Printer MG5420 with printing problems

Until recently, I noticed that the printer does not always appear on my wi - fi and I can not print, but I noticed recently that the printer even does not turn off if I pressed the power button. Now, I have to unplug the cable to shut off, then plug back in and turn it on just to print. The printer seems to work fine for a while after this restart hard but if it happens again where I can't print once more, I have to disconnect manually to restart. Is it a hardware problem and maybe I need a new printer? Its only a few years yet hardly use us it.

    Hey @rshri7869.

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

    I understand that you meet your HP Deskjet printing problems in advantage 4510 series e-all-in-one printer to your computer Windows 8.1. You have included a large number of useful information in your post, so thank you. After reviewing the troubleshooting you have already finished, I came to the conclusion that what you feel is a conflict of driver on your computer Windows 8.1. To fix this please follow the steps below.

    How to add another driver:

    1. Open the Start screen (by selecting the windows start button in the lower left corner or by selecting the "Windows" button at the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key
    2. In the start screen, type "Devices and printers"
    3. If the option devices and printers automatically fills, click settings at the top right and then click on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your series Deskjet 4510 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new window driver opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next complete the new driver Wizard
    11. Under the printer properties window, select 'Apply' but do not hit OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your printer in HP Deskjet 4510
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right-click on your Deskjet 4510 series once more and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the dropdown 'Normal' for the print quality down to the right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK
    19. Try to print!

    Please let me know if the steps I have provided to resolve your problem. Good luck!

  • Printing problems with XP and Lexmark-documents are just stuck in the print queue

    Original title: printing problems with XP and Lexmark

    Until yesterday, I was able to print OK using Windows XP and a Lexmark Printer series 3500-4500 with wireless capabilities.  Reported network test wireless (on printer) and report indicates that there are no reported problem, also did the diagnostic test and which shows no problem either.  I can't print and documents are just stuck in the print queue - please can someone help, it drives me crazy because it's probably a very simple solution.

    I guess you do not have all of the error messages.

    It is possible that comes to mind that your printer has received a new IP address of your router (this could easily happen if you have several computers and other devices that connect to your wireless network).

    Find the IP address of the printer of his network diagnostic page.
    Click Start > printers and faxes, right-click the printer and select Properties
    Select the Ports tab, then click on the button "Configure Port" (be careful NOT to click anywhere in the list of ports)
    Make sure that the IP address in 'Port settings' is identical to that shown on the diagnosis of your network printer page.

    To avoid this problem in the future, you must configure the printer to have a static IP address.  See your printer User Guide for instructions.

    Choose an appropriate subnet address (i.e., has the first 3 groups of numbers the same as the other addresses in your network) but who is not in the range of addresses assigned by the DHCP server on your router.  See the User Guide of your router for more details.

  • Printing problem with OE - 6 format since the upgrade to IE - 8: no space between the body and the subject line text.

    My computer is configured with XP SP3 and IE - 8. I've been using Outlook Express 6.0 (update of MS according to needs). Messages are always printed correctly. Lately, however, the body of the message printed directly below the object without line - the space between them. This happens on my Brother laser printer and my HP inkjet printer. I have not changed my settings of the printer. I've recently updated to IE - 7 to IE - 8; However, I see nothing in the settings of IE - 8 to explain this change in print. I recently installed "MobileMe" Panel Apple configuration, which has installed a separate set of folders in the list of folders in OE - 6. I did a clean (with Revo Uninstaller) uninstalling the MobileMe Control Panel, removed the extra e-mail account/folders and rebooted. Yet the printing problem.

    How to restore the space of line between the subject and the message body?

    Hello

    1. How is like print preview?
    2. don't you make changes to the footer settings?

    Method 1.
    If that doesn't help you can not save the file wmp.dll
    a. log on as an administrator.
    b. Click Start, type cmd.exe in the Run dialog box right click on cmd.exe, click Run as administrator and then click on continue.
    c. at the command prompt, type regsvr32 oled32.dll and press enter and then click OK.

    Method 2.
    If this problem started occurring recently, you can restore the computer to a previous state. You lose Internet Explorer 8 and return to Internet Explorer 7. In this way, we can check whether or not the root cause of the problem is installation of Internet Explorer 8.

    Say the HP support? Often with an HP printer, the solution the easiest is to unplug the printer, uninstall the HP printer via Add/Remove, runDisk cleaning software and restart. Then download/install latest drivers/software from HP and only connect the printer when the installation says.

    Of course its possible allways the printer failed.

