Save for web option missing (Illustrator)

I recently reinstalled adobe illustrator because my hard drive failed, and now that I've lost the save for web option in the file menu, can anyone help?

Hi Charlie,

Save for Web option is now in the menu file > Export > save for Web (Legacy)...

Kind regards

Just did the upgrade of the cloud of Adobe Photoshop 2015 - now the option 'Save for Web' has completely disappeared (not grayed out, gone!)

    It was mover file export.

  • Why is my pixelated text in Illustrator when I want to save for web?

I added a grunge effect to this policy. He is moving up and down and very well, but when I preview the it in the 'Save for web' option, it is pixelated. I tried making an object, but I got the same result. Illustrator should we can't measure these without problems?Screen Shot 2014-08-11 at 6.20.17 PM.png

This is a screenshot of the text first. Illustrator is open and zoomed in to around 600%

This second example is when I tried to register for the web and the zoom in almost 600% again.

    arcbo,

If I (put) understand, what you see is simply the image rasterized pixels.

If you save for Web to the exact size as it is used for, pixels correspond to use and it will look nice.

Any raster image looks pixelated when scaled beyond its actual size.

  • 'Save for web' as 'legacy' in Photoshop CC (2015)?

Anyone know why (a) ' save for web' is now "legacy" (under export) and (b) the question of whether something will replace it?

I know, it sucks. That's what I found:

From the 2015 version of CC in Photoshop, the file > save for Web option has been moved to the File > Export > save for Web (legacy) alongside new export options.

For these new export options, see export of work plans, layers and more.

and this is the link need you:

Using Photoshop | Export of work plans, layers, etc.

It is related to the new option of work plans they have.

  • Save for Web command is grayed out

I can't put pictures to webb more, there is a problem with the plug-in. Could't find the plugin entry point. What can I do?

Title of the message was edited by: Brett N

File-> save for Web is the menu to access.

Make sure you have PLUGIN FILE - save for Web (EL) .8be - PLACE IN C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Photoshop elements 8.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export

Try again with the Admin account.

Except for the Web option and others may not work correctly for non-admin users until Photoshop has been used in the admin.

To solve your problem of Photoshop open items by right clicking and select run as Admin and then run registration for the Web option at least once. The next time someone signs as long as standard nonadministrator user account save for Web option should work.

    Let us know.

    Thank you

  • Save for Web, change resolution?

I would like to change the default resolution in the save for Web option.  The reason for this is I want the images smaller than the current default value of 3008 x 2000 pixels.  I know that I can change the numbers manually - but how about setting a new default value?  Thank you.  PSE7

Save for web is not a 'default' for the size of the image. Size of opening will be any size is the image itself.

  • Save for web and devices?

Fireworks has a similar utility for 'Save for Web and devices' Illustrator where you can preview a JPEG or PNG while you vary the compression and the size of the file?

    Thank you

The file-> Preview Image done exactly that.

You can also switch to 2-Up/4-Up view to toggle the optimization settings and see the size of the files.

  • Save for Web file default in Illustrator CC 2015.3

Following the upgrade to Illustrator CC 2015.3, whenever I want to export my work using ' export > save for web... "it is by default in GIF file format In previous versions, it is lacking in any format that you used previously, but now it always goes to the GIF format.

I have made online and product and can't find anyway to change that. It's a minor change, but when you are exporting multiple images in the creation of digital assets for marketing campaigns is incredibly frustrating and lose time when you must always choose the type of file you want.

I've noticed this time when you use Illustrator at home on my PC and Mac at work. There is the option "Export for screens", but that can be a bit of a faff, especially when you have to go and rename each file after export.

In short, is there a way to change the default file format 'save for web', says PNG?

We have released a fix for this problem. Please update.

  • "Save for Web and devices..." option under the menu file is grayed out

I am trying to create a watermark as a fichier.png. When I try to save the file as a png via the option 'Save for Web and devices...' under the file menu of PS CS3, it is grayed out and cannot be clicked.

I want to save the drawing in the format .png with a transparent background.

I am running PS CS3 on Mac OS 10.6.8

    Thank you

    Gerard

There are a few possibilities: the SaveForWeb plugin is missing, the document is not 8-bit RGB or the document is much bigger than SaveForWeb can manage.

  • Illustrator CS5 - save for Web

    Hello

In Illustrator CS4 when I create a chart on my work plan and click on save for Web, the 'export' area is trimmed to fit exactly to the work.

After the update to CS5, it is no longer the case and I have to adjust the size of the artboard manually before using save for Web.

Is there a preference somewhere that changes this behavior or it's new and ANTICIPATED?

    see you soon,

    Kevin

Can't simply uncheck you the "Crop for artboard" option in the save for Web dialog box?
