Novice question - scaling of images in PP

When I pull my photos still imported from the source monitor timeline sequence and display in the program monitor, they re-size.  I see the option 'worthy' and percentages in the two panels, but my photos are be cropped.  What Miss me?  My pictures are already exactly as I would like in my video when I import them into the project Panel.  Thank you!

Option 'Fit' is simply one of the ways to see the program and has nothing to do with the actual production during the export, but Fit is the option that will represent how the output will be. So if the image is cropped, it will also export. A few things you can do:

(1) in the preferences, the SCALE ON THE SETTING value and then all of the imported media will be sized to the sequence. However, does not affect the previously imported stills/clips. Can click clips in order, then manually change by sequence in this case.

(2) use the Adobe motion effect and ADAPTS each image as you wish

Thank you

  • Beginner question: resizing/scaling of images, STROKE and workflow.

    Hi all.  I am new to the world of the Illustrator/design, so my apologies for what may seem like a stupid question and I thank you in advance for the advice.

    Basically, I created an image in illustrator that I want to use at different sizes.  I thought at the start: "Hey, it's all the stuff of vector, so I should just be able measure it goes up and down without problem!  However, I quickly realized that while paths are vectors, the stroke applied to paths are not, and they do not change proportionally when I adapt paths.  So, if I increase the size of the image, the objects that were once touching now have gaps between them, and if I reduce the size of the image, certain traits begin to overlap. Just to be perfectly clear on what I'm talking about, here are a few screenshots:

    Original Image scale Small scale image
    ai_correct.jpgai_gap.jpgai_overlap.jpg

    My questions are:

    1. Was my assumption that 'Illustrator files can be resized easily and inconsequential"simplistic and erroneous?  (It seems that it is!) Please help me understand how illustrator is or is not useful to create scalable images.
    2. Is the right way to manage this just to determine the need for size and have separate AI for each size files, or is there a way to 'better' which implies not manually kicks setting for images of different sizes?
    3. Third option of comedy!

    nvenet,

    The perception of the way it should be is correct; but there are a few strangenesses that can mess things up.

    An important one if you have strokes & effects of scale checked or unchecked, in this case, it must be checked, and I believe that it is unchecked.

    You can find it in the Transform palette dialog box.

    You can consider the object > path > feature of contour, then Ctrl / Cmd + SHIFT + G to ungroup, then Pathfinder > unite to change the path traced in a simple filling/nostroke. This will work regardless of features & scale effects.

    Another important is the ghost of pixel grid Align attribute which may haunt you, know well in other cases; often you can recognize by distortions. If it isn't:

    You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.

    And you can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • scaling of images in the last muse cc - beginners question

    I am a beginner and I use the last muse CC when I try to incorporate an image and fits this image to fit properly on the right and the left corner, there is always a white space to the right and to the left when I saw the site. It seems that the image is too small.  what I want is: If the maximum browser width is 960, the image must match the whole place (right and left). what I am doing wrong? Thank you very much for your help!

  • Torch: OpenVG will increase the speed in real time for the scaling\rotating image?

    Hello!

    I have such a problem. I need to view the satellite map (not vectored) with the possibility of scaling on in real time. Map is a bitmap either 1500 x 1500.

    I'm doing the scaling that requires 480 * 360 for operations return the second part of the map on a defined scale, but it is not enough - it is slow to make good zoom in real time.

    Maybe someone knows is it possible to increase the speed by using OpenVG? (OpenGL is not supported in the torch)

    Thank you for your attention.

    Realization of OpenVG for play ~ 1500px x 1500px images, rotation & them staggering realtime works pretty fast.

    So if someone needs of fast image processing to use OpenVG

  • Urgent question about loading image file to boot to a concentrator VPN 3030

    Hi Netpros,

    I really hope someone can help me with this URGENT matter. I have an upgrade in 12 hours. By reading the Cisco documentation, I also need to upgrade the boot image file. Here's my question... the cisco image file name is vpn30xxboot - 4.0.Rel.hex but the VPN concentrator would accept 8.3 file names i.e. BOOT file format. TXT... so the question is is it OK to just keep the same hexagonal extension without causing damage to the file... That is, name the file BOOT - 4.hex... your comments are very much appreciated...

