scaling of images

I can't understand a problem.

I installed InDesign Cs4 on two computers which is OK.

But the second: when I paste the image on the page, resize it to 50% and want to copy just drag with Alt key to pasta with the original size.

I have changed the preferences of switching between the when scaling apply to the content / adjust scale are but nothing.

What should I do?

Shot in the dark, but who knows: you have installed PlaceAndScale, by chance? If so, make sure to disable in preferences or remove it when you don't need - PlaceAndScale is great, but people often forget that they installed and then can't understand why things automatically resize...

  • Torch: OpenVG will increase the speed in real time for the scaling\rotating image?

    Hello!

I have such a problem. I need to view the satellite map (not vectored) with the possibility of scaling on in real time. Map is a bitmap either 1500 x 1500.

I'm doing the scaling that requires 480 * 360 for operations return the second part of the map on a defined scale, but it is not enough - it is slow to make good zoom in real time.

Maybe someone knows is it possible to increase the speed by using OpenVG? (OpenGL is not supported in the torch)

    Thank you for your attention.

Realization of OpenVG for play ~ 1500px x 1500px images, rotation & them staggering realtime works pretty fast.

So if someone needs of fast image processing to use OpenVG

  • Assistance needed for the scaling of image 1024 x 1024

    Hi all

I did a VI where I load a 1024 x 1024 BMP file. The BMP is generated by an another VI which is to get a picture of a videostream of my webcam. The raster image gets so grayscale for further processing. My final goal is to make a LV facerecognition

So when I load the grayscale image I get nothing, but if I use the version 512 x 512, so, I'm able to evolve without any problem.

I think it's sort of a problem of overflow, but I can't solve...

    Thanks in advance

24-bit image data are an ara of U32.  If you change the entry in the function Array initialize as a U32 instead of a U8 it will work as long as you notice the depth of the image and use the correct entry to flatten Pixmap.vi.

I have attached a version that seems to work.

  • Scaling of images without breaking the report l / h

IM in a situation where I need to scale images in terms for the container into which he kept...

Is there a formula to find the value of the scale that should be applied to the image (I put the maximum size of the container)? Any ideas would be very nice...

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure that understand the issue here.

Say you have an image of height and width b.  You want to scale to fit in a container of width x and height y.  Then the scale factor you use, to ensure that the image fills the container as much as possible, without upsetting the aspect ratio is simply

    min (x/a, y/b)

For example, suppose that your image is 100 x 150 and you want to fit it into an area 30 x 40

    the formula gives:

    min (30/100, 40/150)

This, at what scale will fill all the way up, but not the width.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • Sensitive issues during the scaling of images

Hi, I do not know what to do anymore. I have this newsletter to get finished before tomorrow and nothing workd.

Initially, I had a block of text for each feature, but after numerous tests, managers do not fit properly when you go down in the resolution and I find myself with blocks of text and images scattered everywhere, tried pinning of the options, but it simply doesn't seem like Muse knows how to handle large text stacked below the other blocks.

    So, I tried option 2:

I cut and pasted all the text blocks (some have embedded images in them) into one; deep text block. Everything works fine - except that incorporated (including the headers of PNG) images do not proportionally - adapt leaving parts of these bleeding out of rights. Even though I have them reduced at each stop, they don't seem to remember when I text in the browser.

Please see a shot of Muse about how the layout is supposed to look like and then check the problem when I text on a site like Responsinator.com.

Is there a solution tho this?1.jpg2.jpg

Hello, I had the same problem for over a month now and the only reliable work around, I can provide for the important subject (Nelson Mandela) remain in the framework is to scale of the framework up to 320 px width and set the sensible option to zero. It's in your breakpoint 480 - so set the frame picture to the minimum display size and work your magic typography around that.

I am a beginner and I use the last muse CC when I try to incorporate an image and fits this image to fit properly on the right and the left corner, there is always a white space to the right and to the left when I saw the site. It seems that the image is too small.  what I want is: If the maximum browser width is 960, the image must match the whole place (right and left). what I am doing wrong? • Scaling of Images/background for Muse Pages

I work with Adobe Muse and have difficulty with sizes of web pages, especially when I try a sites page. For example, I have an a site page with images background four, one per page. (i.e. main image has, services a b picture, picture c and d image contact). I prepared my images, optimized for the web and put across the different sizes to see what works, like width 1100 pixels, height 600 pixels, then set and tested. Unfortunately, no matter what I change, the proportions always get screwed upward when I export the site. Image sizes are disabled or missing in some cases. Now, don't confuse this issue with mobile proportions. I know there are at least three designs; Mobile, Tablet and desktop. At this point, I just want to get office just before moving on. I looked at Lynda.com tutorials, even one on the sites of a webpage with Muse and this tutorial, the decorations were ALREADY perfectly proportioned. Both and the instructor does not mention how he got it. So please, can someone explain how to get the proportions of the image or a background page optimized for Web sites a page? Yes, I know screen everyone is different. I just want, more or less, as the user scrolls down, the background image or pages to be roughly one after another, instead of an unholy mess.

