Satellite U500 - no automatic WIFI connection

Hello

I have a Satellite U500 with Windows 7 Pro installed. I've got also a Netgear Wireless Cable Modem (CVG824g v3) and ESET Smart Security Suite installed.

Almost in each time after starting the laptop, it is not connected to internet. The network in the taskbar icon indicates that there is a connection limited to my wireless network. I have to go through the troubleshooter in Windows, where it says that "there could be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection 2 card". Does not work well, sometimes through the steps in the resolution of the problems. In this case I have to disconnect the network, re - connect and it always works.

Is there anything AI can do to prevent this?

Thanks for any help.

Hey Buddy,

I must say I have never had such a problem, but maybe you need to update the WLAN driver. Portal Toshiba WLAN, you can download a more recent and pre-tested Toshiba:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, I would recommend updating the firmware on your router. Therefore, you should check the Netgear Homepage.

  • Satellite C660D - no automatic WIFI connection

    Hello

I have a Satellite C660D. Whenever I turn on I have to manually connect to the wireless network. If I check the box "Connect automatically when this network is in range" he chooses but if I open the box a few minutes later, it is deselected. I have the drivers updated and turned off "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
Would be grateful for any ideas.

    Hey,.

There are already some threads here in the forum about connectivity WLAn on satellite C660 and I would recommend checking these threads.

What you have to do is update WLAN driver and turn off characteristic energy saving feature in Windows power management.

  • Satellite Pro NB10 limited wifi connection

I use Satellite NB10 Pro with version 1.20 of the BIOS and windows 64-bit of 8.1. I have trouble with several times the limited wifi connection. When I remove the driver and reinstall it, it works again. Pilot already updated, but keeps same problem. Tried several Satellite Pro NB10 same problem. Any suggestions?

For most of the WLan connectivity issues are related to the IP attribute the problems.
Usually the IP address is assigned automatically using DHCP service.

In case this question would appear once again, you can try to refresh the IP address.
Start the console (black DOS window) using the command: CMD (type CMD in search)
Then use the command: ipconfig / renew

If this question would never happen again, I recommend you to reset the WLan router.

  • Satellite A300 - give up WIFI connection

I recently bought a Satellite A300, but unfortunately it keeps down the internet WIFI connection while surfing the net.
It's only recently, in the last 2 weeks and I did not install new software that can do this.

I have a connection by wireless modem netgear aged 12 months which is connected to my main computer (wireless).
I use a secure connection which needs a wep key and is compatible with Windows Vista.

I also use this connection for my laptop from a different manufacture that I have no problem with. I also have Wifi on Wii and Xbox so I was wondering if there could be interference. Xbox Cup connection also.
I have only 2 related both objects and they are not even in the same place or even near each other...

When I diagnose the problem it says weak signal, but the intensity of the signal on the computer shows excellent.
If I plug the ethernet cable then everything works fine.

Very puzzled as to why this happens, having run checks virus on computers and nothing.
Uninstalling the connectivity doctor, still no joy.
All that it suggest that there is problem ISP but given that I can connect to my other laptop and desktop PC and no problems so do not know if it is...

Can someone help, I'm not very technical and am now very mentally drained

    Thank you

    Hello!

First of all, you must update your WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

He recommended to disable some options that could have an impact on the energy-saving WLAN functionality.
In your case I would deactivate the energy saving WLAN and maybe this document option is useful for you

  • Satellite C50-B16T - slow WiFi connection using battery power

    Hello

I have a new Satellite C50-B16T and discovered that when I take it off the power, wifi is slowing down as HELL, to the point that I can't even use it and have to connect it to the power.

I saw a few solutions on a TX adjustment, but my Satellite actually doesn't have this option, and if this is the case, I don't know how to find it and why it is happening.
Would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions, since my laptop is now essentially a desktop all the time, which makes its pretty useless goal...

Go to-> WLan card device manager-> properties-> tab power management

Here, uncheck the option that allows the system to disable or control the unit in order to save energy.

Also check the tab 'Advanced' for possible energy saving options.

  • Automatic wifi connection does not

Since the update to El Capitan, my laptop is no longer automatically connects to my wifi at home on the opening of laptop after sleep (it does not connect because it shows an IP 169.x addy, i.e. internal) - I have to disconnect from the network, then reconnect it.   Then everything is as usual.   But it reconnects perfectly to my wifi to work and many other wifi networks.    What should do?

Answering my own question: Sys Prefs > network > Wifi - supprimer to delete the network concerned, then reconnect to it.   Once I did, it reconnects automatically well.

  • No satellite L750D-IDM no WiFi connection possible

    Hello.

My wireless connection has dropped suddenly dead yesterday.
He said that the atheros wireless network adapter works perfectly, but my wireless is disabled. support tells me that I have to turn it on, the adapter, but he didn't tell me where.

really need your help, thank you.

    > He says the atheros wireless network adapter works perfectly but my wireless is disabled. support tells me that I have to turn it on, the adapter, but he didn't tell me where.

I assume that you have the Windows 7 system preinstalled on this laptop and you don't alter the configuration of the system. Usually, if you get the notification that communication is turned off, the ignition is very easy.
You must use the function keys to activate the Wlan.

As I m trunk not on l750 satellite laptop WLan can only be activated using the Fn + F8 keys

I recommend that you check this!

