Saving on a LAN path location

Hello and thanks in advance. Today, I bought two Officejet 6700 premium and am currently their implementation on Windows XP Home edition.

Configure shortcuts in HP Scan, I want to configure the save location of the path

\\192.168.1.1\share\scanner

but whenever I try, the software replaces my setting with the dossier of documents of the current user.

Change the field "save the day" to a path on C: works very well (i.e.... \Desktop\scanner).

Is there a solution to this?

Thanks and regards.

Amine. For the moment, HP Scan to save to a local folder only, anywhere you want on your system. (Personally, I tested on Windows XP Home edition only. I didn't want to share a local folder, and then point the location register at this address. This may indicate a software different behaviour). The server on linux (ubuntu maverick 10.10 in my case), I tried hplip drivers. I did all this work directly from the command line (in order to test it, ignite not suitable for office) with the exception of the analysis of the it function. Browsing the internet, I have not found a single case that said that it did work after a bone, re - install, but anyway, he wasn't able to explain why it works now. So I guess that for the moment, scan-to-pc is not implemented on linux. In conclusion, the simplest solution I found in my case is:-to set up the analysis to the task of the computer on a single computer only (one more stable); -Share the folder configured as save location so that other computers on the LAN access. Thanks for your interest anyway. Kind regards.

When I go to build a Setup program that DAQmx 9.6.1, Setup should request the media path.  I have no (cannot locate) a DVD for DAQmx 9.6.1.  I downloaded the drivers, but that the download is not accepted.  It seems that I need the original disc.  Is this the case?  Do I need to get a physical disk to build this installer?

You must not drive of origin for drivers to be valid. Try to install the version lastes out of our Web site at ni.com/drivers and restart your Installer. Sometimes, the order of installing drivers and LabVIEW matters a lot. In general, you want to have the drivers to be insalled after an update or updates of the software that uses them.

  • Question about path locations

A VI I work on stores a few commands in an .ini file and works a treat. I'll turn the VI in an application and have it accessible on a few PCs by copy the .exe and .ini on the PC or keep it on a USB key.

What I would ideally like is to have the look of VI for the path in the same folder as the application is stored in. So if I copy the file on a desktop computer or a USB key, it wouldn't matter. What is the best way to do it?

There is a function in the file IO-> palette of constant path called the Application directory.  When in the development environment, it returns the folder of the project file.  When in an application (exe), it returns the folder of the executable.  Use this function with the path to build to locate your ini file.

  • Photoshop saving files in the wrong place

I started using Lightroom, most recently being forced to leave the opening by their lack of support and development.  I have the latest version of CC 2014 of two (5.7.1) LR and PS (2014.2.2), and the operating system is Mac OS X 10.10.2.  When I send an image to Photoshop to be edited, Photoshop saves it in the wrong place when return to LR.  Instead of returning to the same folder that the original came, he returned stepped to the top of the hierarchy and renames it as the record that she was originally (sequence, if tried repeatedly).

For example, if I have a folder system in LR such as:

    2015

    January

    27

    < filename.cr2 > <-original file being transmitted to Photoshop

When I use "Edit in Photoshop" on < filename.cr2 > of LR, when I save the file after modification, using the close box in the window/tab and then clicking on "Save" when the confirmation dialog box appears [edit:] Note: the file name IS correct in the [\Edit] save/Cancel dialog box, the file is incorrectly registered as < 27. psd > in Januaryrecord.  The original file remains in the original location.  for example,.

    2015

    January

< 27. psd > <-new, edited, badly in a subfolder to modify and resave file name

    27

    < filename.cr2 > <-original file still correctly

This prevents also from stacking, because LR doesn't add images not in the same folder.  Repeating attempts end upward with < 27-2.psd >, < 27-3.psd >, < 27-4.psd > etc., all saved a step upward path in the folder of January.  It does not matter if I select the file to change it from the record of 27 , the January file or folder 2015 , he always he did the same thing and returned to a step upward from and named, the folder in which the original file resided.

He seems to be a problem of the PS is not a problem of LR, but I can't yet find a solution I tried each preference, which seems to be in no way affiliated with the backup or a file that controls the behavior in both programs, nothing helps.  I'm sure it's just a problem I have-D-10-T, but I can't find it yet.

Post edited by: edit Ken Lucke added noting that filename is correct all the way up to and including the Save/Cancel dialog box during the closure

The location to save files is your choice. Once set correctly, in the folder you select in LR, it will be always saved there.

In LR open preferences and go to the external publishing tab and down select what you want the edited externally to be named (IIRC the default is to add "-Edit.psd" you can change it to what you want.)

