Satellite S stuck on auto-recovery

Hello so I was asleep, but didn't want to sleep and decided to put on an audio book lying down with my laptop on my thighs and I forgot that I had and I was shooting around it fell. Nothing is broken a lot of sounds, or whatever it is. Windows mind however.

When I turn on it then loads for a longer while and said something in the sense of a a problem we'll restart to collect information or something. Then it restarts goes in ASR, then this screen disappears and leaves just a gray screen, after some while waiting he goes in a loop, it restarts again and goes into automatic recovery

What should I do please help (write to the PC which has w7)

I don't know what victory has my laptop, when I looked in the online store, it says 8.1 when I look in the papers, it indicates 8 so I'm confused, maybe they just write 8 but it is really 8.1

HELP PLEASE! Thank you

Secure boot may have a problem with your Antivirus software.

Go into the BIOS and disable SECURE BOOT tab security, then try to start the system.

If still no luck, try to start Windows safe mode.

    Hello

The message looks like the laptop will not boot the disc.

The question is: is this a problem with the new recovery disks, or perhaps with Notepad

To be honest, I think his recovery disk problem, and maybe you will need contact the drive vendor to replace the recovery media.

    But before that, try this:
    Switch on and press F2.
Now you should be able to access the BIOS. Set the CD/DVD device in the first starting position here. Also, to clear the safe boot option from the UEFI CSM.
Now to boot from the recovery disc.

Would be interesting to know what is happening

  • Satellite A60-742 how a recovery facility

    Hello
I am about to sell my old laptop with Windows XP installed and ensured that all personal files and passwords are removed before as I do.

I think that the best solution is to reinstall XP completely, but I don't remember if she got with a recovery cd or if she has a hidden partition.
So I wonder what I'm doing to make a full recovery from the XP that came with the laptop without CD?

    Thank you

Satellite A60 came with a recovery CD, and this image is not stored anywhere on the laptop or the hidden partition.
So the only way to reinstall Windows with all the drivers and tools for Toshiba is to use the recovery CD.
You can order such a CD on Toshiba:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

You can also do is to install Windows XP with a Microsoft installation disc, but then you must download and install all the drivers. It takes much more time.

Only portable computers that are shipped with Windows Vista can be recovered with the HARD drive because there are also stored image above.

  • Satellite C660-15r stucks and without recovery possible

    Hello

I hope someone can help me or who knows what to do. I have the Satellite C660-15r it been shut down correctly, but when put back come with start windows normally, as if it was interrupted, I clicked ok for that but instead of loading, let's make some kind of recovery only he was not able to complete this and rather said there is nothing to recover.

It is stuck at it and will go no further, says administration system to log in however its not allowing to connect or to do anything about this or off farm then restart, I tried factory reset, but it will not work at all I've tried several attempts with 0 and other options, told me it does not work , but I can get up f2 and f8 loading up all that works well but I find no option to factory reset. It gives me options to recover, but they take the same screen with no improvement and safe mode does not work.

I hope someone can help me I will be very grateful.

    Thank you in advance.

    Shell :)

At first, I must say that recovery option is available if the laptop to factory settings. After reading your ad I n don't know if you still use OS install of origin that you got with your laptop or maybe the OS preinstalled on your own.

I assume that you did not create a media recovery (DVD) use pre-installed Toshiba recovery media creator, right?
In the use of your disk recovery situation could be simpler to solve this problem and install original recovery image.

Can you please post model mobile exact?

  • Satellite C855 stuck on the preparation of the auto repair when starting

My laptop has been slaughtered like this for two days now. I have searched and tried all sorts of sites re come rations, but nothing seems to work. I tried the F2 button that takes me to the Setup utility, but no start in the safe mode option is there. So I tried the F12 key and tried the boot menu, but nothing works either.

Do - what I need to do to solve this problem, I don't have the startup disk?
Can I recover my data from the hard drive?

What system you have, and it's a factory system pre-installed?

In case you have a system Win 8, follow this work around:
Turn on the unit and press F12
Now you should see the start menu. The last option should appear as a HARD drive recovery.
Choose HARD drive recovery and begin the process of recovery which would fix the laptop back to factory settings.

But be careful: in this case the HARD disk will be formatted and you will lose data.

In the case of Win 7, try this:
Turn the unit on and press F8
    Now choose fix my computer
Here, in the new window select Toshiba HDD recovery.
This will start the recovery process and will the laptop to factory settings.

  • Satellite T130 - Toshiba create USB recovery

    Hello.

