  If you are still running Yosemite (as indicated in your profile) then you must go to 10.11.3 El Capitan.   It is the operating system required for the use of the new Magic Mouse 2.

  There a solution to the issue with the mouse wireless in Excel 2016? I have a lot of trouble with the click of a mouse in Excel. I have to move the mouse out of the cell, I work in, click a cell away from her several times and then come back and try again. It's really very frustrating and complete a productivity killer.   You ask about the new Magic Mouse 2?    This has had some changes and is designed only to work with the El Capitan OS 10.11. x and upwards.  It is possible that the Excel program has been updated to allow this, but there again, maybe not.   I don't use Excel so I don't know.