Select an image, a picture, and then click the export button. In the dialog box that appears at the top right and export to: make sure that it is set to HDD, then in the next section, "Place of export" select "same folder as the original picture. You can then select whatever other options you want to export and click the export button (you can delete this image, once this step is completed if you want).

Now when you right click and select Edit in and choose photoshop just click Save icon or Ctrl + s or command + s and not save as. At this time you should not get everything save dialog windows. The file should then be recorded in the original folder, with the name of the file and modify (or whatever you chose as add it to the file name) and stacked with the original, if you selected in the external publishing tab.

  • Emails sent via Thunderbird are not saved on the e-mail server.

I have a critical problem with the backup of the emails I sent to Thunderbird.

If I access my email on yahoo.com account and email from there, it is regularly saved in the sent folder there.

To access the other folders on the server, for example your sent folder, you need to configure your account as an IMAP account.

If you want to backup files individual mail, you don't need to save the *.msf files. They are just the index files and contain no mail. They are rebuild automatically when you start Thunderbird.

I have Lenovo 3000 G430 laptop, I used Windows 7 32-bit before, but now I upgraded to 64-bit, now the problem is that my Lan & Bluetooth drivers are not getting recognized despite them installed from the support page.

It says "W Lan Switch located in front is turned off" but it is powered, it still doesn't give any light! It is for sure that it is not a hardware problem with the switch, but a driver s/w problem.

And every time I have install the bluetooth driver, it says "Device not found"

What should do? I can connect to the Wi Fi Net now!

Hi, I got the answer finally. The drivers worked very well. I just downloaded the driver HOTKEY & on the F5 key. Now it works!

  • Calculation of lost fields once saved

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat DC with calculation fields and when I saw the document in format Adobe Acrobat, DC calculations work. But when I save the pdf file and open it in preview or Adobe Reader, none of the calculations work. I tried saving in each available path, why is this not working do not?

It should work in Reader, but preview is very buggy and is known to corrupt PDF files. If you even open a file with it he can damage it.

Try to open the original file in the drive without opening it first, preview and it should work. If this isn't the case, please describe what exactly does not work correctly.

  • Delete saved logs archived

    Hello

I am running RMAN backups on my 11.2.0.3 database using following command:

    RMAN > run {}
    backup incremental level 0 database archivelog not saved;
    }

Anyway, over time, the location of the archived log became full and I had to delete the files using RMAN (archivelog delete..).

My question is, how do I change the command above, so that RMAN deletes archived logs that have been saved during the current session?
Or can I possibly extend the ebove of work with a second statement such as:

    RMAN > delete archivelog all completed until 'sysdate-1';

    Thanks for all the recommendations.

    Best regards

    Hi karim,.

If you use the FRA during backups, the archivelog deletion policy would take care of automatically remove.
Simple put "1 hour of backup" and you should be fine. No need to use "delete all entries.

And it comes up with a "warning!" See below!

And this msg "Deprecated since 4.0 Please use FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication"?

Thanks in advance best regards aktell2007

Since flex 4, use FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication instead of Application.application

    IE: FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.systemManager.stage.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, enterFrame);

    also, for your example, you don't need the systemManager or stage reference so you can simplify to: FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, enterFrame);

  • XP pro do not start after changing the Boot.ini file

The problem is that my C: partition Windows 7
    D: has XP Pro

These should be considered right resp. partitions 1 and 2?

I wanted to first XP pro to start the default partition.

A few days ago, I made a change to the boot.ini file. But since XP Pro was not starting at all.

I tried XP Pro to start first that the default partition.

Given that XP Pro and my D: drive have not been starting, I consulted the boot.ini file in C:, Windows 7 partition and I changed the order (i.e. partition No.) in the boot.ini file and saved it to the required location, i.e. D:/WINDOWS/pss.
through my drive C: of work, i.e. the partition of Windows 7, but it still does not work because apparently even though I save here, the actual values and the paths of the partition are not actually be changed on the system. I confirmed this by going into the CMD shell switching to D: and by running the command D: > bootcfg.
Apparently any values I save in the boot.ini file that I save as a text file or "All files" in D:/WINDOWS/pss/it does not actually change in the system because whenever I run the command bootfg values are remaining still and not able to be changed, because apparently it is not saved in XP Pro and the D : partition. No matter what I do and what I put in the boot.ini file to access the values through the windows 7 partition, the values that bootcfg returns me are always the same and he refuses to change the name of path or anything else. No matter what orders, I also put in bootcfg himself.