    This is the situation:

I have laptop Toshiba T130 with no DVD player. After installing Win7, I shrunk the partition D tool in Win7 and used the free space to install Linux with GRUB. Then I shrunk the partition also C by Win7 tool and free space to create another. This however told me something about the dynamic disk or something...

But he has somehow broken GRUB so I decided to reinstall Linux. But the scores have been somehow broken, but I installed Linux on the last partition. Since then I could not start Windows or repair because partition D has actually been removed!
The C with Win7 partition seemed intact.

Trying to fix the computer and try to start trouble, I got error 0 x 090 or something with partition table error. So therefore, I deliberately decided to create the new partition with Gparted that off my HARD drive. Then I put in place the new partitions: 3 x NTFS, (400 MB recovery, partition Win7 and another) + extended partition containing the NTFS partition + ext4 partition, swap.

Then I copied the hidden files (that I had saved earlier) in a hidden partition on the HDD laptop + I copied folder of Toshiba 3rd NTFS partition recovery (I had backed up the files immediately after obtaining of the laptop).

Now, I'm stuck with 0xc000000e error when you try to start. I also followed this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=53952&tstart=15

Can you help me with Win7 Starter? And what program to use to make Win7 64 bit USB bootable recovery CD? I tried unetbootin and USB, but they did not...

Any advice will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you very much!

Oh mann what are you do is incredible. ;)
The entire structure of the HARD disk is now screwed upward. I m just wondering why you did that on this small Satellite T130.
I mean it's OK all what are you do and you can do what you want with your machine, but my personal opinion is you're wrong for laptop for all of this.

Satellite T130 is small ultra portable laptop designed to offer the maximum of mobility and offer long battery life, when you are out of office or travel through. So I think that the most important thing for this laptop is well installed and configured the operating system that runs stabile and with the minimum of consumption of energy. This laptop doesn t have the optical disk drive and the overall situation is more complicated if the factory settings are changed.

You now have on the HARD drive is nothing but the jungle and to me, it seems pretty confusing.
If you checked s user manuals document you can find the exact explanation, what can be done with the recovery image saved on the second partition and what type of recovery media can be created.

Recovery image is not designed for use with third-party applications part so it can be problematic to create USB recovery drive.
Thread you link posted is better thread on this topic and if this will not help I really don't know what you can, except for ordering original Toshiba recovery DVD and make the installation of OS to get the factory settings again.

  • Satellite L500D - 16L - no disk recovery Windows 7 64 bit included

    Hi all

I'm curious... I bought this laptop a while a go and was browsing the Web from Toshiba site and it says that this laptop should have Windows 64 bit on it. I thought just is it possible to install my own copy of Windows? Usually I'm stuck sort of encrypted messages as this copy of Windows may not be installed on this laptop or something or where can I get an official copy of windows which must go with this laptop?

    Hi whipser1,

I checked the specs on the site Web of Toshiba Satellite L500D - 16L and 64-bit Windows 7 is pre-installed, but you can also get a recovery with Windows 7 32 bit disc.

So what version of Windows 7 is currently installed?

If Windows 7 64 bit is installed you can create the recovery disc yourself for the 64-bit version. Therefore, to start the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator and follow the instructions on the screen. You just need a few blank DVDs to create the disks I recommend DVD-R from Verbatim or TDK media.

    Check this box!

  • Re: Satellite L650 stuck Startup Repair mode

    Hello

I was asked to look at the Satellite L650 laptop for a friend because they could not get going.
Not sure they did before me do yesterday, as far as I know, it's that they couldn't turn it on. I wanted to get into Safe Mode, but it went to the Startup Repair Mode and is stuck in this at all times.

It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Have you tried from the DVD player, but it is up to the use of the hard drive, even tried running in my network, but without a bit of luck.

It does not go to the repair step because it gives me the opportunity to enter a password.

Someone at - it ideas how I can work around this problem, you can.

    HAL

    Hello

I think you have only two options here:
    (1) you are going to use HARD drive recovery options
    (2) or you can start the recovery using the recovery disk

    For HARD drive recovery:

    Recovery disk:
A friend created one in the past?
Isn't it? Well, the new disc can be ordered here:

  • Satellite L750 - stuck on the Realtek card reader

    Hello

I just got a Toshiba Satellite L750 / 00K and I turned it on for the first time. He asked about the recovery and I chose 64-bit, and then on the settings in the box. It restarted once then I left it to charge. I came back and he was stuck on the Realtek card reader. It has been like this for maybe 2 hours, I can move the mouse but nothing has changed. He said that commissioning could take some time but I don't know if something is wrong. Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

Installation of recovery can take a very long time. In your case I'd wait a bit more.