  • Satellite C660 loses a wifi connection when unplugged from charger

I have a problem with my C660, when the charger is connected wifi works well, however, when I unplug the charger wifi loses connection within 30 seconds. This happens every time. I've updated the BIOS and no difference.

It's the second C660 with this problem when I bought the first laptop, that was happening, so I brought curries and they replaced the faulty laptop, however, the same question with the second unit.

We have 3 other laptops in the House and this problem happen with others, if this isn't a problem with my router.

Forum search function and read some threads in the forum WiFi category could help you find the solution ;)

  • Satellite U500-186 - slow start

    Hi all

Satellite U500-186 my wife is so slow to boot and load anything. It works on Win 7 Home and is standard as purchased spec.

It takes about 2-3 minutes just to boot and load of Live Mail.

Run AVG anti virus and not much else. Used only for surfing and electronic mail.

Also loses WiFi if he goes to sleep I get, but when you start again deactivate and reactivate the WiFI adapter to connect again.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thank you

Maybe it sounds silly, but it's nothing unusual for laptops with the factory settings. Startup list is quite long, and if you have installed additional things like Skype or any other thing that starts with Windows startup time will be even longer.

What you need to do is to disable all unnecessary applications in the startup option. This should be the first step. Do you know how to do this?

  • WLAN and LAN on Satellite U500 connectivity issues

I have a Satellite U500 laptop, the problem is that I have never connected to the internet, even if the modem works well in other devices such as mobile.
I'm trying to connect to the internet automatically and manually. It s always saying limited connectivity or local only.
I ve checked the driver for my wireless and LAN cards and everything works correctly. Then I plugged as the hub of LAN or Ethernet cable, sound correctly connect the laptop to the modem, but I checked the free config or a physician any link is in x.

I followed the steps but it s not solved my problem.
I hope someone can give me an advice.

Somehow it seems to me that you have a problem with your router.
Restart your router, and then try again.
I can understand if there is a problem with the WIFI but LAN should work without any problem.
When you connect the network cable to your laptop is green LED ON?
    Does not yellow LED flashes?

BTW: do you use the operating system preinstalled (factory State) of origin?

  • Satellite Pro A200 failing to connect with iphone via wifi hotspot

My apologies if I get some of the jargon wrong, but I'm pretty useless when you want IT emits.

I have a Satellite Pro A200 and had problems connecting to various wifi connections.
The computer could see the wifi connection and connect to it, but I wasn't able to connect to the internet.

The question of the Office was arranged by our IT support guy (security settings on the new router we too complex for my PC or something like that), but he has not been able to solve the problem of not being able to connect to my iphone to use the 'hotspot' via the wifi function.

Someone there knows a way to solve this, or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

Thanks for any help that anyone is able to give.

    > Someone know a way to fix this or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

This isn't a question of the age of the laptop
As far as I know not that support all mobile operators
You should first ask your mobile operator if you can use the tethering service.

If this would be supported in my mobile operator, then connect the iphone to the laptop first
So that you have two options: you can use the BT connection (in this case check if computer laptop also supports BT) or via a USB cable that came with the iPhone.

(PS: as far I know to attach is supported by iOS3.0 and higher)

After that the iphone was connected to the laptop, you must activate the tethering on iphone.
Under settings of-> network, you should see the option internet tethering it must be enabled.
Now you should be able to see that in the Network & Center sharing control panel.

  • Satellite NB10T - A - Wifi connection limited running Windows 8

    Hello

So I got a new NB10T-A Satellite with windows 8 and have problems with wifi connectivity.

It says I'm connected but the connection is limited.
I know that's not my wifi because all other laptops and computers in the work of the House very well with windows 7 and proffessional ect.

I tried almost everything, including troubleshooting, who comes up with the message: problem with access point or adapter without wire and/or invalid IP configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you don t know that win 8 happened and obsolete. The new 8.1 Win was published by Microsoft a few months ago and you could upgrade the Win 8 to 8.1 win free.

For this I recommend you follow the instructions step by step for Toshiba
    [How update of Windows 8, Windows 8 | http://www.Toshiba.eu/innovation/Generic/windows8_1-Upgrade-stepbystep/]

    With regard to the Wlan.
I think the Win 8.1 upgrade should solve your problem, but I think you should also remedy in new installation of the Wlan driver

    Hello

Before you begin to uninstall or reinstall some Toshiba firmware, I would like to know what Satellite L550D-xxx you exactly.

The point is that different L550D models were equipped with a different wireless network cards.
Not quite sure if your have a Realtek Wlan card. It looks like a Realtek LAN card.

However, you must first check if the wireless network card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager.
In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, you should see LAN and WLan card.
In the case where the card WLan display correctly (no yellow exclamation) WLan driver installation is not necessary.

In this case, you should go to the next step: check if you can enable / disable the wireless network adapter using the FN + F8 key combination.
Where this is not possible, check if other keys FN function.
Where other keys FN don t work, you must reinstall the software mentioned (Toshiba Value Package added, Flash cards).

This can be done in the control panel-> programs & features
After that the two software can be removed, clean the system using CCLeaner.
Now, you can check the EU Toshiba driver page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp to download the software deleted.
Installation is easy; Unzip the package and run the installation exe file

Then you should be able to use the FN + F8
After that the WiFi network has been successfully activated, go to the network & sharing Center-> manage wireless (left) and click Add to configure the new wireless network
