Scam or not
I just got a phone call, would have been an employee of windows, who says that they have received information that my computer is corrupted by various messages. These I found on the control panel errors in red and warnings in yellow. He says that it is slowing down my computer and produce other problems. He proposed to resolve this issue if I defer control of my computer for him for a few minutes. This seems a very weird way for windows to act. Can I assume that it is a scam? This not the first time thay have rung. They don't seem to have the details of my computer.

Yes, it's a scam. Unfortunately, they keep ringing forever.

Order by e-mail Held - is it a scam or not?
I ordered a XPS 13 on the Dell site us. An hour after that I placed my order, I received an email from "Order Held" informing me that Dell could not process my order due to invalid or missing credit card information. They asked me to call 1-800-571-3355 Ext 41-61285 in order to obtain the missing information.
I checked with my credit card company and they said that the payments to Dell was through. The status of the order on the dell website now is "In Production".
Is that what this e-mail "Command Held" trustworthy? Or is it a scam? In addition, what is the real status of my order?
See you soon
Hi Sybook,
Thanks for posting on the Dell Community.
More probably it comes a call legitimate. Dell does not charge visitors until it makes the device delivered, so if the Finance Ministry could not verify your payment method, then a "shim" would be on the agenda. Unfortunately, the order will cancel in a few days if the hold is not released.
When you contacted your credit card company, what is seen is a reserve placed on the card for the amount of the order, but the map is not loaded until it is delivered.
Please go through the process of checking with financial management so that the order does not cancel. If you want me to check the status of your order, please contact me private. Thank you.
Kind regards

FBI scam and not being able to use the computer
I used you tube yesterday evening to watch a video "elmo" for little girl, and this morning I got a screen that says FBI
and I couldn't use computer until I paid 200.00 to green dot pre paid card. I Googled it and said it was a scam
and I could use the computer in safe mode, but I'm stuck now and don't know what to do. I did a Norton scan and a
free scan Microsoft security, and both show computer is fine, but I can't use the computer in normal mode.
So what's up? What can I do? Help! Please
Hello
- excatly are you referring to when you say "tube"?
- What exactly happens in safe mode? When you say "stuck now" what error or problem you are facing?
- You are not able to start the computer in mde normal? What exactly happens when you try to start in normal mode?
- You receive an error message?
- What exactly is the problem you are having?
If it works fine in safe mode, and then perform a clean boot.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows Vista and Windows 7:

Note: Once you have completed troubleshooting, perform step 7: to reset the computer as usual from the article mentioned above.I hope this helps!

I'm worried if Ammyy is scam or not.
Original title: "Ammyy".
I received a call from a company called 'Ammyy' talk about how my computer had corrupted (I was told with many others). I had to download their software to clean my computer of all viruses that he had supposedly been corrupted with. I clicked on "Download", but did not pay for the "Privacy" of £299. They were able to use my computer from anywhere where they operated and I worry about if it is a scam. Is it and what can I do about it? Thank you!

Flash Player ' scam? Popup of Angelfire server on Mac
Unlike surf some websites hosted on the server 'Angelfire', someone has the last numbers to get annoyed at popup windows. Every time when I visit a several sites hosted on Angelfire Server (http://www.angelfire.lycos.com), I keep getting too bored popups asking me to install the latest Flash Player (see screenshot below).
Anyone of you can try to visit a couple of the sites hosted on Angelfire server example and see if you get similar popups like this snapshot above?

Please let me know. I think that this popup annoyed in the snapshot could be a scam, so that's why I keep the closing down and do want to install in my Macbook Pro. Take a look at my latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
All the tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thunderbird treats Facebook posting notifications as scams
I have put Facebook in place to notify me when new posts are made to a thread where I commented. For some reason, TBird treats these scams and warns me whenever I followed the link to the comments.
I can still make it, but it's boring. I would like an option in "filters" to mark a message as "not spam". Or something. Turning spam detection is a radical solution--I like _some_ helps avoid phishing emails, although I usually check URL before you click through. (More by fear of malicious programs because of phishing, but I always want to be careful).
Apparently, the notification of the scam does not work too well. You who can disable in the Options > Security > Email Scams.

Often, I get a warning message in Thunderbird that "this email can be a scam", and yet I already added this email address in my address book, so supposedly than Thunderbird should know that it is a reliable email address. Why he did this, and how can I do this function works more accurately? Please explain also basically also perhaps, as I'm not a very excitable person. Thanks in advance.
Thunderbird scam detection has no regard to whom the mail is to decide if it of a scam or not.
It has only 2 settings on and outside

Hi all
Until I look crazy, my Mac Book Pro (end 2011) is still running. Today, I already had some running applications (Safari, Virtual Box, etc.). When I tried to open a new window, Safari said "no internet connection". I shut Safari and attempted to restart.
"Failed to start Safari because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
He then removed Safari from the dock.
Environment:
MacBook Pro (late 2011)
68 GB free on 700 GB HDD
El Captain (10.11.4)
I tried to open Contacts. Same error message.
To be clear: these are the built-in applications on the Mac.
While I download application files, I'm fairly warned about scams and not did something recently on the machine.
I hesitate to restart where it tells me that my entire machine is a Power PC application and is no longer supported.
Has anyone ever heard talk about something like that?
Thank you
Andrew (write in a VM on the Mac as the app still works)
FYI - I have Remote Desktop running and was able to connect to a machine on the Internet, however, I can not start any application, Console.