    Fernando,

    Take it out '-' usage just and naming BOOT40.hex

    What type of hub? If it's a 3005, you wouldn't need an upgrade of startup code.

    There is enough of an upgrade of startup code if memory is upgraded from 256 to 512 MB - just an info.

    Good luck in your upgrade.

    See you soon

  • Questions about the Image of the space, toolbar buttons, resize, arrows

    Here are a few beginner questions more.

    1. is it possible to get rid of the task bars that I have drawn autour ellipses? I rarely use them and would rather have the space.

    2. in the reference doc, there are more icons in the space indicated by the arrow. How can I customize this space?

    3. in the resizing of an image, 98% of the time I want to do in percent. Is it possible to do that by default? I could handle this with a keyboard macro, but the pixels to percent drop is not accessible via the keyboard. Solution?

    4. How can I tell PSE 14 make me draw an arrow (i.e., a straight line with a tip of arrow at one end)?

    Thank you very much

    1. is it possible to get rid of the task bars that I have drawn autour ellipses? I rarely use them and would rather have the space.

    Unfortunately, no. Many users would like.

    2. in the reference doc, there are more icons in the space indicated by the arrow. How can I customize this space?

    For me, I always have these icons on the right... Have no idea at the moment.

    3. in the resizing of an image, 98% of the time I want to do in percent. Is it possible to do that by default? I could handle this with a keyboard macro, but the pixels to percent drop is not accessible via the keyboard. Solution?

    These settings are not 'sticky', unfortunately.

    4. How can I tell PSE 14 make me draw an arrow (i.e., a straight line with a tip of arrow at one end)?

    Two ways: either as a tool option online, or by choosing a type of arrow in the menu (hotkey U) forms.

    Edit:

    The #1 question, my choice is to use the Preferences menu and select 'allow documents floating in expert mode. Allows you to use the screen for editing, which is recommended when you master the main shortcuts. Another tip: the 'tab' key hides the side panels.

  • 2 questions: Licensing an image for a book cover

    I found an image Adobe Stock I want to use on the cover of my book. Two questions: 1) is - should I buy an extended license through eu.fotolia.com because Adobe doesn't offer licenses? (2) article 3.1(b) of the States Adobe terms of additional Stocks (General Restrictions) that I can't "share the work with another person or entity. Does this mean that I can not send the image to the person or the company I hired to design the copy of my book? Please specify. Thanks for your help.

    Hello

    - Can Adobe Stock Photos be used for book covers?

    As a general rule, you can use an image Adobe Stock for the cover of your book. There are a few exceptions. The image cannot provide the main value of the book. In most cases, the cover is simply decorative with the contents of the book providing the value of the primary. Another thing to keep in mind is that the use of the image may be perceived as offensive by a model presented in the image. No romance, hot, content policy, etc. The draw of the limit is 500,000 if you should buy an additional license if you exceed sales 500 000. As always, don't forget to consult the license agreement for more information on the permitted use and if you are still unsure, it may be in your best interest to get legal advisers to revise the agreement in your name as well.

  • Create a survey - Novice Question of Javascript

    Hello

    I'm new to Javascript extrememely.  I did some research on the Internet and I need to copy and paste the code to create the results.  I am creating an online survey in Dreamweaver in which users select buttons to answer the questions, and then the total results appear at the bottom of the investigation.  So far, that's what I have:

    http://sicolaconsulting.com/SurveyTest4.php

    The problem I have with it is that on each line, the user can select more than one box.  I'm not so I thought of radio buttons would be better.  I then came to this:

    http://sicolaconsulting.com/SurveyTest3.php

    The problem is that with the function that I use, I can't get it displays the value of the first line.  I need to calculate the sum of all the lines.

    Can you help me to revise the script that I have to get my desired result.

