Scanning Photosmart HP 7510 question

In 2013, I bought a prointer, scanner, fax machine and copier HP Photosmart 7510.  I was able to use all 4 functions after the installation of the printer.  Scanning has been activtated through the HP Photosmart camera on my desktop icon.  Two months ago I bought a new HP desktop computer (a Dell was old) and was 8.1 Windows Installer to take care of the lack of support for Windows XP that was on my old computer.  All my files and programs transferred from the old hard drive on the new hard drive for the HP computer.   While I am able to use the printer, fax and copier, I'm not able to use the scanner.  Whenever I click on the HP Photosmart icon on my desktop, I get an error message - "configuration error, cannot continue."  I went back to the company that transferred my files.  They informed me that there is a problem with Windows 8.1 - the printer has not been updated to work with Windows 8.1.    Is there a solution for this?  Y at - it a patch or an update that I can do the scanner still works?   I would like to be able to scan without having to take a picture of the document with my smart phone and send it to my computer.

Thanks a lot for your help.  I followed your instructions and now I am able to scan successfully.

  • Scan slides to a hp photosmart mac 7510?

    I don't think there's a way to digitize slides to a mac at a photosmart hp 7510?

No, not really.  To scan transparencies and negatives on the scanner needs a backlight behind the media to project the image on the scanner.  The scanner on your printer has only a white sheet behind the scanned images, so this won't work.

There are several manufacturers that offer scans of slides or negatives for less than $200.

  • Photosmart HP 7510: HP Photosmart 7510 stopped printing

    Hi all

I bought my HP Photosmart 7510 in 2012 and, until recently, never had a problem with it.  I have a wireless connection.  My Photosmart HP 7510 stopped printing.  I checked with HP print and Scan doctor and followed the steps to determine the problem.   Check for levels of printing came out showing the colors of ink for all but the black cartridge.  I installed a new cartridge.    A new impression level check again showed no black ink level.   I followed the instructions for the cleaning of the printheads and waited as instructed.    I wnet to my printer a few days later and was able to print a few pages perfectly.  But after that, the problem started again.  Now, when I print a test page, I got only one or two colors showing but never in black ink.

I not made any changes to my system, and there is no driver updaates.   I wait with my OS to Windows 10 udate but haven't yet.

You can provide any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi norfolkgirl723,

Welcome to the HP support forum.

I understand that you use a HP Photosmart 7510 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 7 and you had a black ink not printing not question you thought went away, but now it's happening again. I would like to help with that.

If you do the function of cleaning head with the printer and printing that has no black on it, there is probably a problem with the cartridge or maybe the printhead itself. Here is a document of support for help with this question - color or black ink not print.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • Pro Tips: Troubleshooting scan to E-mail questions in e-all-in-one printers and ePrint

    Hello e-all-in-one printer users,.

If you're reading this, chances are you have a problem of webservices in your HP e-all-in-one printer. If you can not scan to e-mail, use ePrint, or get a code application, this post is for you.

Many of later vintage (2010 and beyond) Photosmart, ENVY and Officejet series e-all-in-one printers share the same Web services and Wireless features. Within these series printer, you can enable wireless and Web services (ePrint, scan to e-mail, printable sheets) connectivity of the façade do their installation for use with Android, Windows, iOS, Macand Chrome OS much simpler than the old printer models. Of course, when things go wrong or there is confusion about the use of the printer and features such as printing and scanning to e-mail stop working, the correction of these problems is the same in most of the models.

WebServices are not connected: what affects?

When the webservices connectivity is lost ePrint, scan to e-mailand pads features will stop working. If you are just getting started with the installation of your printer, the inability to generate a code application (to add your connected HP printer or sign in to Instant ink) can be attributed to not being able to afford Web services. If you are affected by any of these questions, read on. I have some suggestions that might help.

    Ordinary remedies

    • Before set you Web services, make sure that your printer is connected to a network, either via an ethernet cable or Wirelessconnection. Print a report of Network Configuration of your printer front panel (usually this is located under Tools / reports) to confirm an active ethernet connection.
    • If you are connected wireless, touch the wireless icon printer . If you see as connected and there is an IP addresses starting with 192.168... or, 10 grand. If this isn't the case, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect you with your network name (SSID) and enter the password wireless you are prompted.
    • Ensure that the date and time your printer settings are correct. You can check and adjust this via the front panel of the printer in most cases and trivia: the printer Web server integrated.
    • Now, with network connectivity guaranteed webservices icon or (depending on model) and try to activate Web services.
    • If you have managed to connect and a leaflet printed, or at the very least, an [email protected] address is displayed on the front panel of the printer, perfect, Web services are now functional. This means that you can now ask your HP printer connected , or use one of the above characteristics *.

