Satellite R630-14 t - battery charge time

My point of view Satellite R630-14 t 5 hours to recharge the battery. It is a normal time or not?
Normally how long does take to recharge the battery for the low level of the batteries at the point of full battery on Satellite R630-14 t?

Hey,.

Usually the charging time is described in the user manual.

Did you check it how long it takes to charge the battery?

At the same time, I use a USB mouse, and I disabled the touch pad using the Fn + F9 Tin order to eliminate the problem.
Disable the USB mouse using the internal keyboard to score in the option panel-> mouse menu.

Currently installed Synaptics 15.0.12.0 driver version dated the 11.03.2010.

If I understand your question, the touchpad icon appear while typing and this can be solved temporarily disable the touchpad by pressing the FN + F9.
    Is this correct?

To my knowledge, you can disable the touchpad while typing by selecting the option in the control panel > mouse-> tab device pointing (in some cases its Advanced tab)-> setting button

There are area called operations during key entry
And here, you can choose the option is called tapping to disable and turn off scroll function

  • Changing the setting of 80% to 100% on the Satellite Z30-A-104 battery charging

    Hello

I used my Z30 Satellite primarily as a desktop till now (the charger is still plugged).
One day I got a popup option to increase the life of the battery (charge only up to 80%) and I accepted the option.

But now, I'll be traveling and can't reset this option.

I want to charge the battery to 100% and be able to take advantage of longer battery life.
    How is that possible? Help!

    See you soon

    Hello

I think that you have changed this setting in battery Toshiba Manager c++.
    You must disable Mode "Eco-responsible".

  • Satellite R630-145 - low battery life

    Hi all!

R630-145 description said that it is the battery can be active for more than 8 hours. But battery in my laptop (I bought 30.12.10) works for 4 hours in most of the economic system and discharge even if R630-145 turns off.

It is this defective battery and I had to go to the repair center with request to change?

    Hello

    > But battery in my laptop (I bought 30.12.10) works for 4 hours in more economic regime

    Try this:

Unplug the computer from the power adapter and turn it on. Let the computer battery power until the computer turns off, indicating that the battery is fully discharged.
    Remove the battery.
Using a soft cloth, wipe the battery packs connectors and AC adapters.
    Reinsert the battery.
Plug the power adapter of the computer
When the PC is off, let the battery charge complete
    Disconnect the power adapter.
    Remove the battery.
Wait 30 seconds and reinsert the battery.
    Reconnect the AC adapter.
Let the battery recharge until the battery icon displays 100%.

    > and discharge even if R630-145 off.

Mine is also releases even if the laptop off. There is nothing strange

If mentioned above does not help you, you can contact the service center.

  • Satellite R630 - fan runs all the time

    Hello everyone,

I have a Satellite R630, and I'm happy with it. But there is one thing that makes me angry... the fan! It runs ALL the time. I browse a little... the fan works. I work with the office, or something... the fan works. To clarify: the CPU is not used, there is no heavy processes running, and the Notebook\CPU is cool. There is no reason why the fan should work, all the laptops that I had before where calm in the same situations. Of course it is not a problem if it starts working if necessary (a game, looking for a HD video or something). But not without reason!

Someone at - it a solution for this problem? A tool to fix the fan speed\intervals manually, or better: an update of the bios (in the version 1.4 and 1.5 I can choose what I want... the fan did not stop execution). It is also quiet in Linux or any other operating system.

@Toshiba: (!) Please do something. The only solution for me right now is to return the laptop to the store. :-(

    Best regards
    Imk82

    Hello

Hmm... If you have already installed the latest BIOS updates, you should check the cooling of Windows Power management settings. Generally you can switch between different methods of cooling as you can read here:

  • Problem of Satellite A200 - 28 p/battery charger

    Hello

I had a power problem with my battery charger for a while sometimes it would charge when plugged in and others would not, so if I removed the charger to move the laptop it was a bet of 50 / 50 as to whether it would be instantly turn off or not.

This was not too much a problem as the laptop is not moved too often, but I recently returned home to find my charger did not work at all and the cell phone was off.

I managed to get hold of a replacement charger just to test it and I found that when it is plugged, flashing blue light which is usually strong watch the charger is plugged, and the times he has stayed solid and allowed me to boot up the laptop lasted almost a minute at best before shutting down completely not even enough time to get transfer important documents I have there.

Is buying a new battery is going to fix this, or is the problem more likely to be something inside the laptop to be replaced?

    Hello

I doubt that buy a new battery would solve your problem.
    Why?
Because the laptop should also work correctly using only the AC adapter.
So even if the battery is defective or dead, it should be possible to use the laptop connected to the network.

The laptop has a number of other power resources, including a smart power battery clock real time and these resources are closely linked and one could affect apparent power problems.

If the DC IN is blue, this means that the AC adapter is connected properly and the power supply correctly. If this is not the case, the adapter may be faulty or there is a problem with the electronic power supply on the motherboard.

So in this case, the power adapter must be tested if you are sure that the adapter is working properly, then there must be a problem with the motherboard to 100%.

  • Satellite L650 - 10 d - Question on battery charge time

    Hello!