  • Printing problems with my HP LaserJet 3200

    I'm having a problem with my HP LaserJet 3200. Or maybe with my laptop? Sometimes when I try to print, it shows an error in the printer status area and no ready button flashing on the printer. If I cancel the print job, disconnect the USB printer for 5 to 10 seconds, plug it in again, and then click Print - it works. I can print, copy and scan, so I'm hesitant delete the printer and add it again. I use Windows 7 64-bit. I have the above work around, and this may seem trivial it will work eventually, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to solve the problem. Thanks for your help.

    Previously, I had Window Vista downloaded on my laptop and had NO problem printing wireless. Now I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have a modem from my phone company, a wireless router and a Photosmart All printer (C4795).  The same one I had with Vista.  I just can't get anything to print UNLESS I connect a USB cable from my laptop to my printer (very frustrating). I'm not completely PC illiterate, but not very clever of them either. Hello Sharon,

    Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

    How the computers are connected? If they are connected as a workgroup or domain?

    Method 1: Disable the security software and check if the printer works.

    Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: You can turn off the Windows Firewall and see if you can print.

    1. Press the Windows key +X key.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. Click on the firewallof Windows .
    4. Select enable the Windows Firewall On or off on the right next to the sign.
    5. Select the radio buttons Turn off firewall under Private and Public network settings

    Warning: after reviewing the issue, turn on the firewall.

    Method 3: Refer to the suggestions for the following links.

  • Printing problem in XP with compatible printer share

    Hi, I searched for a few hours for more information on my problem, but while I can find a lot of Fusion printing problems, none is quite like mine I think.

    OS = Leopard / printer is HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809 USB / VM = Windows XP SP3 / Machines virtual _ settings _ printers = enabled and corresponds to the default printer

    I have not installed the printer drivers / software that came with the printer on the virtual machine.

    The printer appears in printers and faxes XP. In the comment in the printer properties box, it says 'Printer created by TPAutoConnect', the location is indicated by "0;".

    When I click on Print Test Page XP shows me a test page is printing. Back to OS X, the print queue of the printer indicates the following...

    Status = printing

    Name = Test Page

    User = username

    When = earlier

    At the top of the window, a little less 'print 'Page of Test'." I get "printer busy (Status: 0x00002e9).

    And that's what I get. No printing. To avoid confusion, the printer worked very well for OS X.

    All suggestions welcome. Should I, for example, to install the drivers under XP?... my interpretation of the description of the features of merger 2.05 in this regard is that I did not.

    Thanks in advance.

    Setting a DAY = Just closed my VM and merger altogether, and then my printer suspended for life and printed the Test Page in Windows XP printer! Ideally, of course, I don't want to have to close to get my impression made

    If the impression of Fusion is not working properly for you, then you can disable this feature and then share the printer in OS X and installing the printer in Windows in the usual manner with pointing to a shared printer.

    ==========

    1. turn off the checkbox activated under printers in the target Virtual Machine settings.

    2. turn on printer sharing in OS X and allow the target printer to share.

    3. in Windows, add a new printer and add it as a network printer by using the following URL Convention.

    http://Computer_Name:631/printers/Queue_Name_of_target_Printer

    If you use linked by a bridge, you can also use:

    http://Host_IP_Address:631/printers/Queue_Name_of_target_Printer

    Or if you use NAT, you must use:

    http://Host_vmnet8_IP_Address:631/printers/Queue_Name_of_target_Printer

    Examples:

    The shared network printer is a HP LaserJet 4050N printer on my MacBook Pro, and the following information is relevant to this.

    ComputerName = MacBookPro

    Host_vmnet8_IP_Address = 192.168.51.1

    Queue_Name_of_target_Printer = HP_LaserJet_4050

    So, either of the following examples work in my Windows XP Virtual Machine.

    http://MacBookPro:631/printers/HP_LaserJet_4050

    I have a PDF document someone created with InDesign CS3 5.0.4.  It opens in Reader 9.1.3 and prints perfectly on some newer printers.  However on older printers at the bottom of the paper is cut in preview before printing and the actual print on paper.  Both printers are HP and I spent a few hours chatting with the Technical Support of HP tent of new drivers, etc.  Their conclusion was that it is caused by an older insoluble problem between the printer and the PDF.  They have, of course, said I would need to buy new printers even if they are not that old and works fine for everything else.

    So far the matter has developed in the other three offices. There must be one better solution other than to throw money at it.

    I have never used InDesign and wonder if there might be some settings used when creating PDF in InDesign or Acrobat that can solve the problem.  The form must be printed exactly as planned, so shrink to fit is not an option.

    Thank you.

    Sound isn't like an ID number at all. Sounds like what she is... a printer problem.