Note that ePrint and scan to e-mail feature are addressed later in this post if you still need help with these functions.

    • If the webservices are always not, try your printer restore default*.

    * Note that this step resets the setting up your printer wireless, address ePrint and other custom print settings. If you have created a custom @hpeprint.com address that it will be permanently deleted. For more information on custom addresses ePrint, click here.

    Here's how:

    • The printer's front panel, press the Setup/key icon and then tap tools
    • Select Restore to factory settings
    • Note this new printer may contain this setting under the heading maintenance of the printer instead of tools.

Then, to reconnect to your network (wired or wireless) and try to set a manual DNS:

Make a note of the IP address of the printer.  Then, follow these steps to configure a manual DNS:

    • Enter the IP address in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer), and then press Enter to go directly to this page. This should take you to your built-in Web server (EWS) printer.
    • Click the network tab.
    • In the submenu on the left, click Networking.
    • Then click on the network (IP) address.
    • Click Manual DNS server.
    • DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8 manual entry
    • Auxiliary DNS server entry as 8.8.4.4
    • Click on apply to finalize this change.
    • Note that menu above EWS items can vary in overall models of printers. If you do not see the exact topics that I've listed here, the subtopic you should always appear on the Networking tab.

Then, press the icon of Webservices or and reactivate your webservices (required for scanning to E-mail, ePrint , and other functions).

Then, if a scan to e-mail question has led you to this position, tap the scan icon and enter the email address that you want to scan to.  Then, recover the PIN code that you should automatically receive by e-mail and complete your scan to E-mail setup by entering this PIN code in your printer.  Ideally, if you are able to get this good service will be fully functional.

Alternatively, if ePrint is your main problem and all the above (except for scanning to E-mail steps) suggestions worked, try emailing your printer a print job. If it prints correctly, ePrint is back online. If you are a user of HP ePrint app, the app did automatically detect your printer? If not, go to the application settings and manually add your printer to the app using either ask you code or IP address of the printer. Finally, if you're a printable, user use your favorite applications on the front panel of the printer, or via HP connected.

There are advanced troubleshooting steps beyond what I posted here and you can find them in the Forum such as displayed by the employees, Experts and members of the community. Start with the basics and if you still can't not to take advantage of Web services from your printer don't be shy to reach out - HP Support Forum's is a great place to exchange ideas and help each other to get the most out of our products.

    Hello

    Photosmart HP 7510 C311A or CQ877B;

I just bought & installed on it, everything works fine.

    Except eFax.

    I recorded with ePrint.

But when I try to register with the Panel AIO eFax, I get the error that my zip code is not correct, even though it is!

I installed the WiFi and the blue led is always when the PRINTER running.

I am a resident of Jersey, GB, England.

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance

    concerning

I don't know if this is the problem, but just a thought here. If you go into setup (printer control panel), preferences, then region/country, is it fixed for UK? If this isn't the case, I could see the postcode being a problem. As I have already said, just a thought.

  • Scanning Photosmart 7510 problem

My Photosmart 7510 worked fine for six months or so I've owned it. Recently however, my laptop stopped recognizing the 7510 scanner, although the impression was very good. After having tried in vain a few things, I deleted all the driver from HP and other software and it reinstalled from the CD, but the problem persisted. I worked through the guide installation failure MSI 1603 HP, including downloading of new versions of drivers and other software, and everything has worked fine until it is returned to normal startup in msconfig and restarted the laptop, how the scanner is not found again.

I run Windows 7 and connect with the wireless printer.

I guess that something in the startup is interfering with the communication scanner, resulting perhaps an update from Microsoft.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Chris170,

I see by your post that the scan has stopped working. To turn off the startup items, it started working again.
I can help you with this problem.

The cause would be a program that runs in the background.

Try with the Antivirus Scanning software off to remove the cause.

Then you can go into the msconfig for Startup tab and just activate a few elements at a time and try to scan the image. In this way, you can leave the problem not controlled. But your time will help.

For my part, I turn off everything but my Antivirus software in the msconfig. Speeds up the computer also.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • Photosmart HP 7510: Scan of the computer unavailable

Recently, I put 10 Windows on my computer.  I had to uninstall and reinstall the printer HP Photosmart 7510.  It worked fine for a few days.  I'm now getting an error message that will not let me print.  "Scan of the computer is currently unavailable" I used to be able to 'turn off' the printer and click "enable" and the problem would be in trouble.  However when I do that now - only activate it passes 4% then turns off.  Help!  I need to print jobs.

  • Photosmart HP 7510: Scanned Documents not previewed in Adobe Acrobat

Until recently, when I scanned a document Adobe Acrobat open with the scanned document. But he started at the time of opening to the top of the preview in Adobe Reader. I clicked on 'default value' now, it does not open any adobe program.