Absolutely useless. Learn the code from scratch. I regret wasting time with Muse I did. There is no substitute. Muse is a product that fails to respect what it promises.

  • Beginner question: resizing/scaling of images, STROKE and workflow.

Hi all.  I am new to the world of the Illustrator/design, so my apologies for what may seem like a stupid question and I thank you in advance for the advice.

Basically, I created an image in illustrator that I want to use at different sizes.  I thought at the start: "Hey, it's all the stuff of vector, so I should just be able measure it goes up and down without problem!  However, I quickly realized that while paths are vectors, the stroke applied to paths are not, and they do not change proportionally when I adapt paths.  So, if I increase the size of the image, the objects that were once touching now have gaps between them, and if I reduce the size of the image, certain traits begin to overlap. Just to be perfectly clear on what I'm talking about, here are a few screenshots:

    My questions are:

    1. Was my assumption that 'Illustrator files can be resized easily and inconsequential"simplistic and erroneous?  (It seems that it is!) Please help me understand how illustrator is or is not useful to create scalable images.
    2. Is the right way to manage this just to determine the need for size and have separate AI for each size files, or is there a way to 'better' which implies not manually kicks setting for images of different sizes?
    3. Third option of comedy!

    nvenet,

The perception of the way it should be is correct; but there are a few strangenesses that can mess things up.

An important one if you have strokes & effects of scale checked or unchecked, in this case, it must be checked, and I believe that it is unchecked.

You can find it in the Transform palette dialog box.

You can consider the object > path > feature of contour, then Ctrl / Cmd + SHIFT + G to ungroup, then Pathfinder > unite to change the path traced in a simple filling/nostroke. This will work regardless of features & scale effects.

Another important is the ghost of pixel grid Align attribute which may haunt you, know well in other cases; often you can recognize by distortions. If it isn't:

You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.

And you can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • Novice question - scaling of images in PP

When I pull my photos still imported from the source monitor timeline sequence and display in the program monitor, they re-size.  I see the option 'worthy' and percentages in the two panels, but my photos are be cropped.  What Miss me?  My pictures are already exactly as I would like in my video when I import them into the project Panel.  Thank you!

Option 'Fit' is simply one of the ways to see the program and has nothing to do with the actual production during the export, but Fit is the option that will represent how the output will be. So if the image is cropped, it will also export. A few things you can do:

    (1) in the preferences, the SCALE ON THE SETTING value and then all of the imported media will be sized to the sequence. However, does not affect the previously imported stills/clips. Can click clips in order, then manually change by sequence in this case.

    (2) use the Adobe motion effect and ADAPTS each image as you wish

  • Scaling of images without damaging them?

How a STEP resample images when you descale them?

This has probably been asked by anyone who has never used Fireworks, but I couldn't find anything by searching for previous posts on the subject.

And if you get wrong the proportions of an unhinged image you can get it back? without resampling of course.

    Thank you

When you import a bitmap image, convert it to a symbol (right click > convert to symbol - or - change > symbol > convert to symbol - or - F8 key). When you reduce the image it will keep the data of the image at full size, so you can then expand again until the original size without loss of quality.

Regarding the proportions, the best practice is of course never ruin everything first (which is really not a lot ask of someone who the work includes the design.) It's a skill very very basic), but if you were to lose the correct aspect ratio you can always edit the symbol, get the proportions of the bitmap in the symbol, noting the size and then apply it to the instance of the symbol in the document by entering the size manually.

  • Scaling of images with ScriptUI

Is it possible to scale selectively an image to display in a ScriptUI window/container? The best I can get is a cropped image, but what I really need is a thumbnail size image.

    JJ

Peter Kahrel explains how to do exactly that in his ScriptUI Beginners' Guide. (He credits Marc Autret for this tip, by the way, but I don't know where to find this particular post).

  • scaling an image in indesign

    Hello forumers.

is there a way yo scale and down an image/photo/picture in indesign as in ps or illustrator? im getting confused with the indesign way to do.

    Thank you.

That's what I do as well, also (for CS4 and upward) of smart guides help you make slam to widths of "common" as a block of text, or another image.

Omitting on Bob: rather than SHIFT, in InDesign's drag with Ctrl/Cmd can evolve. Add shift to maintain its original width/height ratio (this is a feature shared for all the drawing tools in InDesign).

A picture is kind of a special case, because the default is to resize the frame - without affecting the image (something miss me dearly in Illustrator!). By clicking on the image with the white arrow to select the inner stuff - the actual image-, then you can put across and around drag in his (prescribed) bounding box. Usually, we can't move/scale them independently and it is this that Cmd/Ctrl and Shift + drag is for.

  • Facilitate input/output to a scaling of the image?

I have an image with a keyframe on the first frame and the other on the last, and I have the image intensification on the last image. I'm not satisfied with how CS6 is scaling the image to the top, I would have to do more smooth. I do a right-click on the last keyframe and choose both ease in and also try to ease, although I don't see much difference. Which option should I use, and are there other options I should look into?

    Thank you.
