Scout doesn't update or reinstall 1.1.0.0

Scout doesn't update or reinstall to 1.1.0.0.  (1.0 I presume)

All roads take me through the Adobe Application Manager.

It claims download and unzip OK and then gets 2% of the actual plant.

I ran MAO with and without administrator privileges, with or without Antivirus Sophos (behavioural and access scanning options).

All I ever get is:

Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:

Since the error code, it looks like you won't jscript.dll saved on your computer.

Try the following: press Windows-R to open the Run dialog box, then type "regsvr32 jscript.dll", press enter and click ok in the dialog box that opens. Then try to install again. Let me know if this helps.

I just had request Acrobat update which has been a success and also updated to Firefox. Firefox still has reports that Acrobat is obsolete. While the site checker plugin uses data provided by Adobe, there seems to be some discrepancies between the program and the version number of plugin that have not yet been resolved.

If repair office did nothing you need to perhaps totally uninstall and reinstall office.

You will of course need your original media and product key.

Well, sometimes it happens. I had a problem with Office on a neighbour and uninstall HP computer and reinstalling Office, it has not fixed the problem only a complete new beginning. You probably don't want to go to this extreme, then I suggest that you continue to download and manually install the office updates.

  • Does WSUS / Windows Update Agent reinstall updates not installed

I looked for an answer to this all morning and probably I am suffering from block of the researcher and cannot choose the right keywords, but I can't find the answer.

In our environment - Server 2003, WSUS 3.0, XP desktop computers - we have finally approved XP SP3 for client machines and had some problems and some a few machines requiring to uninstall SP3.  Is WSUS / Windows Update Agent try to reinstall the service pack again at the next scheduled update (detection as absent but approved), or he knows that he was already installed once and then uninstalled and do not try to install it again?

If this is the first, how can I let SP3 approved for the rest of the Organization and prevent its installation on machines that have yet to be addressed, short of creating a new ORGANIZATIONAL unit for them?

If it is the latter, how can I say get to install at a later date once we have addressed the issues?

This is probably the problem.  Got a new Vista CD to reinstall and it won't let me, either.  Just search updates. I had this problem essentially since I have my laptop in 2008.  All of the updates fail.   I checked my firewall and updates? When I got to the updates of the program I get an error 5 and the InstallShield Wizard comes up and says that everything is installed?    Help.  I'm probably not explaining this well but hope someone can help me.