If it helps doesn t you should try to start installing recovery again. You can do this if you access Windows Advanced Boot menu and select Repair my computer.

  • Cannot restore Satellite 2415 - S205 from the recovery CD

My laptop model is Satellite 2415-S205.

I used the CD recovery of three in the past to restore my computer to factory settings and they worked without any problems.

Earlier today, I tried to repeat this same process, and, for some reason, it didn't work. The first disc is loaded without problems. But then once asked that the second CD and I put in it, it gave me an error saying: "version mono user cannot make multiple loads.

What it means? I tried to remove the disc and just put it back in several times and it won't work. I'm basically stuck in the middle of the recovery process and I can not do something. And I'm afraid to turn off the computer, because the instructions that come with the States of the CD that you should not stop the process once it is started because it will seriously damage your system.

What is the cause? What should I do? I really need help!

    Using Toshiba recovery disks?

Maybe his detects a previous installation or something. Try to remove all partitions on the HARD disk and re-run recovery.

You can use a floppy MSDOS with FDISK to delete partitions non-dos.

  • Satellite T130 - stuck on the loading screen - new hard drive required

After a message on the screen saying back up your hard drive, it will fail quickly and pressing F1 it seems so stuck on the loading screen. I'm not too good with computers. I just have to buy a new hard drive to get the laptop working again, or is much more complicated than that. My guess is this one.

Thanks in advance for any help provided

The first question is: did you create recovery media (USB key)?
If do not do this if for a long time your HARD drive works OK. original recovery image is saved on the HARD drive, but you must have it USB backup that you can use to install if the disk needs to be replaced.
Do it as soon as possible. More info on what you can read in s operating manuals.

What to do with the HARD drive? In my opinion if long as it works it has no reason to panic. Use your laptop as usual. If you notice some performance or more error messages problems I think that you should replace it.

Replacing the HARD drive doesn't have to be so problematic. HARD drive cover must be placed in the lower corner of your laptop. The smallest is RAM and cotyledon should be for the HARD drive. Check it out.

Before do you that this is remove the battery and unplug your computer laptop AC adapter / CC.

If you have no experience with such things please don't made some risky step. You can damage something.

  • Satellite L505-141 - Purchas of recovery disk

    Hi guys,.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L505-141 (Ser: 3A027302K), but unfortunately he had a problem and my broken hard drive.
I have change the drive hard and after that, I realized that I have my restore disk as well.

I found that I can order the CD by (https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/) but this site is to ship it in Europe and at the moment I'm living in Australia. In the billing details, I can't choose the Australia.

So, my question is if it is possible I can upload an image (by buying of course)?
If not, how I can put in place a delivery address in Australia?

    Thanks in advance

    > So my question is if it is possible I can upload an image (by buying of course)?
Now, to my knowledge it of not possible to download the recovery image

    > If not how I can put in place a delivery address in Australia?
I think the delivery in regions other than Europe isn't possible and I think that the European disc of recovery for laptops models cannot be operated outside of Europe.

  • Satellite A300D-15B - obtaining a recovery after the removal of score media

    Hello

I'm trying to find a way to get the recovery CD/DVD for a Satellite A300D-15B. Recently, it has contracted a number of virus and become non-functional. I did not know the recovery partition of HARD drive and stupidly deleted recovery option while re-installing windows. The new facility, however, don't show the good drivers (of course) and is even the wrong version of Windows Vista, so the product key does not (Enterprise vs Home Premium). How can I get new media of recovery? I tried the Toshiba Web site but I did have a lot of luck.

    Thanks much for any help!

Original Toshiba recovery disc can be ordered under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
    Check it out.

  • Satellite M45: Can I do recovery without disk

    Hello

My DVD player does not work because of the VCD virtual drive program. (I hate this prog)
When I try to uninstall Virtual VCD, everything goes crazy and no executable can be run.

So I have to install the original image using the image on the HARD drive.
I did dozens of times on other laptops (CTRL + F11) but I could not know how I can do it on my Toshiba Satellite M45.

    I appreciate your help
    Thank you

    > Can I do recovery without the disc?

What to say I created a clean image of the operating system file using Norton Ghost utility and saved this file on the second partition.
In this case I can still use this image file to restore the C partition any and I do not need the recovery CD.

I ve made a good experience with utility Ghost and in my opinion it s one of the best tools to create images and backups.

    Best regards