I went to the 'HP printer Assistant' and 'Document to email' and 'Document to File' both have the box "Preview Scan" checked.

How can I get the machine to open Adobe Acrobat with the scanned document as he has already done

    Hello cfmutton911,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you experience a problem when you attempt to preview Adobe.

I've seen similar problems with Adobe in the past.  I suggest you check the Adobe website to see if updates have been added.  If you did the Windows updates recently, you can try to do a restore of the system on your computer.

Here is the link to the site of Adobe support.

    Thanks for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • Photosmart HP 7510 - L:ooking to my reports of Diagnostic quality Print - why so much of more PHA "drops"? ""

My Photosmart 7510 C311a says it has printed about 7500 pages since I bought it in to November 2011.

Tonight, after replacing the ink cartridge Cyan, I ran the alignment of cartridges and then to print the print quality Diagnostic report.  As I was checking out, I noticed the mention in the 11, 12, 13 and 22 of the words:

    11 PHA installed: 24/01/2012

    12 PHA TTOE completed 1

    13 PHA Hex ID: K: 3ff11948_5c3f230b, C: 00f11d60_5b421f06

and on the line across the page of article 22, with numbers under each color cartridge.

(Color cartridge)       Cyan Magenta yellow black photo

    22 PHA drops 1493032000 4700387000 7245406000 51771850000 13001389000

While these numbers are very large, I was curious to know how quickly grew it in time very short (like five minutes) between the time I ran the first report of diag then align the heads and ran an another diag report - the more it was five minutes and I have printed nothing in between.  Then, after calculating the increase in each issue, about 10 minutes, I ran another report of diag and the number rose again.  For each color cartridge in three tests, with no more than 10 minutes between tests and with nothing, but the three printed reports, here are the three sets of numbers for ' Drops PHA.

    1493032000 1494847000 1496485000 photo

    4700387000 4702380000 4704197000 magenta

    7245406000 7247860000 7249779000 cyan

    Yellow 5177185000 5179178000 5180995000

    Black 13001389000 13008428000 13013963000

Between the first and the second reports of the diag, the numbers for each cartridge has increased by the following figures:

    Photo 1 815 000

    Magenta 1 993 000

    Cyan 2 540 000

    Yellow 1 993 000

    Black 7 039 000

I did not bother to calculate the change in numbers between 2 and 3 to test, but I suspect that the numbers will be similar.

My question is this: what is exactly the definition of a "decline in PHA" and how does fit in whatever the "PHA - process ' means?

I read two or three 'PHA drop' queries and associates on the HP Forums and responses - bluntly - sound as the maker of response has no real idea of what is involved - or - think anyone on the forum could understand the real answer.  Bad form...

I don't think that there is a "conspiracy to refuse" here and I don't think even the fall of the PHA is something I need to know to sleep tonight- but, it's some obvious and open information that HP was considered useful to include in each print quality Diagnostic report and one of the validated answers States that the PHA any 'thing' is used only for "diagnosis

Well, diagnosis carried out by who and when and where and for what purpose?  A really good answer, complete and accurate, based on facts could even help HP users to better understand the equipment that we have spent a lot of money to acquire and use.

    Answer please.

    Thank you

PHA is synonymous with the print head.  It's the Assembly the color and black print and electric interconnection heads.

PHA drops are the individual droplets of ink printed.  A drop individual is very low, the order of 5 x 10 ^-12 litres for the color, maybe like for blacks.   I would not be surprised to see 7 million black grave on a page.  600 dpi a square inch of paper would take 360 000 drops so drops 7 million 20% coverage of the page if all the ink were used for printing, it will be too little ink would be used for maintenance to keep the clear print head.  The here document contains information on using ink.

The diagnosis page is useful in cases where there is a problem in printing and you contact HP support.  They can have you to print a diagnostic page and can ask for some specific lines to help diagnose the problem.  There are a large number of items in the diagnostic page that may be of interest for people to support (or engineers during development), but most of the time, they are not useful for the end user.

  • Photosmart HP 7510 - can't find the option to check the ink cartridge levels

I used my HP Photosmart 7510 for about 3 years on my Windows 7 computer. In the past when I clicked on the icon of the printer, it would bring a window that allowed me to select what I wanted to do with the printer.  Analyze, check the properties, buy supplies and check ink cartridge levels, etc.  I always get a window but have lost some of the options. Unfortunately I don't remember what that all of my choices was previously, but the attached image shows the choices I get now.

There was at least two other choices that included things like ink levels scan, audit, shopping.  I don't know what happened to make me lose these options.

    Hello

Try to start the printer FRONT of the computer. The menu now has small change, ink levels are always on top. You can update its software (Oct 2012) by using the following package:
