Save for web which distort/pixellisant/corrupt

Hello

I am trying to save for web, but get a super pixelated, disorder distorted a file. I use the latest version of Illustrator CC.

Please see the screenshots below. Have tested all types of artwork, images, text, vector etc forms. I also tested with different versions of Illustrator to create files. All seem to be wiped out, including the display of original art! Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Generator is not using the algorithms of "save for Web"?

I use the generator for a while, but I noticed that the files are different in size and quality, so if I just saved for the web.

It seems more like the generator uses "save under" two save files and not the "save for web" which is the standard for preparing files for the web and devices

If anyone else has noticed that? can confirm?

OK - generator does not use SaveForWeb, but uses instead a stand-alone library to save its image files.

  • Where the file is saved when I "save for Web?

When I'm with 'save for web', (AI 2014 CC), I get a "Save" button, but no button "save under". " After hitting the 'Save', I can't locate the new file on my drive. What is the trick?

    John,

Maybe it's time for the list: obviously, you should give the opportunity to the save location. unless it's a new feature just send it somewhere on the internet.

The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/preference-file-location-Illustrator.html

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.

I make layouts for digital designers who must be less than 250 KB. For a few months, when I try to save my pages of tiff in a smaller size, using the Save for web and optimization of the size of the file box Photoshop no longer works correctly.  Files are often 100 francs more grand than the target k 250 KB. In the Web dialog box, do you have the metadata one value other than None?

Which could explain the difference in size.

  • Save for web doesn't change resolution at 72 dpi

Hello, asked me to change my resolution at 72 dpi, and I would have thought that save for web would have done that, I'm surprised he remained at 300, and there is no field to change and make the change for a series of images. Because I don't have the time to learn the steps, what I have to do it manually in size image and how do I lock the height and width? TXS

Try starting with a document of a higher PPI.

Yes, that's what I was doing - and looking closer it is really strange.

I got a file of 300 PPI and he traveled SFW with metadata defined at all. It opens as 72 in Photoshop is one thing, but the bridge shows as 72 facilities. If he really band resolution, this field in the bridge would be simply empty.

So SFW with metadata 'all' really does include ppi - but it changes without worrying about 72.

Which makes absolutely no sense and must be a bug.

  • Windows 10 in save for Web, "the operation cannot be completed the directory name is incorrect.

There are a lot of answers for Mac and Windows 7-8, but none that I can find for Windows 10. It is not let me save for Web and I get the message, which is in the title of this discussion. I tried to reinstall it. I tried pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift, did not work. I know this is probably a registry problem, anyone got any ideas?

  • 'Save for Web' vector adapts to the bigger than the jury of art?

    Heya,

In the past, if I wanted a vector drawing to save for Web to a different size I create a new Council of art to a larger size, copy the drawing and it intensified. Then save for web, this new work plan.

However I have noticed that I can increase the Save for the size of the Web image at greater than the size of the artboard - this automatically to vector drawings scale? Or he will zoom just in a raster image?

It seems scaling vectors, which is great and will allow me to save a lot of time, but I wanted to check?

    Thank you

    Theo,

You get as well a raster by definition x pixel image size in pixels in the window to the size of the Image.

This is also where you can check Art (or Type, whichever is more relevant) optimized.

  • CC14 will not display patterns in save for Web

I created an image that requires significant use of structuring. Whatever the halftone created using the plugin Phantasm, but which is expanded to the points. The rest is similar brick patterns that exist happily on the screen and the menu color chart.

Y at - it a ceiling for the amount of detail can be shown in save for Web, and I found it? If I rasterize the model layers it displays correctly, but I at the exit of several executives, configurations, and the resolutions and don't want to have to remove the pixelation effects, whenever I need to make a change to the output.

Thoughts? With the help of windows 8 on a fairly capable machine.

    Thank you!

Edit: I also tried flattening of transparencies, that works to a certain extent, but I get a lot of aliasing and tiling misaligned in the model, when I try to save for web.

SOLVED! Until the user error. Not proud to admit it, but when things are buried a few layers, it is often difficult to diagnose the problem. Went to dig deep and found him.

Tile assets themselves at one point had changed to color mode mixture, although only at the surface of the ground, objects that were filled with this model were fixed as usual. I had not done that intentionally changed the blending mode, because it would not served a purpose, it must have happened by chance, perhaps when Eyedropping something else.

Thus, while they show correctly on the artboard (white white), they would disappear when it came to saving for the web. I tried dragging bosses over different colors, and who warned me.

Sorry if I wasted all the time, but if in the future someone has something that appears correctly in save for Web - digging deep, isolate the object and check your blend modes.

  • Animated GIF > save for Web (legacy) ends too large

I created an animated GIF on a work plan which is 768 x 90, but the Dimensions of the Document indicate 1456 x 416 (a lot of the images fly in and "shrink").

When I export as a PNG or JPG image it only exports the work plan, so that it remains the size I want to (768 x 90); but when I export > save for Web (Legacy) which is the only way to create an animated GIF AFAIK, it is exported to 1456 x 416.

How can I get to the exit of the GIF animated image to the size of the artboard? Thank you.

New export > export as a workflow is not animated gifs, currently exporting. It's probably something that will be supported in the future, however.

To export a gif animated image in PS using Photoshop CC 2015, do not work plans. Please use export > save for Web (legacy) option without work plans. The backup of the Web feature levels is not support work plans and probably never will be. Instead, we will continue to improve and to the export as a workflow.

  • Save for Web file of Preview size is not accurate (300%)

    I have a jpg 106 k.

In save for Web the size of preview shows to 11.85 k (quality 15).

Save the file. The size is 49 k - 300% more that the survey estimate.

    (why?)

Which version of photoshop and the operating system are you using?

Looks like you have some metadata save with the file.

Where it says set metadata from scratch and see if that makes a difference.

  • Keeping the names of original files in drop of save for Web

  • Photoshop Creative cloud - not jpeg, save for web, etc.

I've recently updated to a paid subscription to creative cloud (only app/photoshop).  I didn't not re-download the app, I have just licensed, but now when I try to save a file only allows me to save in psd, raw, tiff, etc.  It does not convert to JPEG, png, save for web, etc on the new files I create.  The options are still there on the old files when I did the test.  What is going on?  If I try to manually change the tag on the image as a jpeg, it tells me that I have a corrupted file when I try to download it online.  I'm new to PS, so maybe it's my own ignorance, but I hope you can help.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software but no luck.

    Thank you!

    < moved="" to="" photoshop="" forums="">>

What is the mode of the image you're trying to save?

Must be 8 or 16 bits/channel, if its 32, then it will not give you the ability to save in JPEG

  • Save for Web interface went black

When I opened 'Save for Web' normal gray interface is black, which means that all the dark text / parameters are unreadable (see attachment). I change all the settings before he began to do that and I reinstalled PS and it didn't fix it. I try with small pictures and have more than enough RAM allocated to PS, if I run out of things to try. Any suggestions?

  • Save for web cut the lower part of the graph

    Hello

I have a picture and when I use the 'Save for Web' feature (to save in JPG or GIF), I find the file that results has a little bit to cut down.

Example: if my work is a circle, the JPG/gif the background of the circle is a little flat.

    Does anyone else know this?

    Phill,

It looks like half of a stroke. The plan of work/culture area/crop must be set to frame the entire work.

It is preferable to ensure that work (together) fits into the whole points/pixels, which may appear in the palette/Panel of transformation.

  • Save for web in PSE 9 does not

I try to use PES 9 on a new Macbook Pro (it used to work perfectly on my old) however this new laptop running Snow Leopard vs Lion that I used to run.  It seems to work fine except for the 'Save for web' feature that doesn't work at all now, the dialog box does show up at all.  I tried to uninstall, reinstall, updates running, nothing works. Any suggestions?

Go to your usernams > library > Preferences and delete everything that you can find which starts recording Adobe for preferences (usually followed by a number) Web.

Lion you will have option to click on the menu go to make your username > library visible folder.