These are the values that bootcfg gives me:
    default: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS

    Boot entries:
    Boot entry ID: 1
Friendly name of operating system: MS Windows XP Professional
    Path: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
The operating system load options: / noexecute = OPTIN/FASTDETECT/usepmtimer

My XP Pro partition is simply not booting, and it of my main partition and has all my work. It is imperative that it starts.

My Windows CD is also not start because apparently my DVD drive does not work properly, I had the anti malware threatfire (ThreatFire) installed on my XP D:Windows program disk but have uninstalled just in case it was blocking my changes to the system.

On C:Win7, I put the default operating system option in the Advanced tab for Win7 and the D:XP Pro to XP Pro, when he was the starter and work. Now I can only access my files D:XP Pro Player C:Win7. But XP is not just start. What shd - I do? Thks.

I don't have a very practical windows CD but my CD/DVD drive is not read and does not properly.

Looks like your original post stated that your cd/dvd does not work.

Respectfully, you will continue these hap hazard patches and your computer will not start at all. I'll try to help you once again. Please follow closely.

Start your computer by loading Windows 7. Click HERE and download EasyBCD. Install the software in trial version. Once installation is complete open EasyBCD. You will see an interface like the image below. Click Add a new entry.

A new screen appears as in the image below. Use the drop down menu to select Windows NT / 2 k/XP / 2 k 3 as described below. Type the name of the operating system in the box below. Of course, it will be Windows Xp (you can add the home or Pro to the name if you want). Make sure now that there is a check mark in the box "automatically detect the correct player. Once you have completed these steps click on 'add an entry '. That's all! You are finished. If all goes well, and if you have followed these steps carefully, there, now you have a system dual boot.

You can now start working on your cd/dvd problem.

  • Search for a file

How to find a file that was not saved I just closed excel

There are two answers actaully.  First of all, if you're using Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, there are snapshots. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx "easily access this feature by right-clicking on a file or folder, by selecting"restore previous versions."" It lets go back in time and access your files and folders as they were at earlier dates. You can get a preview of each file in a version read-only for the file to restore. Then, to completely restore, you can just drag the file to one, or select it and click "Restore" to restore it to its original location. "In Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, this feature is not available unless you use Explorer Shadow http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Of course, any of these processes to work, there must be previuous copies of the backup files.  It's not like in Outlook, where the projects are saved.   This feature is more for the recovery of files deleted, where earlier versions can be restored to save one of having to start from scratch - not not for recording of the drafts.

Second, when Exxcel closes with open files even without saving a file, it will sometimes open with these files showing as recovered (it depends on the version of Excel - it works better in 2007) and all you need to do is click on the recovered file to open it and then you can save it.  If it does not show a recovery file so it has not been saved and there is no way to recover the lost information (this works a little, but not exactly as drafts in Outlook - it is not always do and does only periodically for some work may still be lost).  It can also appear in the recent files (when you click on the orb and look right) but that is less likely if it has not been saved at least once.  " In 2007, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Word, there is an additional benefit of allowing the AutoRecover or AutoSave. In these programs, if you select this option, certain aspects of the State of the program are recovered when the program is restarted after it closes abnormally. "Whether or not you can recover your work depends on many of these features have been activated or not (and how Excel was closed).  What follows is the last chance to recover a file that has been lost (but it's more for the files previously saved for files that were never registered at all (but it can function as a file1 - I'm not quite sure)):

    1. Click the Microsoft Office button, and then click Open.
    1. In the Open dialog box, type the path and the mask below into the address bar at the window to display a list of the automatically saved files. The path and mask for Excel depend on the version of Microsoft Windows that you are running:
    2. Windows Vista

      %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows XP

      %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\*.xlsb

    1. Click on the name of the file you want to recover, and then click Open. If you are not sure which file you need to open, do the following:

    • The automatically saved files are named by using the following convention: Original file name (version Version number). For example, if your original file is named trucks, the automatically saved file name should be trucks (version 1).
  • Optionally, you can modify the file list in the Open dialog box to make it easier to browse through files to find one that suits:
  • Click the arrow next to the views button, and then click Details.
  • Click on the column heading to sort the list by name, size, Type, or Date modified. Click on the column heading to sort the list in reverse order. For example, click Update once or twice so that the list of files is sorted with files modified most recently at the top of the list.
  • Continue to open the files until you find the desired. After you find the file, click Save .
  • I hope this helps and that you are able to recover your lost files.

    Good luck!

If tha above does not meet your qeustions or if you have any other questions or you want to check if there are more options, please see the Discussion of the Office group at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.excel.misc&lang=en&cr=US where I'm sure someone will be more than happy to help you.