Yesterday, I bought a Toshiba Satellite L650 - 10 d, and so I would like to know for how many hours the battery needs to load the first time.

Just one more question: do you think the advice I found [here | http://www.lovebattery.net/product_detail.asp?ID=5856]? In your opinion can I follow this advice without problems? Are they right?

    Looking forward to your reply,

    Thank you very much!

    Hey Buddy,

Everything you need to know about battery you can find in your user manual. You will find some tips on extending the battery life and how to maximize the battery life. Everything is described very clearly in my opinion.

In General, the battery is fully charged if the battery indicator displays the color to white.

  • Satellite M70-165 PSM70E - battery charging problem

    Hello
My laptop is a Satellite M70-165 PSM70E. I use Windows XP Home Edition. I recently bought a new battery and it is impossible to charge more than 50%. I have updated the BIOS to 1.70 (for non Windows Vista users) and I still have the problems mentioned above. I tried to dischage completely and charge it again, several times, with no luck.

    Is there a solution?

Another question. There is no 'EC' in the BIOS version, only "BIOS version 1.70". I hope there will be some calibration of the battery or the power management after the BIOS update, but there is no menu "Power Management" in the BIOS.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance.

    > recently bought a new battery and it is impossible to charge more than 50%

In my opinion the new battery is not OK.
You must consult an another new battery maybe you bought a battery already used?

    > Another question. There is no 'EC' in the BIOS version, only "BIOS version 1.70".
On the page of the Toshiba UE driver you can find a BIOS update.
I guess that this update contains the EC update too.

  • Satellite Pro L550-17R - battery operating time

I am looking to buy a Toshiba Satellite Pro L550-17R. I'm afraid that the battery life is not enough for my needs. I looked at the option part: -.
    Battery high capacity - Li-ion 12 cells 9000mAh PA3727U-1BRS.

Does anyone have an idea (realistic approximation for average use) how long the run time would be with this improved battery used in conjunction with the specified model laptop?

    Thank you.

    G.

    Hi mate,

I think that it of quite difficult to say something about it. Remaining time depends on many factors:
    -Screen brightness
    -The software you use
    CPU usage-
    -etc.

But I think a battery 12 cells should give you a good time. As far as I know this would be the maximum of cells at the moment.

  • Satellite M60 - 105 stopped battery charge

    Hello

I have an M60 which is now more than a year. Recently, my power adaptor stopped charging my battery so I replaced it with an equivalent adapter.

While initially it worked successfully, after a few days it thus ceased to charge my battery. The battery works fine as my laptop turns on but asks that I stopped him in order to prevent the loss of work etc.

The adapter also works very well because it works in a friends laptop without problem.

Have no idea what the problem is or how to fix this?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello Chris

To be honest I see no possibility to fix it alone. Be honest: what you can do in this case? Battery recharge is question of electronic power and if the battery is not correctly I'm afraid, it must be checked by the service.

I'm really interested if someone will put something on itself fixing.

    In any case good luck.

  • battery charge time

Phone: CLIQ XT (with the infamous and unacceptable OS 1.5 it seems that Motorola is pleased to tell me that I'm stuck with)

I hear many people is NOT good for the battery to leave it connected to a charger once the battery has reached 100% of fees, and yet I use mine, with the app PDANet to connect my PC to the internet (not a bad download speed, about 2.8 G down).

so, IS IT or IS IT NOT bad for the battery to stay connected when it is fully charged?

also, my charge all expenses falls before the end of each day and since I bought it. is this normal?

I appreciate any knowledge or advice provided by fellow victims, I mean, consumers.

    Glenn

OK, right - plugged into the PC I noticed is a much slower load, so I think it is less harmful to the battery life... Thanks for the help. you have passed the audition.

  • Charge time for Satellite click Mini L9W - B

    I have another question:

I noticed that in the first 5 months, the charge time for my click satellite mini was about 6-8 hours for two batteries. Now, it takes much more time. Currently, he is responsible for 13.5 hours and the keyboard battery is not yet completely load (I'll post the exact end time later...).

There may be a problem or is this normal? I mean that the charging time has almost doubled...

    Thanks in advance

AFAIK battery reach optimal performance, after some time of use... This means that the battery must be charged and discharged several times to reach the best level... but it also means that the battery charge time would increase...

So from my point of few, there is no reason to fear that something could be wrong with the battery... you know...

  • Satellite M70-122: the first time battery charge

    Hello...

I just bought a new M70-122. I have read all the user guide but could nowhere find the time I have to let it charge...

    Does anyone know?

In addition after a hour of charge blue light is already on? Normal = +/-3 h charging time...

What will happen? What should I do?

    Thank you very much...

    Simon

    Hello

If your laptop is running during the process of loading the battery if this charge will process much more time if the laptop shuts down.

More load time when the computer is turned on is affected by the ambient temperature, the temperature of the computer and how you use the device.
If you make heavy use of external devices battery sentence likely to be practiced at all during the operation.

In the user manual which must be preinstalled on your laptop, I found info on the charging time:
Battery with power on takes about 12 hours or more; power off about 3 h and more
RTC battery with power on and with the AC pack or the battery takes about 24 hours
