Satellite U500 - mouse button loose

The left button of the mouse under the touchpad on my laptop has become loose.

Is it possible to set / get a replacement?

The warranty runs out in December.

See you soon

Of course. If the warranty is still valid contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help.
The warranty is valid until December, right?

They will check this and if there is mechanical problem they will repair it for free.

I just bought a laptop L850, but because I have little strength due to disability, it is difficult to click on the buttons of my mouse. Is there a way to relax (maybe even by opening the laptop and remove the spring)?

    Thank you.

As far as I know, you cannot change anything. On some machines touchpad buttons are simply more difficult and depends on the construction. I m afraid you must live with it.

  • Satellite U500: Volume + button glue IT when it is connected to the power adapter

I have a problem with the touch buttons on my U500. I have already returned the first laptop that I bought for the Exchange.

    The question is this:
When the power cord is connected (without worrying if connected to the wall) the "Volume +" button will stick THERE.
The volume will continue to rise, it cannot be muted or turned down as the + keeps repeating.
Without the power cable inserted the works of buttons as expected (normally).

I made the new installation of recovery discs - do not set (under Vista)
Then another new installation Win7 upgrade and this new PC is having the same problem.
At first, I thought a hardware fault (the new PC worked fine for awhile).
But now the second PC has the same symptoms I suspect a software/driver problem.

I've seen suggestions for similar questions to:
Re-install "Toshiba common Modules" but I can't find it on the support site for U500 in Australia.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all.

  • Satellite U500 - physical button won't turn wireless power adapters

Ladies and gentlemen, it is a little weird.

For some reason, the physical power button on the front of U500 my wife will not turn adabters WLAN and Bluetooth enabled or disabled without a hard reboot.

If I swtich off button and the LED next to her remains on the cards continue to run and will not actually switch off unless I restart the machine and even if I turn the back button.

We know so at least the hardware itself works, but it really does work. I went through all of the software drivers and setting I could think of that could cause this, but haven't found anything abnormal. What do you think is happening here?

    TIA,

We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro T130-15F which presents a strange problem when any user logs on to the laptop and they try and use the left button of the mouse on the laptop it works like the right mouse button, if the laptop is not a left mouse button to work as a left and right work as right button.

I tried to rebuild the laptop several times I tried also to restore the bios default settings, I would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas on this.

You can connect the usb mouse to check how it will act? If the usb mouse works properly, it may be malfunction of touchpad.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite U500 two days ago and already problems :(

It has a control buttons sensitive contact, which includes the eco, the media buttons and the volume control utility (+ and -)
The volume buttons do not work, and sometimes the computer crashes to their contact. Once I touch the-, he begins to turn volume down until it reaches zero, and even if I turn it up using windows, back to zero (as if the button is still depressed). The + does not work.

Great news. Thanks for the comments!

    Hello world

I hope I can find a solution for my problems here.

    I bought a new Toshiba Satellite U500 (PSU9ME),
I'm updating my laptop regularly whenever I get alert through TEMPRO or Toshiba service center.

Last week I received an alert to updat the BIOS and I did. Since then, I've noticed the following problems:

1 eco utility does not work, and when I tried to uninstall, it says (not supported BIOS)
    2. on screen funtion buttons that appear at the top of the screen when you press the Fn key no longer not apear
    3. the touchpad lock / unlock button does not work, and even by pressing Fn + F9 doesnot lock

I hope you can give me an answer about my problems,
I already downloaded the latest updates for the eco and value-added packege of the toshiba site and install,

    BUT

The bar of buttons on the top of the screen does not (even after I uninstall the package of value of toshiba and re - install the last being) and the locking/unlocking back touch button does not work.

    Windows 7 (64)

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    First one comment:
    * I am updating my laptop regularly whenever I get alert through TEMPRO or Toshiba service center. *
That s is nice, but certainly not necessary. When the system is working, do not touch or change anything. Maybe stupid sounds now, but I recommend you to remove the TEMPRO system. Believe me you don't need. I have 2 years old Satellite A300 and original BIOS. It works perfectly and I don't want to take any chances and to change what anyone. Since last month, I have the Satellite U500-1EX and will do the same. TEMPRO is already removed, and I am happy with the factory settings.

All that you have done is OK, but at least you can try to reinstall entire OS now using HDD recovery option (F8 at startup) to see if everything works well again. Sorry, but if this will not help, I think that you need the BIOS downgrade to the old version.

  • Re: Satellite U500-115 - problem with the bluetooth mouse

    Hello everyone,

I use a bluetooth mouse Saitek mouse with my Satellite U500-115 (OS: windows 7) and a have a real problem that is boring:

Every time that I do not use the mouse for 10 or 20 seconds the pilot (or what ever) rocking in a kind of 'sleep', and it can take up to 1 minute until the mouse is available again. It is defenitely is not a mouse problem. I tried the mouse with a laptop LG and a windows xp sytem and it worked perfectly.

    I tried the following:

1 put in place the current on the site of Toshiba bluetooth stack--> having not caused no difference in behavior.
2 put the mode to 'Full Power' energy saving--> that seemed to have some positive effect, but not always. Sometimes the time until the sleep mode begins seems to be a little more but not always. In the "Full power" the mouse seems to go back a little more quickly when he woke from the mode "standby mode".

Test: as I wrote this text, the mouse driver began the "sleep mode", now I'll move the mouse and take the time needed until the mouse will respond again a moment):
    45 seconds

Is it possible to put the bluetooth HID in some sort of "permanent way"? At least the touchpad also reacts independable mode of energy of the laptop; This is why I think that it should be possible to use a bluetooth HID in the same way.

    Thanks for any help!

    Michael

    Hello

Go to Device Manager, click Bluetooth radios and choose the generic bluetooth adapter. Then, right-click and select power management properties, umark, allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and press Ok.

I don't have a bluetooth mouse, so I can't check if works. Just assume...

  • Satellite L500 - touch pad mouse buttons malfunction

I had a Satellite L500 with Windows 7 and recently the touchpad mouse buttons started doing strange things, when clicking on the right button it seems to work like the left button (for example, the window with cut, copy, paste, etc.) rises, it will continue to happen until you click the left button a few times and then the normal operation is restored for a couple of actions and then it happen again.

Has anyone already happen or offer any suggestions as to the cause and possible solutions?

    Thank you very much

I really don't know why your touchpad and buttons Act so crazy, but you can try to do is to open the touchpad settings (Synaptics I think) and set it to default settings).

After having again the functionality of this control.

  • Satellite P750-136 - left mouse button does not work

I don't understand what the problem is. My left mouse button does not work. If I put a little pressure on the Panel located under the button space then the left button of the mouse works.

What should I do? It feels like a hardware problem, since I bought the laptop in November my laptop is still covered by the warranty.

What you can do is to check the touchpad settings and make sure that everything is OK.
I'm don't know if you noticed this since day 1, but if you think it is hardware problem I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider as soon as possible. Warranty will cover all repair costs.

If this happens after a few updates to Windows, I guess that's the reason for your problem