  • Problems with Windows Easy Transfer

I tried several times to use file transfer for my old HP XP on my new HP Vista computer files.  First time I made "all user files" and stopped to transfer to half way and says that my D: drive is complete on the new Vista.  So, I made a start to recovery to factory settings and tried again.

Second time I tried to transfer, I disabled the D: drive and tried to keep it short, not as many files.  He transferred what I asked for, but these files under a separate user.  And once again, flashing at me my D: drive is very low on space.

I did another system of recovery, but it did not work.  D: drive is always full.  I do another system of recovery currently see.  I negligence has not set a restore point before you start.  Women for the India tech support was no help at all.

What I am doing wrong?  Why Easy Transfer work "easily"?  I have so many games, movies, and music on my XP I can't copy on disk since I don't have a burner to work.  I'm not so concerned about the transfer of parameters like many music, although I hate to lose all my favorites in outlook express and web pages.

    Thanks for any help.

You can burn your data on CD/DVD or a Flash dive allows you to transfer data.

Here's info from MS on how to use it:

    Windows Easy Transfer

    Buy an easy transfer cable

You can buy a cable easy transfer of many computer manufacturers or retailers. To make sure that the cable is designed for Windows Easy Transfer, be sure to look for a "Certified for Windows Vista" logo or the "Works with Windows Vista" on the packaging.

Buy a cable easy transfer now at Windows Marketplace

Windows Easy Transfer allows you to easily move the files and settings stored on your PC under Windows 2000, Windows XP, or even Windows Vista to a new PC running Windows Vista. Windows Easy Transfer will automatically transfer things like:

    • User accounts

    • Files and folders

    • Contacts, settings, and e-mail messages

    • Photos, music and videos

    • Windows settings

    • Program data files and settings

    • Internet settings

There are several ways that you can use Windows Easy Transfer; Choose how you prefer to connect your two computers, select the data you want to transfer, then let Windows Easy Transfer do the work for you.

    Easy transfer cable

A single cable is a special USB cable that is designed to work with Windows Easy Transfer by creating a direct link between your old PC and new PC. One of these cables is the most simple and fast method for the transfer and is recommended if you do not have access to a network. An easy transfer cable will transfer data from the PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista on a PC running Windows Vista.

    • Install the small software application provided with your cable (or download here) on your current PC.

    • Connect the cable to both computers.

    • Windows Easy Transfer will launch and guide you through the transfer process. Your information and files will transfer at approximately 20 GB per hour.

Use a home network or small business

If you already have a wired or wireless network, it's a great way to transfer all your data. You can use your network to transfer your data in real-time on your network or by using a shared folder on the network.

    Using an external hard drive

If you have an external hard drive, Windows Easy Transfer can copy your data on this drive and then copy the data from the drive to your new computer.

With the help of CD or DVD

Windows Easy Transfer can use your CD or DVD burner PC to transfer your data. This solution is not ideal, but can work well if you move only a small amount of data that can fit on a single disc. If you have a large amount of data that does not fit on a disc, it is possible to use this transfer method using multiple disks.

To learn more about the details of the Windows Easy Transfer process, read more at the Windows Vista Help.

  • How to download local files automatically to AIR without Popup window

my AIR application is a desktop application, maybe shouldn't have too ask safe.

now I need let download will automatically popup a window. I know FileReference class described it is impossible to set a default folder, but in any case, I think that there must be a way could solve this problem, as every 60 seconds please download a pic whithout click and go to the place where. This happened on Yes internet app, but are not true is happened on a desktop application?

If even he can't really achieve such a goal, is it possible as like using FileStream to write local data of bytes to a file or another?  I'm just waiting for it can been used these means to write in the photo or flv files

wait for the answers or clues

    Hello

Air runtime based on native applications are already * in * user's security box - once there are deployed in some way - for example by inernet downloads, then installed. Certain restrictions that apply to flash.filesystem.FileReference shall not apply to the class that extends: flash.filesystem.File - because it is performed in the office - no browser web/sandbox sandbox. For example, action of loading/backup/browser, etc. - is not requiring a user interaction to start - you would also feature in flash.filesystem.File that lets you do not ask for any location where the content is saved - but that build paths during execution by using methods and properties of the File class.

Your assumption on the download routine is simply OK, in the Air:

    -get bytes in application

    -create the file object reference

    -Open FileStream

    -write the file stream.

For example, by exact example see this excerpt from the Adobe homepage:
    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/Flex/articles/exploring_file_capabilities.html#b

    (file/FileStream details are in docs),

    HTH,

    Kind regards
