista operating system.
Vista needs simply too many resources for laptop and all applications and 3rd devices are not 100% supported by Vista.

But what say man seems to find compatible drivers on chip manufacturing sites.
Download and install a tool called Everest or other similar hardware diagnostic tool and try to find out what LAN and sound chips are used in your laptop!
Then, you can search drivers Intel, Realtek, etc... pages

You know the website driver Toshiba Canada?
    http://209.167.114.38/support/download/ln_byModel.asp

There you will find also some Pro P100 series. Try these drivers. It's worth a try.

  • Official release of the drivers XP and Vista for Satellite Pro P100 - 465 PSPAEE

When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Upgrade and pilots work, but two of the pilot applications are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I couldn't get no option to allow to these (not yet classified MS so they are locked) told me to disable Defender technical support!
I tried a clean install of my own version of Vista business and had problems of drivers with that as well.

I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more effective I would use drivers specifically for her, so time would be very useful.

I would also like to know why there is a where a finger scanner could go under the 0 on the keypad, and a blocked stop lower PCMCIA port (PCI-E?) when any of these are available as an upgrade option? I missed these upgrade options or is it a case of recycled from another model, they exist? If the latter then it is quite cheap for a new machine :)

    Hello

We have all the users here can suggest only it seems that Vista and XP drivers are already available for Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near future

I don t see it differently as to wait

Of course, you can test different drivers from different series as Sat P100.
Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible

I need for my his laptop and drivers for the Modem.

    Thanks for the help

Edit: I come from Germany, sorry for my bad English. :)

I presume you bought Satellite P100 and no Satellite Pro P100. Am I wrong?

In any case, if your P100 laptop is Vista preinstalled laptop, you may have problem because right now all new laptops Vista are not taken WXP supported. Of course, it will take a little time to have drivers of Windows XP Home edition.

  • Vista 64 bit need drivers for Satellite Pro P100

    Hello

I have a question about the drivers for the 64 bit version of Vista. I have a portable Satellite Pro P100 and search in the catalogue of drivers and find only an update of the BIOS for 64-bit systems.
But where can I find the hardware drivers for the 64-bit versions?

    Concerning

    Mischa

Toshiba doesn t offer drivers for Vista 64 bit and this model, so you must search on external websites for drivers.
It is the only way to get the drivers:

    For example:

    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

  • What Win XP driver is required for the port DV on a Satellite Pro P100

Which driver "specifically" is held by Win XP on a Satellite Pro P100 DV port?
Toshiba provides this driver on the download page?

Win XP does not recognize the camera into the DV port.
It does not recognize the camera a few months ago but not detect it when it is connected.

I don't know what changes have been made since then. Can I simply re - install the proper drivers?

    Thanks in advance.
    Tom

    Hello

DV port? Do you mean the iLink (firewire port)?
    You have a camcorder?

I can connect my camcorder to the laptop using the firewire cable and firewire port.
There is no special driver for the firewire port. The Windows operating system contains the own drivers that control this port.

Maybe you should remove the device and then Manager should restart the operating system. This allows to recognize the FireWire again

Sorry these issues but I m a bit confused. As far as I know graphics card is part of mainborad and cannot be replaced separately.

My Satellite Pro P100 (PSPAAE) has a firewire Jack, but I see no sign of a driver on the download page.

I missing something or don't have a Toshiba again release a firewire driver?

    Hello

The firewire IEEE 1394 port doesn't have any particular third-party drivers 3rd!
This port uses and needs a simple common Microsoft OS driver.

Check the Device Manager and I'm sure the firewire port will display correctly