    Here is my code for the first page, followed the code of the second page.  Thank you!

  • Simple question on. Images PNG/transparent

    I had to do a little work on a transparent image that will sit on a black background. I noticed as soon as I put the image on background is somewhat some layer mask changes I made are showing up... it's where I didn't quite hide all correctly. My question - is there a way to check my image in PhotoShop on a black background before I save it as a PNG?

    Thank you

    Before saving the image, put a layer of filling of solid under layer color

    that your mask. You can double-click the fill layer

    thumbnail to change the colors, depending on the background that you will use

    thereafter.

    Then just delete the layer or turn off the visibility if your use save for web.

    As you can see below some black in the flower where I missed in the masking.

  • Chronology of novice question

    Friendly assistance requested please!

    Maybe there's another way to do it? After several hours of error and watch stuff on Lynda.com Im still stuck.

    I'm new to Actionscript and try to fall along using the Code Snippts so I'd appreciate any help. I could normally get this all work if I put everything in a timeline. However, I tried to clean my calendar and I noticed a lot of videos have been people have 4 or 5 layers on the main timeline and then add the rest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My calendar has 4 layers in the following order:

    • Actions
    • Buttons
    • Main
    • BG

    Question 1:

    1. main (inter-generational: Movieclip) has incorporated a Tween who plays as soon as I test the movie. I can't stop this by adding a "stop();" on the first picture in the embedded timeline. Curiously, however, the film will continue to play if the "stop();" is placed as part of frist on the main timeline.  Why is this the case?

    Question 2 (and my main problem):

    2. I have 3 buttons (forward, backward and Stop) currently im using just forward until I make it work properly. I want the 'next' button to continue to act as the button image following throughout the film, but I also need the key to advance to the interpolation integrated within the Movieclip of the hand. How can I get the button "Next" to access the interpolation into the movieclip?

    Currently my next button has the following code:

    ________________________________________________________________

    Play_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToNextFrame_11);

    function fl_ClickToGoToNextFrame_11(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    nextFrame();
    }

    ________________________________________________________________

    So I thought that if I added another action on the layer in the second picture 'Hand' it advance to the embeded interpolation and read it.

    ______________________________________________________________________________

    Main.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndPlayFromFrame_5);

    function fl_ClickToGoToAndPlayFromFrame_5(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    gotoAndPlay ("WesternWayOfWar");
    }

    ______________________________________________________________________________

    Thank you, David

    If you want to click the movieclip of the hand and have it play and that the code is located in the timeline that holds this movieclip, then you must use...

    Main.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToAndPlayFromFrame_5);

    function fl_ClickToGoToAndPlayFromFrame_5(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    Main.gotoAndPlay ("WesternWayOfWar");
    }

    If you wanted the movieclip hand just play when you get to this image of the chronology of container, then you can simply use...

    Main.gotoAndPlay ("WesternWayOfWar");

  • Media Encoder Question - with explainable Images

    OS: Vista 32 bit

    Producet:Adobe Premiere Pro Cs3

    Question: regarding the export parameters

    For: Videos on Facebook. Req. H.264 video with AAC audio in MP4 or MOV, 30 images/s, 44100 hz format

    I have been exporting stuff for awhile by file > export Adobe Media Encoder, when the timeline is completely selected.  Don't know if this can help, but including anyway.

    My concern is the settings to get a pretty good quality for facebook. Video 720HQ

    The settings are shown in the pictures:

    options.jpg

    Now, my real problem is audio, I need that video has people singing and playing music.

    options2.jpg

    Now I don't know if its a preset, codec, I'm missing, or etc.

    But I see two thing when I exported audio:

    -the Audio quality, which I worked through soundbooth is a wav file, is reduced after compilation in Adobe Premiere.  In which I noticed strange fluctuations when there are peaks of the kind.  Noticed that Apple kept Lossless quality, but was not an audio format accepted by facebook.

