"Scan to COmputer" change scan settings

I have the J611 Deskjet 3050 a on a PC under Windows 7 64-bit. I need to scan a large amount of images with a certain size and dpi. I prefer to use the printer to analyze and record images without using the computer scan interface automatically. I have not found the options of scan on the control panel of the printer and I didn't any option of the computer interface to change the default settings of the computer analysis. I tried to create a shortcut and scan a picture in hopes that the options will be deferred, but it isn't.

For example I would like to scan the image according to a page size A4 with setting to 600 dpi and color B & W. When I create a shortcut on my computer, it works perfectly. When to place the paper in the printer and click the option scan from the control panel to create the scans of the page size is the whole scanning area and the dpi is 200.

I hope that this is possible, because it will save a lot of time. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

Sorry, you have a problem with the registration of your scanning settings as it looks that you have taken all appropriate measures.  Maybe this suggestion will work:

When you open the HP Scan, make your changes, click Scan.

Then click the sign lower to analyse in another page with the same settings, however it will record all in a single file unless you go to your advanced on HP Scan settings and select the file tab to create a separate file for each scanned page.

In addition, when you first open HP Scan, you will see at the bottom for "Create a new shortcut" and allows you to save these settings as well.

See page 24 of the User Guide for more information, but if my suggestions or link does not help you, how the printer is connected to the computer (USB, Ethernet or wireless)?

  • HP OfficeJet 4650: Change scan settings

I installed this printer (HP OfficeJet 4650) with my new HP All In One desktop PC. When you scan documents and pictures, I get the entire screen printing. How can I change the settings to not analyze that what is on the screen, without having to go back and trim surplus space to all about what was scanned?

In addition, the resolution of the scanned image is poor. I found the setting to change the print quality to the 'best', which I take as a higher resolution, but also does back up towards the top scan quality? I traced information about the change of the ppi of 200 to 300, but the instructions are for MAC/IOS - which I couldn't follow on my system.

Then allows the resolution to be adjusted up to 1200 dpi

(600 dpi is a good setting for more details in the old photos)

  • How to adjust scanning settings

How can I change the settings to scan using the HP Photosmart C4740? For example, to analyze something low resolution for display on the web, or high resolution so I can blow up the image? To scan in black and white and not color? To adjust the scan selection area? To select the recording folder? I can't find instructions online on how to run a scan of the computer - I can only find the basic manual that explains just how to put a piece of paper on the glass, and then press a button.

Thank you very much for your help - I feel very frustrated!

  • Officejet 4500 scanning settings

Windows 7, Officejet 4500, HP TouchSmart

I'm confused on the scanning settings that show in the window menu / machine.  I tried to change by using the software and then get questioned about the naming and registration of shortcuts.  Where will I see shortcuts and what types of naming structure will be easy?

This system is brand new and it takes me awhile to get used to.  The Officejet works well and I have not yet optimized settings.

I wish I could choose and start the scanning of the console not the computer.

    Thanks for your suggestions,

    Sylvia

Setting up shortcuts will not appear on the printer in the HP software. This allows you to predefine the scanning options you want to use and then give it a name and create a shortcut on the left side of the screen. So when you want to scan multiple photos in a specific way instead of having to go through the configuration whenever you can simply click the shortcut that you created. What is the front panel of the printer is to select the settings every time you scan using the control panel of the printer.

New versions of Flash have a sign installed on your system for the control of the settings.

In Windows XP, start > settings > Control Panel > Flash Player, click each tab and change the setting "ask...". ». Most likely your guests are coming in the tab "storage." By using the parameters of "Block"... "can let Flash on some sites.

  • Cannot change the settings on the computer. No access to the administrator account

Original title: I can't access permissions to change settings or programs.

I can not access permissions to change any settings or programs and do not have access to an administrator account, I tried what allows one but you must have admin permission to do so. Please point me in the right direction, it seems that Ive tried everything. ID realyy don't want to spend money on software

    Hi Christophe,

-With which user account you have connected? It is a standard user account?

-What happens when you try to change the settings? You receive an error? In the affirmative, please let us know the exact error message.

Since you are not able to create an administrator account, I suggest you to enable the built-in Administrator account.

    1. you must start the computer by using the Windows 7 installation media.

Follow the steps in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery-options=windows-7 to enter the recovery options in Windows 7.

Note: See the manual of the computer to change the Boot order in the BIOS and set the CD/DVD as first boot device.

    2. Once you start the computer by using the Windows 7 installation disc, follow the instructions on the screen then go food Advanced Options and select command prompt.

In the command prompt, type net user administrator / Active: Yes

After the command finishes, restart the computer and then log on to the administrator account by default, change the account type of the old user account and make as administrator and check if you are able to change the settings.

Follow the steps in the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/change-a-users-account-type to change the account type of the user account.

Once you have set the administrator type account with your user account, disable the default user account by following these steps.

    1. login to your user account.

    2. open the command prompt, type cmd. exe in the run search and right click on cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator.

    3. type net user administrator / active: No.

This will disable the built-in Administrator account.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Is Photosmart 7520 - possible to change the settings of the computer?

The news: Photosmart 7520 all-in-One, Windows Vista Home Premium, PC/Desktop Edition = HP - Compaq Presario.

I just got this new configuration of the printer and it's, and printing is great. (Wow, the colors of the pictures are incredible!)

For printing, I'm used to my other officejet J6480 and old Deskjet 882 where I can change the right to the computer's printer settings and click on print.

It seems on Photosmart, to change the settings, use the LCD screen on the printer. Is it possible that we are supposed to get up and go to the printer whenever we need to make a special request? (p. ex. - two-sided printing, change of grey and so on...) ??

Any way around this? Otherwise, it will be a problem, especially that computer and laptops can be long distances away from the printer.

I print for most of the documents and occasional pictures. I don't mind change settings for occasional photos, but a daily use of the regular document printing...

    Thank you.

I found a useful response to find out where to change the settings, and the one I found myself.  He worked for most of the models of printers, not just mine.

    = Congratulations to Bob K.

If your printer has a network connection, you can change the settings of the webserver loaded on the 8600. Enter the IP address of 8600 in your favorite server and click the defaults settings, copy settings, then make the changes you want, then apply.

    (2) I found software installed for the Photosmart printer which is saved on my computer and I can have fallen on by chance (like everything else by using the technology that seems), what is called Photosmart Printer Wizard.  This page offers everything on the computer screen and seems to control the good printer.

    Best of all.