    -I'm missing AAC format whichi I searched on the interenet without solution

    Two kind answers: I'm looking:

    -solution to find why audio codec AAC is not an option and add it as a choice

    -find the best audio export settings recommended

    modify these settings according to your own video... export setting fps should correspond to your project and your source.

    my test on 1920x1080p 24 fps came out very well, plays well on computer using media player classic.

  • scaling of images

    I can't understand a problem.

    I installed InDesign Cs4 on two computers which is OK.

    But the second: when I paste the image on the page, resize it to 50% and want to copy just drag with Alt key to pasta with the original size.

    I have changed the preferences of switching between the when scaling apply to the content / adjust scale are but nothing.

    What should I do?

    Shot in the dark, but who knows: you have installed PlaceAndScale, by chance? If so, make sure to disable in preferences or remove it when you don't need - PlaceAndScale is great, but people often forget that they installed and then can't understand why things automatically resize...

  • Satellite Pro L670 - 14 p - Question on the image editing screen

    Hi people,

    Have just bought the above laptop model online supercharged, 6 GB of RAM and had a few doubts about its relevance to specific tasks after reading a forum or 2 - (not this one). As I have not started because I can return it for a full refund (but must notify the seller prior to Wednesday 12 may not start if I want the refund) I was not able to solve the problems that I may have to know;

    1. I bought a versatile laptop because it is widescreen (have never owned a laptop before and served to 23 "screen on a desktop computer) BUT I do a reasonable amount of photography and the machine should display images at a decent level. It is a sine qua non for the purchase of the Toshiba. If it will not be so he can go back. Unfortunately I was not able to find the similar model in any store on site to see how it behaves.

    2 have you read angles of vision are not large.

    3. good quality is mediocre.

    Have anyone of you experience with this model, particularly if you're a photgraphy, and can you comment please? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    You can use this laptop for different purposes
    The laptop supports a 17.3 HD + TFT color LCD with a resolution of 1600 x 900 and 16:9 aspect ratio.
    For me, this looks like a great LCD!

    > 2. Reading view angles aren't great.

    _Horizontal look an Angle_
    -40 ~ + 40 degrees(Min.),-45 ~ + 45 degrees (Typ.)

    _Vertical look at an Angle_
    -10 ~ + 30 degrees(Min.),-15 ~ + 35 degrees (Typ.)

    Dot Pitch 0.2388 0.2388 x mm

    > 3. Sound quality is poor.
    The laptop supports the audio chip Realtek ALC259-GR like most laptops.
    Can not say something about the speakers, but it looks like they are not too small

  • Questions about the images shared in Photos

    My wife and I have a shared photo album, and I copied a picture inside. So I decided to crop the image, I did on the version in my own library. I was surprised that the changes appear in the shared image. Issues related to the:

    • Are changes as it's supposed to appear on the shared item?
    • When the images are 'shared' in this way, they only live in the cloud?
    • If I delete the original in my library, the "shared" version still there?

    Thank you!

    • Are changes as it's supposed to appear on the shared item?

    No, after the shared photo editing, share the again edited version.

    • When the images are 'shared' in this way, they only live in the cloud?

    They are stored on iCloud and downloads local shadow copies, which are visible in your library of Photos from your Mac.  But shared photos are not added to your photo library, unless you are importing.

    • If I delete the original in my library, the "shared" version still there?

    Yes, the shared version will remain in iCloud, until you remove the photo of your stream shared.

  • Assistance needed for the scaling of image 1024 x 1024

    Hi all

    I did a VI where I load a 1024 x 1024 BMP file. The BMP is generated by an another VI which is to get a picture of a videostream of my webcam. The raster image gets so grayscale for further processing. My final goal is to make a LV facerecognition

    So when I load the grayscale image I get nothing, but if I use the version 512 x 512, so, I'm able to evolve without any problem.

    I think it's sort of a problem of overflow, but I can't solve...

    Thanks in advance

    24-bit image data are an ara of U32.  If you change the entry in the function Array initialize as a U32 instead of a U8 it will work as long as you notice the depth of the image and use the correct entry to flatten Pixmap.vi.

    I have attached a version that seems to work.
